I think my analogy works well. But let's go along with yours.
And is that fan whose team "sucks" going to give in? I seriously doubt it. In fact, if he were a devoted fan he would probably give the same exact response about the other person's team (get it? Devoted fan? Why else would we all be here on JP.com in the first place?). But then again, will humanity ever get along?
Sorry, but differing opinions are inevitable, and some of them will come with extreme responses. In the world of the Internets, it's neverending. You either live with it or move along. Why do they say what they have to say? Simply because they can. Like I can say Hip-hop sucks because I can (and because it really does suck). And who's restraining me? No one! That's life, though. And will be like that until an asteroid comes down and kills us all. Only then will we ever achieve world peace.
