everything by priest is great but these are my favorites. Top 2 from each album
Rocka rolla- never satisfied & rocka rolla.
Sad wings of destiny- victim of changes & tyrant.
Sin after sin- starbreaker & dissident aggressor.
Stained class- saints in hell & heroes end & beyond the realms of death (had to pick 3).
Hell bent for leather- killing machine & running wild.
British steel- grinder & the rage
Point of entry- heading out to he highway, hot rockin & desert plains.
Screaming for vengeance- (take these) chains, electric eye & devils child.
Defenders of the faith- freewheel burning, the sentinel, jawbreaker, some heads are gonna roll.
Turbo- out in the cold & reckless.
Ram it down- ram it down & heavy metal.
Painkiller- all guns blazing, night crawler, battle hymn/one shot at glory, hell patrol.
Jugulator- dead meat & death row.
Demolition- machine man & hell is home.
Angel of retribution- deal with the devil, worth fighting for & hellrider.
Nostradamus- Exiled & alone.

when I heard that priest was working on new material I was extremely happy. I can't wait to see what they made for us. And I think that it will be a full album because I dont think they would leave us hanging on a few songs. Can't wait for more info on the new material and the tour. Alright, I'm just teasing you...
So, what do you all think about the January 26th news that Priest is working on some new material? Do you think they heard our pleas to at least release a few songs through iTunes or something?
I just want three special release songs--a goodbye present to us. A whole album would be cool, but three kick ass songs would be fine. Two Painkiller type songs, and one song like Victim of Changes or something.

hey and welcome! I think sin after sin is my favorite 70's judas priest album and my second overall favorite (next to defenders) its a very dark album with very heavy riffs that were way before its time. Sure it does have some weak moments on it (raw deal) but it still is freakin great. Definately a good topic to write a paper on [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by tuffy-77 from Thursday, February 03, 2011 10:38:47 PM) | | tuffy-77 wrote: | | Hello, I'm new here and have been a Priest fan for quite a few years. Not too familiar with the newer stuff except that of "A Touch Of Evil" the latest live that I know of. I have one question for a paper that I'm helping a young Priest fan write
for an Eng Comp.2 college course.
What do you guys think of the "Sin After Sin" the third Priest album? I personaly love the album and also feel like it's an underrated album. My young Priest fan feels the same way.
And that is the topic of his paper (Underrated) and he's doing it on Judas Priest's Sin After Sin. I tend to agree with him, but why"
So, what do you guys really think of "Sin After Sin", seriously? |

yes Nostradamus is a great album. But it is definately not the best concept album ever. Have you ever heard the crimson idol by wasp, or operation mindcrime by queensryche? Those are in my opinion the best concept albums ever written. I agree Nostradamus is probably better than 7th son cause I never really got the story behind 7th son. But it is not the best concept album ever [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by METALMANJP from Friday, January 28, 2011 11:26:53 AM) | | METALMANJP wrote: | | I said from the begining that NOS is a Masterpiece. Now if I put it on I skip the preludes and some main tracks unless it's the couple I really really like and there are some.
The tracks I listen to always: Dawn of Creation/ Prophecy (together it has to be done), Revelations, Death, Pestilence and Plague, Peace/ Conquest, Persecution, Solitude, Alone, Visions, Nostradamus, Future of Mankind.
For me that would have done it, that would have passed as a good solid metal album to me as they are pretty strong tracks in my eyes.
I'm surprised that Future of Mankind is so overlooked by people it's a really underated track with some really heavy riffs and a perfectly written chorus even on Rob's standards it breaks the mould.
But anyways on topic now, to me this is the best news in the world the thought of Priest writing another fantastic heavy metal album is all the motivation I need. I would even settle for something along the lines of Angel of Retribution because to me that was a cracking album. Not one bad song on it not even Loch-Ness I bloody love that song, so heavy.
So yeah all they need to do is up their game again and restore freedom to Scott Travis's phenominal drumming because the drummng on Painkiller and especially Jugulator was jaw dropping and on Nostradamus it was too basic for my liking. yes metal is dying. Look at how many great metal artist are no longer with us, ronnie James dio, dimebag darrell, cliff burton, and on top of it all priest calling it quits! There cannot be heavy metal without the metal gods! Bands such as trivium and avenged sevenfold can go to hell cause they will never be as great and godly as priest or pantera or any other great metal band was.
There are a few young band that I feel will keep carrying the torch for metal: dekapitator (2007 album storm before the calm feels like it should have been released in 1987)
black tide (great young metal band)
But overall metal is going downhill fast. There will never in the history of metal be a band that achieved the greatness/godlyness that a band like priest or megadeth achieved. |

painkiller is a great work of metal you can't deny that, but I think the songs on rocka rolla are just as good as the songs on painkiller. When painkiller came out it was the heaviest, and fastest priest album to date so therefore it appealed more to speed/thrash metal fans and people do tend to like faster albums to slow ones. But anyway I would rather have people compare priest albums to other priest albums then to have them compare priest albums to maiden albums. That bugs me more than anything |

both albums are classics I don't care what anybody says. The only reason people do not approve of these albums is because priest tried to experiment with them and they were not as heavy, not as easy to headbang to as an album such as British steel or defenders of the faith. But still both are great |
