" it has been a long time since i heard this one yeah yeah "
Guids says "YEAH!!" Loves the tune. Sends a classic right back to the faithful. First scream for the Café regulars as he sips on his tea.
No chair. Only hopes he doesn't break his own head on the jukebox!

Hi Guys, i have been thinking how to tell you guys the following news
there is no easy way to tell you all this.
after a year of struggle against my cancer many chemo's radiation and surgery later
i have found that my quality of life was seriously worse having so much trouble regenerating from the bowl surgery
still have so many side effects from the chemo and knowing
that i would still have to have two more major surgery's combined with the chemo treatment
and last but not least the heavy bills that we can't pay anymore pushed me in the direction
that i have decided to stop the treatment and try to enjoy the rest of my days with elly and the kids in a good way
and we will see what en when will happen.
You guys have been with me the last years of my life enjoyed the chit chat and the roleplay here
haven't met a greater bunch of guys and girls supported me with strong words
love you all and hope that the Priest cafe can continue with the spirit we have

" well they did a CT scan and a endoscopic check last week and the results were good, but with some bad news
the bowl has healed so they should be removing my stoma within a couple of weeks and do a special tie down of the liver
because it had shown on the scan that the tumour in the liver was grown,
the lung tulour is still stable but they saw two new spots.
so hopefully they can get rid of those twe tumours as quickly as possible.
How are you doing Vaill"

So glad to hear that you are out of the hospital and the first battle is over. It sounds like you are being well taken care of, the doctors dealing with the complications and getting you back on your feet. Keep the Faith and give em hell!
Glad to see you back in the Cafe!! Sit back and relax. What can I get you?

the cancer in my bowel system has totaly been removed
Twice i went thru the eye of the needle
first time was after the surgery, at the point where they stitch my bowel a leak occured witch was poisening my body on the inside
witch lead to high fevers and more but they attacked it with heavy antibiotics and slowly i recuperated
the second time i went thru the i of the needle was actually confirmed on the bowelfat they removed with the tumor in the bowel
according to test they found two more colonies of evil cells ready to explode into my body
and that would have infected all my organs then it would have been game over within a couple of weeks
but after four weeks of heavy battle in hospital i'm back
the first biggest fight is over
now we still have to take care of the liver and lung tumor
They can slice and dice 'm but Shadow keeps coming back

Hi my friends i want to thank you for all the support really does me good to read this.
btw in my sick period i have a lot of time on my hands now and i put that time to focus
on one of my hobby's beeing working with the synthesizer and i made a couple of songs
i know we are metal freaks i am but this is my hobby
on soundcloud i have about 33 tracks of all kinds ;-)
it has been six months now i have been treated for my cancer
what started of as a hopeless situation has turned into a slight victory
but the fight is not over yet as had shown on tuesday
received the results of the last scan and got good and bad news
the maincancer in my bowel has schrunk on schedule and the seeded tumor in my liver to
after 7 major chemo traetments
and 30 days of contineus radation and chemo treatment
but during the radiation / chemo period i could not get chemo for the seeded tumor in my lung
and results show that that one has grown
so i am getting that special chemo for my lung the coming two weeks
good news is that it will not pospone my surgery planning for arround august 20th
and that is so what the situation at the moment
but as i said so many times
I will not go down without a fight
and they will hav to take me under blood red skies
with that said
Shadow out ( btw older picture beard is gone now )
This place is like a burial ground. What happened to Hellrider, I can't believe he has not chimed in about the new Priest Album after his 3 ax attack rants for 2 years. I guess ill have a Jim Beam on the rocks.
Thank you for the gluten-free meal option, Shadow. Celiac Disease / JP fans applaud you! May I make one suggestion, though? Redbridge is a horrible substitute that passes for beer. "Daura" from Spain has won many an award and is WONDERFUL! glutenfreegourmand.blogspot.com/2012/08/estrella-daura-gluten-free-lager.html
Sadly, I had to come back to the States to find it! Not a single bottle IN Spain when I passed through two weeks ago.
Otherwise, wonderful! As always, all the best to you. Keep the faith.

Hi my friends, yes i am doing good for the moment
According to the docters even better then they excpected
the tumor has shrunk according to schedule
but most important the seeding out of the cancer to my lung and liver has been pushed back
i am now getting ready for fase 2 25 sessions of radiation treatment in combo with chemo
after that it's 6 weeks of rest and then they will do surgery to remove the tumor and outseeded cancer on my lung and liver
i'll keep you guys posted on that
btw our daughter yolien who had the lukemia cancer has just turned 11 and is still in remission no cancer found yet
2 more years to go and she can be pronounced cured :-D :-D
" yes i am fine Vaillant haven't laughed like this in a long time good to forget the hell i am in could you get me a nice meal suprise me :-D with a fresh coke "
Shadow rushes into the cafe and grabs Vailant gives her a big big hug for taking such good care of the priest cafe
"btw 4th chemo session completed and still going strong, next week friday gonna get a new ct scan to see how everything is going and if all is going according to schedule the radiation treatment should be up next
so they can prepare to remove the cancer in my bowel, then it will be my lung and last but not least my liver still long way to go but we are not giving in ;-) "
Shadow comes into the cafe to have a visit sits down at the bar and looks at the lovely pie
"one slice of pie for me to pls with a gooood cup of coffee "
shadow walks over to the jukebox and puts on some music
"Ahh yes those were the days nostalgic, btw guys had my third chemo yesterday and they cranked up my dosis coes it seems to be working, so looks like it is going in the good direction
after the next chemo they will be doing some new scans and test to see if they have stoppen and reversed the growth of the cancer in my lungs liver and bowels "
been with the cancer specialist today and all the scans and test are in
and the verdict is that the cancer has spread form the bowels into my lungs and lever
so the that will make the battle much much harder
they have placed a portacat into my shoulder today
and on monday the battle begins with the chemo and stuff
shadow gets a spontanious tear as he walks back io the priest cafe from his visit to the hospital
his heart is filled with the warmth from tyhe hugh of vailant :-)
but most of all is so happy to see all of his priest cafe friends are still here, headbanger, becks, guidoboy and budred.
calls everyone to the bar and orders a strong shot for everyone and says
"guys bad news, got the diagnosis of bowel cancer and they found two lumbs in my lungs thursday i have to go under a special scanner to see if the lumbs in my lungs have no connection to my bowel cancer
friday i have a appointment with the cancer specialist to start my treatment being radiation and chemo therapy so they can destroy the cancer cells and then after the will have to remove the piece of bowel
containing the cancer, the lumbs in my lungs they will also have to remove"
shadow turns to vaillant "well get me a good steak because the doc said i could eat anything i want for now SO LETS ENJOY WHILE WE CAN !!!!!
As I was preparing myself for hospital i tought to myself, let's drop buy the priest cafe just to put my mind of things.
Shadow walks into the cafe end gets a tear in his eye to see the place still up and running and so clean after all this time

i am so sorry it took me so long that i dropped by, but so much has happend and still is.
As shadow is getting ready to go he puts on one of his favorite songs in times of distress " before the dawn"
Love you all, and i'll let you all know how it turned out once i wake up from the operation.
Before shadow leaves the place he places a box of the best belgian choclates on the bar with a thank you not for vailiant.
during the show after avery song rob had to leave the stage to go backstage and what i think was to take oxygen
at a surtain point i was wurried because you saw him gasping for air.
the age is taking its toll on the metal god
and thats why they get my upmost respect that they are still doing concerts like these
it was a wonderfull concert was very glad to see the priest in my home town for a change and not in brussels
Nice vids...but i have to say = all wrong...that poser guitarist just don't belong there...and Rob sounds old...even scott looks bored shitless...soz...just my opinion.

I like this thread, it's pretty cool. I like that it gives you a chance to use your imagination.
I'll exit for awhile so as not to wear out my welcome. I can over do it sometimes.
I'll return, I kind of like this..
" your so welcome spapad ;-D and yes that coin has caused already so much misery and wel do much more damage, we all wished they haven't started with that silly coin."
- shadow gets himself a cup of green tea and goes back to spapad
" but to be honest its not that coin alone its really the banks and the stockmarket that is causing the most problems of all "
I put down the magazine article Bill was so kind to leave and stare at the Euro Vail just fliped to me.
Hey Bud, how ya doing? Check out this coin........one Euro.......I've got a few of these coins in an old jewelry drawer at home along with all kinds of Greek Drachmas of verious denominations. I think the Drachmas might come back to use some time soon. This one little Euro, Bud...........is potentialy the cause of one of the worst, if not the worst, financial disasters the world has seen. I guess we'll have to wait and see but this one little coin could cause so much trouble.
Thanks for the Duvell Shadow, and thanks for the Euro Vail. ................I return to staring at the coin.

"I wanna go...I wanna go"
"Hot Rockin'" Budred sings along inside his head.
Walking to the bar he politely nods and steps aside for the exiting Val who doesn't even notice him
as she walks by with her head hung low and slowly shaking from side to side while she's mumbling
"Freakin' widget, f#ck that widget, motherf#..that freakin' widget"
Taken aback Budred turns his attention to the bar where he notices Spa staring intently at some shiny coin,
first one side and then the other.
ShadowVt with a glass in one hand and towel in the other sees Budred and kindly asks "May I help you?"
"I came in for a cup of coffee but instead I think I'll try one of those fine Belgium beers that she's having"
as Bud nods toward Spa who's still inspecting her coin.
- shadow's back at the priest cafe after a good mornings rest and sees head bangers order and rushes to the kitchen
- bakes the fries and sidders a few nice slices of bacon gets a glass of fresh cold milk, when everything is done walkes to head banger's table
"here you go banger m8, enjoy and it has been a while how have you been all this time :-D "

Good evening shadow. What? Has everybody run off?
Spa walks up to the bar and orders a beer with (let me check my pockets)..........one dime and some pocket lint? Does not matter........... I have £ 10 imaginary money. I'm all set. One Micholob Ultra Please. Yes, that tasteless American Crap. lol
Could I also get a glass of rocka rolla (coca-cola) with ice, please? I think this should cover it.
*pulls out a sandwich bag filled with euro coins and puts it on table*
That's about 5 euros from when I went to Germany. Good times.

the mistake they made with her medication did not do any perminate dammage
and we are back on track with the treatment

Hi Budred m8
Yeah my stumake turns with the tought of the mistake they made
and i had to controle myself not to go to the doctor and give them a piece of my mind,
but we still need them to cure our little princess and hopefully without mistakes now
or as they put it without any confusion anymore
i'll keep you guys posted on the further develepment
Freakin' mistake??? Are you kidding me? I don't know you man but I feel so bad reading that.
After the last post I was hoping to hear something positive.
I commend you for not "mistakenly" choking the doctor or pharmacist. Stay strong, things do
work out sometimes. Edited at: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 4:41:28 AM Edited at: Wednesday, October 20, 2010 4:45:30 AM
Ah Shadow!
That is a terrible mistake for anyone to have made! I just pray that the results are in her favor and that a miracle has happened. She has been through so much, as have you and Ellie.
You are all in my prayers.

Hi everyone,
its has been awhile since we have posted here, because the difficult times with our youngest princess is not over yet
we have some bad news
the treatment at home has been carried out now for about ten weeks, she was getting chemo pils at home sort of after treatment after the treatment she had in the hospital with all the baxters and stuff
After these 10 weeks they suddenly noticed that the docter that was treating her gave the wrong perscription dosis, he had given her a dosis of 5 mg of chemo but it should have been 50 mg
the result could be that our daughter has gone into a relapse of the leukimia cancer and that the whole treament will have to be done all over again.
for the moment we are still wainting on the further blood results this coming friday, if those results are negative than monday next week we will then have to do a bone marrow punction to so the extend of the damaga that has happend.
hopefully it wont be that bad, but the blood results of las friday were saying otherwise the max count of 4000 and the results were 6000 so thats troubling us allot.
according to the information we got from the doctors there was some confusion in the medications and she said maybe the pharmecy made the mistake so that is how it always goes
doctors dont make mistakes maybe a bit confusing and the others are responssible for the mistakes
that dont intrest us the only thing thats important for us that our little princess gets better soon and gets cured from the lukemia
we will keep you guys and girls informed about the evolution of this case
yeah it is amazing isnt it and then they called it confusing they dare not to call it a mistake because that would be admitting wouldnt it,
anyway we hope that the damage done will be small but for that we have to wait untill next monday, this friday we will now a little bit more
hopefully i can post some good news
Ah, crap. VERY sorry to read that, Shadow. 10 weeks of the wrong Rx strength?! Amazing.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Do keep us posted as I know that we all wish you and your family all the best.

for the moment we are still wainting on the further blood results this coming friday, if those results are negative than monday next week we will then have to do a bone marrow punction to so the extend of the damaga that has happend.
hopefully it wont be that bad, but the blood results of las friday were saying otherwise the max count of 4000 and the results were 6000 so thats troubling us allot.
according to the information we got from the doctors there was some confusion in the medications and she said maybe the pharmecy made the mistake so that is how it always goes
doctors dont make mistakes maybe a bit confusing and the others are responssible for the mistakes
that dont intrest us the only thing thats important for us that our little princess gets better soon and gets cured from the lukemia
we will keep you guys and girls informed about the evolution of this case
its has been awhile since we have posted here, because the difficult times with our youngest princess is not over yet
we have some bad news
the treatment at home has been carried out now for about ten weeks, she was getting chemo pils at home sort of after treatment after the treatment she had in the hospital with all the baxters and stuff

The time that we were not on the forum was because we had e very very busy schedule to get everything done here and defenitly not because of your appearence or posting.
i always want people to be straight foward and honnest.
I don't know either of you personally, but after my initial appearance I've thought about you more
than anyone else here. I was quite concerned that since you have not posted in so long that news must be bad.
To read your post made me feel so good. I am (sincerely) happy that things seem to be working out. I hope the
serenity of your vacation brings serenity of the mind. I can't pray but I hope on all things good that things continue
to go well. Take care!
thank you so much for all the kind and supporting words, we are indeed doing better now and yes we will be back here more often.
@ deepfreeze wow man looks like your on a roll with the band great job
It is indeed a very sad day in metal's music history but remember this his sound and music will live on forever.
Rock In Peace RJD
thank's for all the wonderfull music that you gave us
mmmmm all those tasty eggs sure gonna eat some now it's my birthday moehahahahaha
Hi everyone hope everyone is doing fine
for the moment here is everything is going good
xxxxxxx gonna enjoy the kids and the family before i have to go to work
talk to you all later
Thank you for your kind and supporting words, it did me really good to read them during my nightshift and helped me thru the hard hours
Today yolientje has gone back to hospital and they have resumed the treatment with chemo
but she also needed another blood transfusion because it was again falling bellow minimun levels.
hopefully we can continue the treatment because everytime they stop it gives a greater risk that the lukemia cancer can grow again.
let's hope she continues to evolve in the good direction
ps. thanks everybody for the support
we judas fans must stick together no matter what
Sitting here @ work doing the nightshift, had so much trouble with myself that i wanted to write it down,
it is not good news for the moment, the second fase of the treatment was going good untill last friday
when we went back to hospital for her next treatment we received the news that her bloodcells are in a falling state
and that she is getting to weak to continue with the treatment so they had to do a blood transfussion
we then had to wait untill today to check if they could restart the treatment with chemo
but the result were bad even worse than last friday, our daughter has even been put in a higher risk level for infections and germs
we noticed it yesterday when she got spontanious nosebleeds and her color turned totaly pale.
it's getting to be so hard on everybody and aspecialy yolientje,
sitting here with tears running out of my eyes because the suffering of our daughter is getting to be to much
and now this bad news on top is enough to even brake me down.
pls oh pls let her get better because i don't know what i would do if i would lose her
i hope that nobody else will have to go trough this it is a parents hell
i would give my life to make her better, i know we have to get past this but is sooooo hard
First of all, yes budred this is normally a role playing thread that i started to have some fun,
but under the sitution for the moment we used this thread to inform everyone about our situation.
I am not affended with your post everyine has a right on there own oppinion, really no problem
necro, deepfreeze headbanger and everyone thx for the best wishes and the support
i have really good news about our little girl
the first fase has been completed of the chemo therapy
the bonemarrow has gone into remission, the cells that develop the leukemia are gone and the percentage of leukemia is going down
so everything looks good for the moment, the second fase of the treatment with chemo has started and this is a more aggresive one
to kill all leukemia in her system, she has lost a lot af hair now and is really swollen up due to the medication
but we know that once the treatment is completed her hair will grow back and the swelling will go down.
she is a very very strong girl and is doing really good
it has been tough on ellie and me and the other kids but were are holding strong toghether and we will get thru this
love you all

Hi everyone
first of all i want to thank everybody for the kind and supporting words
it really gave us a warm heart and strenght
and i want to wish everybody the best wishes and most of all a good health
The update on our little princess:
yesterday she went to hospital to get another chemo cure treatment
normaly they would only have to insert once a needle to get infuus in the arm
so that they then can connect the baxter for the chemo cure
but because of all the medicens en priks she already received
came her vains so fragile that they had to try 5 times to get a good vain
to get the infuus inthere
on the fith time they succeeded en she could get another cure
the good news is that she still didn't get sick from the chemo
and she is still eating like the best of us
i think she can almost eat a cow a day LOL
here is a song that a listen a lot for our princess
Thank You everybody
@ Deepfreeze you touched my heart M8
Our youngest daughter is putting up a good fight against the leukemia, she is getting treated for the moment,
and alreay she is doing everything possible to help the healing walking around in the room, laughing a lot,
she was even dancing today with ellie. She tries to keep the spirit up as do we
but in a few day she is going to get a new injection in the spine with chemo so that will be another hard one to take
hope she gets by that one like the first one.
The docters gave us some more good news that her marrow is not contaminated mith bad white blood cells of the lukemia
so that should help her recovery, they informed us that the next 5 weeks are going to be very ruff
here is a picture of our sweetheart
love you all and i will keep you informed as we progress
Hi Everyone sorry i didn't have time to post here lately
but it has been tough times on my family because our youngest daughter has been diognosed with leukemia cancer and sh has started the fight against
since yesterday, it has been in and out of the hospitals and changing waches with ellieke to guard over our youngest one
so it will probebly take a while before a post again
greets
Shadowvt
ps. pls everyone enjoy christmas and let's hope for a better 2010

because she doesn't have the same feelings for her friend as she has for me
the feelings for me are much stronger and more loveing,
but to cut off her friendship because she has feelings for this person would not be nice on my part
it would even show lak of confidence in her and we respect eachother 100% so i would not c the problem
ellieke could not be any happier now that i have allowed this friendship and our love has grown to the highest point of our relationship and all because i let ellieke be herself as a person and get totaly in contact with her emotions. as for myself the inner feelings for ellieke have only grown more and more

I love to work on these holidays because then ya get 3 times the pay here in belgium
1 x 100% normal pay
1 x 100% extra pay
1 x 100% in vacation you can plan any day you like
Yes holidays just seem to be the perfect excuse to eat and make yourself miserable!

Try putting on:
Dreamer Deceiver
Deceiver
Beyond the Realms of Death
And then tell me how far up to Heaven you went

Hi everybody i'm Ellieke's husband and i'm 41
I am so glad that i took ellieke to a concert of the priest
moehahahahahaha
now we totaly share the same passion
JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER
hmmm good point best album of priest is very hard to say
but Points of entery made a special impact on me
like the song Heading out on the highway
when i go riding the bike i play this song and is all the way for this
mind put on blank endless highway and this music
what more can you wan't in life
oh and also dessert plains super when riding moehahaha
Manowar is indeed a good metal band
i saw them live in Holland a couple of years ago fucking heavy and loud
i was sepcially impressed when the bass player did the hum of the bumble bee on his bass guitar
that rocked
you have to look and listen to the priest music individualy
because almost everytime they are doing something else trying out new stuff
but in my opinion everytime they succeed to rock
i've been following the music of priest since 1975
and they never stop to amaze me
Played the song uncountable times when my sister died on a road accident
and still every time when i hear this song i think of her.
LOST LOVE - Judas Priest
found out last night while i was listning to it in bed and my wife was sleeping
i looked @ her during this song and i got tears in my eyes because the lyrics
spoke so much thruth about our relationship
Doing good, resting a bit
Got to do 12 hours nightshift later on but i have the new cd from the priest to keep me company [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by lalouve from Monday, November 03, 2008 7:02:23 AM)
