Pro-tabs.com has a TON of JP Tabs....Guitar, Bass, Drums...and a good one is Jammit.com they have most of Screaming for Vengence album and Defenders as well.

I have never written a song in my life either...but, it is for ALL levels...beginner to expert. I have written poems before...aren't many songs just poems put to music?
I don't know what s most exciting about the thing...Deep Freeze got to be in a band for a bit and loved it...I always wanted to do that, but never had the chops or time or, dare I say it, the balls, to do it. This camp is giving me that opportunity to do that and much more. I am super excited to be able to meet the guys, but I think even more excited about the opportunity to LEARN from them and all the others.
They say in the brochure that they will give us a link to share with our friends and family so they can stream the performance live. I will post it here for all of you so you can watch. Hopefully I will do you all proud!!

I am hoping that my wife will be taking lots of pics and video! It sounds like it is going to be awesoome! Only drawback is that Glenn won't be able to be there, but all the rest of the band will be!! Plus, Zakk Wylde, Geoff Tate, Lita Ford, Rudy Sarzo, Vinnie Appice, John Moyer, and Phil Soussan! 4 days of being a Rock Star, jamming with the band and all these great musicians!! Writing and Recording a song!! I am extremely excited!!

Well, I am disappointed! A founding member not making the FINAL tour of Judas Priest after being there for everything...last I heard they were working on new material, so there should be some new stuff with KK on it. I hope it isn't a health issue, and if it is, hope he takes care of himself.
As far as the tour goes, I will not miss it.
Gotta feel bad for the new Guitarist though...coming on for 1 tour only...MAYBE they won't stop touring after all?? |

Well my friends, the day has finally come...the announcement of a "Farewell Tour"....that hurts.
Very sad day indeed. I do not know what to think of the timing...would have rather gotten the news after the holiday's, yet as I think about it, now I could ask for all kinds of JP stuff for Christmas that I normally wouldn't get!  |

Okay, the Demon is PISSED!!! I have been waiting for today to arrive so I could buy my VIP PLatinum ticket package for this summer...it took a while before the funds showed up in the account. I checked the ticketmaster site and the package was available in San Antonio...an hour later when my funds were available, the package no longer shows up! UGH!!!!!!!
Nothing for Houston, Dallas is closed out already, and now San Antonio is flaking on me!!!!!
WHY CAN'T I MEET THE BAND?????? I have been trying for YEARS and YEARS!!! This was going to be my one and only shot.! This was to be my B-day present/Father's Day present all rolled into one!
I couldn't buy tickets the day they went on sale because the transmission went out in my car and then the fuel pump went out on the van! (Yes Freeze, my mini-van!)
What did I do in a past life to have this torture thrust upon me????

They showed me that they are much better musicians than people ever gave them credit for though. Don't get me wrong, they have always been great to me, but this is a whole new level of musicianship.

Steve, well said! I could not agree more. The album is what it is and comparisions are a useless waste of energy. MANY bands have done concept albums, this is nothing new. Creative license is just part of being an artist. Not everyone will "get it", nor should they. Apparently, there are a few here that clearly do not.
The previous comments were not about honest, thoughtful consideration of the new album. They were were meant to create discord, plain and simple. I am thankful that so many of our members are intelligent enough to see through such nonsense. It is truly a testament to us as a group.

The complexity of the music shows that Judas Priest are not just Heavy Metal musicians, they are Artists in music!
I new this CD was not going to be like anything they had ever done before, so I listened with an open mind. This could very well be a broadway musical soomeday, and I don't mean that in a durogatory manner. I could actually see this being done as a movie! Like Phantom of the Opera and Sweeny Todd.
This is still heavy. It is a Heavy Metal Opera/Opus!
It's an emotianal rollercoaster!
If you listeded to the leak expecting Screaming for Vengeance, Painkiller, or even Angel, you would be disappointed to an extent. As the conceptual album it is, it is truely amazing! Musically, lyrically, and in it's presentation! |
