Hey, a few rocks for me to jump and I am a happy camper! This year pop said he is thinking of getting a helmet. I am more worried about the music on my iPod! LOL!

Be sure to put that on my tombstone should I not re-appear in a week. "Alas, he loved 'Europe' and we enjoyed his witty repartee on JP.com!" HAAAAAA!!!!!!!

I figured. Lake Tahoe and Mammoth are very far from each other. Wouldn't make much sense to lodge in Lake Tahoe and make the long drive to Mammoth. Tahoe is very nice, by the way. I went there in late May a few years ago and there was still snow in the mountains.

So I guess Pop changed plans and I am not going to Mammoth! HAAAA!!!

You can tell that at 1am+ I am not terribly involved in this whole situation. I am just hoping the bottle of Port I have stuffed into my skiboot doesn't break in transit.

Pfff...I WISH Davis gets snow. Nope. I live about 2-3 hours from Lake Tahoe...possibly more. Sacramento is smack dab in between...Davis is to the West, Tahoe to the East.

Thanks but I am not exactly sure where I am going! LOL!!! I have yet to pack save for my ski gear. Pop got a condo rental by Lake Tahoe and I am hoping he picks me up in Sacramento where said Tía Lola lives. I hear they (you?) are getting a good snowfall today.

True. Nothing like the original. I had some cotija cheese from Guadalajara during Winter Break and it was HEAVENLY!

I'll be waving at ya from Davis when you get to Mammoth. Hope you have fun!!

Paseo de la Reforma is one of the biggest roads in México, D.F. and Guanajuato is both the state and the city were I spent a lot of my childhood. If you ever get to either, I'll have really good places for you to eat.

Ok I'm going to have to crack out googlemaps to see exactly where on the Mexican map those places are LOL!

No. I have never had good Mexican outside of México or the US and even the US is iffy at best. Too much oil.

About off for Northern CA tomorrow morn for a little alpine skiing. While tía Lola makes a great posole, nothing compares to my favorite spot right off of the Paseo de la Reforma or Guanajuato. Then again, I am picky! HAAA!!!!!

Come to Cali. All the best Mexican food you can possibly eat will be right there (except for Taco Bell...stay away from there if you only want the most authentic stuff). If you're planning to go to SoCal, look for a place called Tacos México. They've got the greatest tacos EVER!! Or you can visit my mom...she makes great Mexican food as well.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Friday, March 12, 2010 10:35:12 PM)

Yep, it was the best burrito ever LOL! At a place called Benitos Hat Mexican Kitchen, oh man it was devine. I haven't eaten Mexican food in the US (or Mexico) for many years, but it is my intention, hopefully next year, to travel back to the USA and eat plenty of mexican food in the process LOL!

Really? I've just been wondering as to how much a difference there is between Mexican food made here and the Mexican food made overthere in Europe (or if they even make it). Only one way to find out: travel to that continent, of course!

Phantom!! Strat!! Anybody living in or has traveled to Europe ...any answers?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Friday, March 12, 2010 10:22:35 PM)

The best burrito I have ever had was in London, oh man I could do with one of those right now as for continental Europe, not sure, LOL
