Thanks tons Whiskey Woman and Colley: Best B-Day present was meeting all of you cool cats and partying at the Priest show. Can't wait to do it again. Soon.
Yeah, the reception around Lake Superior is pretty bad so thanks for the wishes before you got there. hahaha
Drive safe and talk soon sweetie. Cheers.

Read and then ignore this remarK: hahahaha I typed this message 3 times before I realized I had to press post.....I am tooooo honest for my own good....hahahahaha. I blame it all on the Priest show.
I was sorry to hear you couldn't make the Priest show in Toronto.....you missed a phenomenal show and time with fantastic peeps. Next time, you can't miss it ok????
Yeah, that storm was something pretty wild. We got hail that ALMOST killed my balcony planters of tomatoes and hot peppers (cuz i like to harvest and cultivate SALSA). It onlly lasted 2 minutes but Mother Nature really left her mark. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by LadyBathory9 from Sunday, July 12, 2009 10:22:19 AM) | | LadyBathory9 wrote: | | HI! Just got home right now....from Toronto that is. hahahaha
Soy, you said it all in a nutshell. Meetinig everyone was phenomenal. I had a fantastic time the whole day. Thanks again to everyone for their hospitality.
A major shout out to Whiskey Woman and Colley, Thanks for EVERYTHING - especially upgrading mine and Tims tickets. My original ticket wasn't that far away from the upgrade, but it was great to rawk out the show with Tim.
I got home safe - after waiting til 1am to get my jacket out of the RV. But no problems.......watched Priest pull out in 5 tour busses and watched 6 equipment big rigs try to maneuver through the parking lot. Quite a spectical to behold.
Yes, we have to all meet up again at the next gig. I had such a great time.
WW and Colley, have a safe trip home and hopefully soon, I can catch a Priest show out your way.
Again everyone, thanks for the great memories.
Oh yeah, ya gotta know the band loves Toronto when they perform the whole encore with Rob draping the Canadian flag on his bike. Whoooo hooooo. |

Ahhhh the time is drawing near and us Priest fans are getting the anticipation factor in gear.
Freekin right on.
As of right now, the CN Tower LUNCH has been ditched by most of us. We are gonna meet for a quick bite before the show and then load up on those beers. BTW Soy, thanx for clearing the situation up for me. I'm such a die hard partier and assumed I was invited. hahahahaha. Yup, this isn't the first time I've misunderstood.
But hey, I look forward to the day with all the Priest fans from here and more buddies that are showing up at the gig. It's gonna be a blast.
WW and Tasnam, (the out of towners) hahaha = we can certainly accomodate entertaining you in Toronto. Maybe we could all meet at a cool restaurant downtown, like maybe the Hard Rock Cafe on Yonge Street. It's an excellent place to throw back a few brews and most definitely cheeper than consuming said beers at Ontario Place where it's guarantteed to cost twice as much. And besides, we can all make faces at Kim Mitchell who works at Q107 and the radio station broadcasts from the front of the Hard Rock. Kim Mitchell, I am certain, will even promo Priest on the radio if we ask him nicely. He's such a cool dude.
So what about that idea?
Just throwing out a suggestion?
I can't wait for this gig. Whoooo hoooooo.

Looks like we have a threesome happening so far......lol ..... hahahaha - (OH GOD I kill myself) hahahaha Must be Saturday morning or something.
We need Marktheshark and Hellrider to jump in here to see what they are doing as well. Hopefully they'll join us.
Soy, I could handle a CN Tower stop over. I think Tim might enjoy a bit of sight seeing on his business trip? Let us know Tim. ???? You can see the city in all it's garbage splendor really well from atop the CN Tower. (We have a garbage strike in full force here forr the last 2 weeks and no sight of a reprieve. YUK.) . AHHHH take a deep breath.
Anyway, I'll be back here on the message board on Monday. I don't have a PC or access to the web while in Toronto, so plan away and I'm fine with whatever you all plan.
See ya when I get back. Chow for now y'all.

I'm in for anything going on. I should be in Toronto at approx 4pm as well. Has anyone made any solid plans yet? Like what bar we will meet up at? Or is that all still up in the air? I'll keep checkin in for updates.
Whhhooooo hooooooo. A party is happening soon. |

|
It's 17 days to showtime......
So are we all gonna meet at the 'bar' in Ontario Place or what? Let's start planning this. Soon????
MarktheShark...there is a bar in Ontario Place right across from the Amph at the top of the hill. There is a new attraction where the bar used to be called Froster Wild Water park. I believe there is a patio there to enjoy a few cold ones. I'm all for meeting everyone there and having a few before the show.

I am so done with this WINTER. ( I think most of us here in Canada have had just about enough, especially after being 'teased' last week with Spring conditions.)
Woke up today to a snow covered city and a minus 12 degree Celcius windchill. Enough alright already, Old Man Winter. Be gone now...to the Southern Hemisphere. |

Yay.....I so look forward to meeting all of you at the show this year. And YOU Soy....well, you can finally buy me that beer you were so eager to buy me the last time I was supposed to go to the show. hahaha
And Lady B......if you really want to go, the really phenomenal seats are sold the day of the show at the box office. I was even able to upgrade a purchased ticket the day of the show when Queensryche opened for Priest in 2005, so if you really want to go, get to the box office at Molson Amphitheatre the day of the show. Trust me, there will be plenty of tickets available.
Come on guys, let's work on our rubber arm bending tactics here. lol The lady needs to see Priest with us. Yeah????

Yeah, it totally sux that AmEx has the 'Front of the Line' presales. I was able to get my friend to use her card and it was an 'early' birthday present as well. I hope there are some great seats available tomorrow though. I can't see too many peeps that have AmEx wanting to go to a Heavy Metal concert, although, I could be very wrong. |
|

Sorry you don't have an AmEx.
I've also got my name in at Rock94.9 (Oshawa) to win tix to the show. They are drawing for the tix on Friday morning. Now, if I should get so lucky to WIN....then I should have a pair to give away. I'll keep you all posted.
Soy and a few others were gonna meet up last time Priest was here but I couldn't make it.....I had to work. That won't be a problem this time though. So I truly look forward to getting together with everyone here.
OOOOHHHHH, I can hardly wait for this gig. Cheers back Mark. |

I won't be able to get to the gig before 7pm (I have to take the GO Train in from Oshawa). But I will keep you all up to date on what I can do, and maybe we can meet between sets? Six - count 'em - 6 freaking days til showtime. Cooommmmeeee onnnnnnnn. (I'm getting just as psyched as Soy......lol)
I almost.....just one phone call away......WON tickets and M&G on the radio this morning. *frigginouffafiggarroonie* They are doing the contest again tomorrow morning and I'll be on the phone again.
You had to guess a 3 song montage they put together. Well the middle song was the stumper. Finally the DJ started taking direct calls on air and he still had to answer around 20 calls before the guy after me guessed the correct song - Revolution. THAT was gonna be my next guess. Gezzzzzzzzz. The other 2 tunes were easy, Another Thing and Living After Midnight.
*SIGH* Keepin my fingers crossed y'all. AND I'm gonna do a crash course on JP tunes today. I'm not getting stumped tomorrow. Yee haaaaa. |

Zep are legends. Agreed, played to death, but still phenomenal. It was the first concert I ever attended waayyy back in 1971 in Toronto during their 'Stairway' tour. I have 2 tattoos - their symbols - etched into my skin. Zozo is on my left upper arm and the 'feather in a circle' is on my left ankle. Never had one ounce of regret for getting them done. My fave album by them is Led Zep III - Since I've Been Loving You is my fave song.

Do you want to do some research on my 'roots' for me, while you're at it? hahahaha
My mother is from Kempten (I think that is near Munich). My grandmother (Rosa Barnsteiner) is from Berlin. My grandfather is from Berlin as well, I think. His last name is Schumacher. I don't know if I'm related to Michael and Ralf. My mother will not tell me very much about my heritage as well - looks like its the current trend with relocated German people to not want to talk about the past.

I am planning a trip to Germany for Oktoberfest in Munich. Maybe next year. Maybe my mom will give up some information before then, so I can contact any relatives. |
