Suzi Quatro is the Queen of Rock and Lita Ford is the Queen of Metal....and there are no others that even come close in my opinion.
Suzi on bass and Lita on guitar are just the best.

TOPIC: MAIDEN OR MOTORHEAD???
[judaspriestlass] Friday, August 01, 2008 7:56:02 PM
Motorhead for me.  True gutsy hardcore metal band.  Saw them liveat mainstreet, Auckland many years ago and it was a memorable gig.   But neither come even close to my love forJP. My second fav band would haveto beAC/DC especially Bon Scott stuff. Hail Bon!!

Ditto that Jo19366, what you say I agree, however I feel that the underlying truth is that advanced ticket sales were poor.  But alas most kiwi's are last minute wonders who buy at the gate or a week before.  Still whatever the real reason for them cancelling, has broken my heart.....do you know how many times I've played the live DVD's?   No band would be as good to see live as JP and even thou I've not seen them live I know it as fact cos I KNOW!!!

To "The Dreamer"  that is the most nicest thing to offer us kiwi's. How generous and a wonderful person you must be. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  However I would more than likely catch the Perth show, but to be honest I don't think I'm gonna be able to get to Australia in the short time I have now to save the money.

Alas I could be destined to never see my Metal Gods except on the TV and print.  That sucks a big fat Kumara!

Anyway Def Leppard anyone?   no comparison as an alternative. :)

CONCERTS BEING CANCELLED!!! JP are not coming to NZ now and that pisses me off.  I'm not blaming them but I am as well, cos they should try harder to get here.  FUCK NZ and our anal laws I'm guessing making it too tuff or something. Whatever logistics and freight issues mean I'M GUTTED AND DISTRESSED.

AND geez wayne EriktheRed....you gotta get help man!!!
The world itself is not evil, and there are plenty of lovely and good people in it.  Look at the boys our Metal Gods....are they ugly and evil???  NOOOOO so take a chill pill and relax to their music to ease your mind and soul of the hatred you have.

Plus I'm TERRIFIED of flying!! so it will be a major.
I bought my NZ tickets on the first day they were selling AND I WANT TO USE THEM.....AAAHHRRRGGGG!!!!

If its because of our anal laws and the arseholes running this country than I understand.

TOPIC: Nostradamus; The downfall of Priest
[judaspriestlass] Sunday, July 13, 2008 7:36:42 PM
Faarrr!!! Downfall is a bit drastic!!!  We all love JP or we wouldn't be here wasting our time and energy reading and posting comments about them and their music.  The Downfall of priest won't happen from an album being good or bad....no no no...not while all us dedicated fans are here to buy the next album and the next!  ...cos you know what.....we all will!!!  And many if not most of us have little people who now cherish JP too....like my 13 year old son who is coming with me to the concert! Yes Yes Yes.

KISS was my first love of Rock n Roll music, dare I say ABBA before them when I was like 8years old...lol.
Kiss my first concert at 13 years old, it was fantastic.
Then at high school at 13, I was introduced to Judas Priest and AC/DC and life was never the same again. They and the following two ladies are my all time favs.
I was huge fan of Queen of Rock SUZI QUATRO and Queen of Noise LITA FORD....YEAH!!!
Krokus Screaming of the night album made big impression and as did Motorhead, Saxon (wheels of steel..choice), the scorpions and Billy Squier.
Never got into the Gunners much (like Slash but just couldn't do the Axel snake belly thing) but did like Def Leppard and some of Van Halen's stuff also.
Over the years with the new stuff other than some songs of Metallica and Motley Crue there's nothing.  I like Puddle of Mud and I like Smashing Pumpkins (but Corgan's ego became overbearin)
BUT NOTHING BEATS THE PRIEST, THEY ARE THE BEST EVER AND FOREVER.

My tattoo is of the symbol on the back of the "Angel of Retribution" album.  Done in solid black on my lower back.  It looks sooo cool. If I can figure out how to post a pic I will.

Jeanine that is truly a lovely story.  Whenever I use to bump into my man over the years there was always some sort of pull but well nothing acted on.  Does you man still have muscle?  1970 GTO wow.  I am a muscle car enthusiast.  We have a 1968 Chevy chevelle and a 1971 Buick skylark.  Both are mint and the chevelle is mean and sports some horse power.  My man's car of choice that we hope to have one day is a 1969 GTO....and we will have get one too.  Thanks for the story. :)
The Monkeys aye....showing your age girl!!! Haha.

TOPIC: NOSTRADAMUS release
[judaspriestlass] Thursday, June 26, 2008 5:28:06 AM
Whether you like this album or not I think we should stop and think about JP for a moment.  I personally think the album taken in it's context of what the boys have attempted to do is brilliantly done, combining all the facets of JP music over the years.

The boys have done a musical piece maybe more so for themselves and their own personal satisfaction rather than creating something for us fans and for a band of their enduring career I think they are entitled too.

They say themselves in the opening blurb how their metal history and Nostradamus share "overcomin difficulties, standing up against those who misunderstand what we believe in and many other virtures that attest to what we do with our music".  This kinda says it all and is akin to why they have chosen this man's story to tell.

Judas Priest are a group of intelligent and highly moralled bunch of guys and to think they are still creating and pumping out such powerful and unrestrained music with clarity is a credit to them.

There will never be another band like Judas Priest and so I for one are thankful for any music they give us and am also thankful for them touring again.

I  thoroughly enjoy listening to NOstradamus.

TOPIC: Because of Judas Priest
[judaspriestlass] Wednesday, June 25, 2008 11:46:04 PM
I've loved Judas Priest since I was thirteen when this boy two years older than me played me "Breakin the Law".  I was hooked and they have been my favourite band to this day.  The boy for some reason use to like playing ME music.

The boy was hot and desired by all the girls and never failed to have a pretty girl on his arm thru his teens and adult life.  We were friends and bumped into each other a couple of times over the years having both lived in the Westside for the most.

Anyway as life would find me single and fancy free at 38, I posted an ad on a dating site and simply had the caption
"Catch the play now, eye to eye, don't let chances pass you by" and to my surprise I got the reply "Always someone at your back, biding their time, for attack".
Well I was truly excited and converstion began about Judas Priest and then moved onto other things.  Over three weeks of emails and no photo exchange, he asked me to the drags.   We hooked up and OMG it was the boy!  The hot boy from my past, the boy whom is now my man!! and is still as hot as ever.  We have found in each other what we could not find in any other mate and it's thanks to Judas Priest bringin us together.

Anyone else got a love story thanks to Judas Priest?
TOPIC: Holland vs Travis
[judaspriestlass] Wednesday, June 25, 2008 4:48:39 AM

General consensus seems to be Travis.  And I'm 100% with that.  Scott is a superior drummer by far.
I love watching him bust out Judas Rising...fantastic!!!

I'm just duely estastic that our Metal Gods have included little ole New Zealand for the first time ever. I've been waiting since I was 13 years old to see them and just can't believe it.    I'm gonna be in the front row if I can.
OMG it's just gonna go off.  I'd been saving up to get to Australia this time round and now don't have to... thank you thank you.  yes! yes!
