I was gonnna post this in Questions For The Band, but that topic is closed.
I have to know....
Is 'Hell Bent For Leather' left out of the whole tour, or was it just not played in San Diego because of what happened last time it was played at SDSU Open Air??? |

Thank You Guys For A Great Show !!!
I was at the Aug. 4 2009 show at SDSU Open Air Theatre.
I traveled 800 miles from Humboldt County CA because I wanted to see you guys at SDSU again.
My first time seeing you was Sun June 15 1980, there at SDSU Open Air. I was 17 years old. It was far short of a full house, but you guys made the best of it. That show was so great, and word got around... JUDAS PRIEST ARE THE METAL GODS!!!
I was kinda pissed when the following year, the crowd outside broke down the fences. I was also kinda tickled at how much your following grew in just one year.
Thank You Guys Again For A Great Show, And Making Me Feel Like I was 17 Again!!!
LOVE YOU GUY!!!

Must have been the Joe Perry Project, there in San Diego.
I would have remembered the others, and the show would have been sold out...

Hello All,
Lisa Samarron here.
Priest fan for more that 30 years now.
I was talking to my boyfreind from way back then (It too cool that we are still friends) He said, "30 year? We're getting old!" NOT!!!!
I can't wait for the Aug. 4 show at SDSU.
My sister already has the tickets. I just have to find my way down there (I now live in Humboldt County, CA. 800 miles from SD)
I have no problem giving my true name here at JudasPriest.com because I am a defender of the faith.
Thank You Boys For A Life Time Of Music

I've been checking out different topics here. It seems that there are a lot of negative people hanging out!!! Why would be???
I don't go to the U2 site. I respect their music, but I don't like it.
I don't go to the Pink Floyd site. I respect their music, but I don't like most of it.
From what I can tell... This is suppose to be a site for the fans. Not anything like a political site, where everyone should have a say in the matter.
If you don't like Judas Priest... I respect that.... Don't listen to them... And don't tell me about it... I got enough of that from my parents...30 years ago! |

The set list That was 30 years, many bottles of Jack Daniels, and many brain cells ago Not to mention, I have seen Judas Priest many time.
I do remember they played Victim of Changes, The Ripper, Sinner, all the main songs from Hell Bent and British Steel. I want to say they did Beyond The Realms Of Death, I'm sure I've seen that one live once.
Maybe Brirose can remember some, he was there too. |

First time I saw Judas Priest was June 15, 1980 at the SDSU Open Air Theater. The British Steel Tour.
The price for the ticket was $8.75
See the topic 'The Original British Steel Tour.. Were You There?' for more details on this awsome show. |

What a trip.. Coming across someone that was at that same show.
Can you believe it's been 30 years???
Do you remember who opened up for Priest?
My sister has already purchased 4 tickets for the Aug show. She got section DD. That show in 1980 I was in section AA.
I now live in Humboldt County, California, which is 800 miles from San Diego. I'm going to do my best to get my butt down there.
Last time I saw Priest was at 4th & B. Scott (The Ripper) was the singer at that time.

This is kinda an off the wall Trivia Question.. But it has a funny punchline.
After their May 25, 1981 show in San Diego... Why was Priest ban from ever playing at SDSU Open Air Theater again??
Punch line is... This August, they will be playing there again.. Never say Never |

As has already been stated... "Only one song?"
Hell Bent For Leather
Metal Gods
Metal Meltdown
Leather Rebel
But for Flower Child, right now, I would guess the song would be Pain Killer.
