No, I figured you at least had to "like" the Painkiller album since you're into way heavier stuff than Priest.

Somehow you get the idea that I dont like the album or over rate it? Not so.
I love Painkiller,I bought it the day it came out,consider it #4 all time lp of Priests and still pump it heavily.
It is the everest of Priest's heavy albums yes,but to me Sad Wings,BS,SFV beats it. IMO only.
And yes I think fans want a much more heavier lp than AOR and Nostra. I do too. I liked AOR not only for the 8 out of 10 yracks I like but also the way it was purposely recorded not as heavy as Painkiller to harken back to an lp that sounded somewhere inbetween SFV and DOTF kinda sound ect....

| Painkiller is like the Everest of their catalouge, I doubt if the new cd will top it. Not saying it won't.......I would be super happy if it did. From what they have released so far they're heading in the right direction.... getting that swagger back. Maybe they are following Maiden's lead and starting to produce more consistant metal.....I think that is what everyone is wanting. |

I think what you're trying to say is .....it's got the "Painkiller swagger"...lol...and I'm sure when Painkiller came out in 1990 way more people liked than not. No split reaction like your saying. Sure ....some didn't like it....but I'll say the majority of fans did...and I'll bet the majority of fans want this new album to be way more heavy tan the last two.

I LOVE the title track! No you cant force yourself to like a song ( Revolution comes to mind ) but for me I feel as if I've heard this for years yet its obviously new ....I do consider myself very lucky ....I also love what I'm hearing so far from March Of The Damned....sounds like a pinch of British Steel yhrown in....just awsome!
I do have a feeling this album may rival Painkiller and give it a run for its money....it may even beat it who knows? Just because its 2014 doesnt mean they cant top an album 20 years ago.
I remember 1990 when Painkiller came out,and there was a split teaction among the fans....some hated it,some loved it. I sure loved it and still do!
Defenders 6 years earlier some fans were complaining it wasnt as good as SFV "Youve got another thing comin'....but now 30 years after DOTF its hearald as an all time classic.
I think years from now this lp will be deemed a classic. Nope,havent heard all of it no,but the feeling is so strong I just know this lp will KICK ASS!

Black Oak Arkansas was a good hard rocking band out of the south. Listen to them and then listen to Alice Cooper from the same time period and you will get the same vibe from the band and different personalities from the singers.

| I don't have any of their albums or cd's and have only heard a few of their songs so I don't really have a favorite. The Primal Fear songs I do like have a traditional metal sound to them which is what I like best. Good guitar solos and clear vocals like JP, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath. |
