Much Agreed, one might even say Ozzy's solo carrer is somewhat overrated because of the hits he had on his first couple albums. Dio keeps on crankin em out. as Ozzy should stop. i hear rumors hes going to put out 3 more albums...ugh, ill buy them tho. lol [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Saturday, August 08, 2009 3:27:58 AM) | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | I say "DIO". Because I am "SICK TO DEATH" of "Ozzy". It may not be his fault but I can't stand him these days...I like his old shit with Black Sabbath
and his first 3 albums.."Blizzard Of Oz"...."Diary Of A Madman"....."Bark At The Moon"...but anything after that especially nowadays...I just can't take it.
I feel Ozzy should of retired after the 1988 "No Rest For The Wicked" album....that album had a couple of cool songs on it at least.......but I still think
he should of wrapped it up after 1988. |

Rage,Rage Against of the Dying of the Light /Aanal Nathrakh
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray
Do not go gentle into that good night
Rage, rage against the dying of the light

Heres a song that is guaranteed to make everyone happy.
Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing life's gristle,
Don't grumble,
Give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...
Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]
Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life

okay guys i couldnt come on yesterday because internet was down and i left at 11:00 to hang with alison and anthony, but then we left for cleveland and i couldnt stop smiling.
all i can say about the show is Holy Fucking Shit. I had the time f my life, ears are stll ringing. Whitesnake was okay, i only like doug aldrich because hes great and did good work on Holy Diver Live. But then they put up the British Steel factory hang down thingy and chills went up and down my spine. Rapid fire started and the show took off. British steel was totally amazing to see live, but then they played the second part with Prophecy,Hell patrol, the ripper, victim of changes, freewheel burnin, diamonds and rust, you got another thing comin, and i was completely amazed at the piercing scream rob did. Everything was perfect to me. the highlight of the concert (maybe even my life, lol) was at the end of the slow part in victim of changes when rob hits those crazy high notes. holy shit i was so happy. Im still smiling from ear to ear. and hot rockin metal godess im really sorry i missed u at the show.although i did see a girl with the priest cross on her pants, and a guy with a ram it down shirt. if i knew it was u i wouldve yelled something. anyways i had the time of my life and i will remember it forever. |

Brave new world is a great album, 5 of the songs on that album are amazing, the other ones are great too. but what i meant was the 5 songs are great Maiden songs. listen to the song painkiller from a touch of evil live, he struggles hitting the high notes, and his scream sounds weird before the solo, that was from 2005-2008. the chances of him hittin those notes in 10 years are very unlikely. hes an amazing singer, but age takes its tole eventually. and metal meltdown has some very high notes in it as well. and the opening to all guns blazing? he wont be able to do that in 10 years. im not tring to criticize him, if thats the way its coming off. im just saying he might not be able to do that night after night, touring also taes a tole on your voice. Bastard wasnt very special, and the latest motorhead album was nothing to write home about either...and Blaze years were very good. most people hate them because Bruce isnt there, but some people dont take the time to listen to it. some amazing songs came from those albums, Sign of the Cross, Clansman! just to name a few, those are great songs, and Dance of Death was great. Paschendale was one of the coolest maiden songs ive heard in a while. and Brave new world had at least 5 good songs, Maiden's first 6 or 7 albums are far beyond better than "ace of spades" at least maiden made more than 2 good songs Edited at: Monday, July 13, 2009 10:15:03 AM |

The likelyhood of them doing a Painkiller anniversary tour is very low to none, maybe some special releases but no tour...i mean do you really think Rob can hit those notes in 10 years from now? he is a metal god, but he struggles now, ten years i dont think they would do that. and defenders probably not either. because although that was an amazing album they are doing Brtish Steel because how ground breaking it was and how it mad them superstars! haha, and i dont think they would want to revisit every single good album theyve ever done! lol
but in 2 more days i will see my first Priest concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by -imbiber of exploits- from Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:24:12 PM) | | -imbiber of exploits- wrote: | | There is a question to be asked--and I'm sure someone already asked it, butT I wasn't informed of the answer, so I'll re'ask this -- and if you, Judas Priest, or any other fan has any insight into this, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE!
30th anniversary of 'British Steel' means a commemorative tour to be performed of the album in its entirety live. Neat. NOW . . . what's the likelihood that some other albums made in the '80s or, well, 'Painkiller' will have the same attention given to their anniversaries? The idea Judas Priest came up with for this tour is stellar, but if they had the same attention given to 'Defenders of the Faith' or 'Painkiller' (really any one besides 'British Steel', to be blunt) I & many other will go CRAZY in excitement! Well . . . let me know what the chances of that would be. I realize it may be silly to ask at this point of the tour, but here's a shot anyway! :-)
Respectfully,
Al |

Motorhead is awesome, they are very good. Lemmy is a great song writer, he even wrote for Ozzy for No more tears, and he did a damn good job, he has more talent in his face boyles than most people will ever have! LOL. but Maidens first 5-7 albums, (7 for me) were outstanding and are considerd total classics. no prayer for the dying wasnt to great., one of their most famous live songs is on Fear of the dark. last 3 maiden albums were outstanding as well (IMO) so for consistency it would go to maiden, who was harder?now that is motorhead |

Steve Harris is honestly one of the greatest songwriters of all time, i mean hes written almost all Maiden songs with the help of others on other songs, but he doesnt just write about the traditional stuff. he uses history and literature. its amazing what those guys can do. |

Aces high, Powerslave, Rime to the Ancient mariner, are the only ones i can play from powerslave. i know many more maiden songs. and a lot of JP too. the solo after the slow section in rime is just so powerful. the way the drum roll leads u to it just sends shivers down my spine. i love it. |

Amen to that, Powerslave was my first Maiden album and ive grown to be a huge fan ever since. I love playing the songs from powerslave on guitar, especially the epic Rime of the ancient mariner. |

I agree seventh son is way better, and why the evil that men do bothers you i dont know. lol but can i play with madness was very poppy and commercial sounding for maiden. the only thing good that came out of that song was a picture i saw in the cd was Bruce and Nicko standing by a bunch of semi naked women all with a letter on their boobs spelling out "MADNESS" i had a good laugh at that because they want to play with madness
But somewhere back in time is a great album for me, Caught somewhere in time, Wasted Years, lonileness of the long distance runner, sea of madness and deja vu are my favs, and i think it has one of the coolest album covers ever, because many things in the album art trace back to other albums and concerts they have done. we can agree that maiden had better album covers right? lol [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Saturday, July 11, 2009 6:53:05 PM) | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | | lol! Yeah I know...I was just having fun with you...but yes...Maiden does have some great songs and some great albums.
I do not like Somewhere In time...there are only 2 tracks that I don't mind "The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner" and "Stranger In A Strange Land"...
The other tracks bother me for some unknown reason....its been this way since the album came out and my brain is settled to reject it....
Seventh Son album is FAR better than Somewhere In time.....Not an album I would say as Maiden's best but it does have some good tracks on it
like "Moonchild"......"Infinate Dreams"......"Seventh Son"....The Prophecy ...Only The Good Die Young............The Clair Voyant....
I never liked "The Evil That Men Do"...it drives me nuts and bugs me....Can I Play With Madness I never really cared for but
it doesn't bug me like The Evil That Men Do bugs me. And yeah...I've read on this website a while ago now, there was a member
who was being serious and said "Turbo" was Priest's best album! LOL! But hey...to each his own I guess. | | british.steel wrote: | | Turbo was theri best? Maidens first 7 albums were their best! somewhere in time and Seventh son were great albums. better than anything motorhea has ever done, and as far as New maien goes, Brave new world Dance of death and Matter of Life and death are truly amazing albums. Every track on dance of death and matter of life and death is great. No prayer, was maidens worse, Fear of the Dark had only a couple good songs, blaze years were good but unapreciated. Motorhead is the harder band, but not better. i mean every one knows about Ace of spades but seriosusly, most people cant even name anther motorhead record |
