I know it sounds sad and I ll probably get told to get off the forum but I agree. The last tour should have KK stood there not some other guy. It s just not gonna be the same without him. After the last tour they could then hire who the hell they liked and carry on. I can;t believe that KK is not gonna be there. Management should ve sorted the problem out instead of just thinking about the money. To: Ian, Rob, Glenn & Scott,
The JP management group and you wankers need to settle this NOW!!!! I am telling you this tour is not going to be a successful one. Like my brother, Tom, said on KK's 'Steel Mill' website blog is "WHO THE FUCK IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STAGE TOUR" NOT THE "EPITAPH TOUR"! Excuse me if I misspell any musician in the next sentence because I am pissed off right now. I don't care if you replaced KK with fucking Eddy Van Halen, Michael Schanker, Joe Santriani, Sammy Hagar, Neal Sean, Toni Iomi, the other Schanker brother and goddam Jesus Christ in his follow robe. I can't believe Scott Travis said that Judas Priest must go on with out KK. Shit, why don't we just bring back Les Binks and tell Scott to take a hike. You saw what happen when Rob left the band. The band and him were in limbo. I was shocked when he said he was leaving JP. Now, KK. This is unbelieveable. I just hope that they are not hiding something more from us than just a management issue here. Please Ian, Rob, Glenn and Scott if you are reading this, put your differences aside and send us fans out with a bang. I don't want to go to a Judas Priest concert especially the last tour of this band and not see KK on the left side of the stage. Correct the Problem!!

They probably will gain new fans with this new guy but I;m with u it won't be the Priest we know. I was just sorta getting used to the farewell tour business but for KK to say he's leaving was like too much to take, specially as he formed the bloody band in the first place!!! I How can it still be Priestt it was bad enough when Bobby left and Ripper came in and yes I m sure he did a good job but it wasn t the Priest I wanted!!! I've also seen every tour with Bobby since 1981 I couldn;t face somebody else singing Bobby's stuff. so I never saw Ripper. I am still going to see em I've got my ticket but I can;t imagine not having KK stood there. As for replacing Glenn it s not just about the guitaring it s about the personality s in the band. I ll tell u this if Bobby leaves again that will be it for me. Also the way the whole thing has been handled is a farce I mean it;s obvious somebody knew something u don't just get a new guitarist like that. I hate to say it but I think they;ve played us all for a set of fools!!! We are going to be seeing a tour which is not what we paid to see a bit underhand if u ask me. What a sad way to end ur career by deceiving the people who put u there in the first place!! If KK s not happy he does right jacking it all in but it;s a sorry state of affairs when the founding member doesn;t feel he can say a proper goodbye to his fans for whatever reason it is a total fiasco, [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by supernaut1968 from Tuesday, April 26, 2011 12:56:06 PM) | | supernaut1968 wrote: | | JD Diamond, I don't know know what type of fan you're referring to, but at this stage in their career, Priest aren't likely to gain many new ones. I've been a fan of Priest since 1979 and seen all of their tours since 1981 onwards (UK tours that is) and while the band have made some errors along the way, I did stick with them.
This latest issue has been handled badly by all sides and given the amount of experience with the group and their management, you'd think they could have done alot better.
Another point I wanted to address was the popularity of KK, whilst we're all going to have different opinions on this, for me, KK summed up all that was great about the band. Foe me, Glenn would be much easier to replace as his playing style could be replicated by any half decent metal player.
As I've already stated, I've followed the band for over 30 years and the Epitaph tour would have been a fitting end to the group, but even this was somehow messed up.
Oh well....

I for one I'm totally gobsmacked that KK has left the band. I'm still going to see em on tour but it won;t feel the same without KK. I've seen Priest live every tour with Bobby since 1981. I didn;t go until Bobby came back I couldn t imagine somebody else singing for Priest. No disrespect to this new guy but the same with him I'm dreading him standing in KK s place on stage. I hope KK comes back but I;ve got a feeling now he;s made his mind up that will be it. It won;t be the same without him I m just totally shocked. |

Just read this
K.K. Downing press release
Dear friends,
It is with much regret that I will not be with you this summer. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your concerns about my health. Please rest assured that I am O.K.
There has been an ongoing breakdown in working relationship between myself, elements of the band, and the band's management for some time.
Therefore I have decided to step down rather than to tour with negative sentiments as I feel that this would be a deception to you, our cherished fans.
However I would urge you to please support the Priest as I have no doubt that it will be a show not to be missed.
All my love and respect,
on KK's steel mill site thought u might all want to see it. Can't believe he has left. |

Rob Halford To Release Christmas Album
terrybezer / News / 10/09/2009 12:40pm
The Judas Priest frontman is about to get festive on our asses. It couldn’t be any more ludicrous than Twisted Sister’s efforts, could it?
Metal God and Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford has confirmed that he will be releasing his first solo outing in over seven years this yuletide and it will feature reworkings of ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘Oh Holy Night’. He can’t top Cartman’s rendition of the latter, surely?
The album will be titled ‘Halford III – Winter Songs’ and will also include original tracks ‘Get Into The Spirit’, ‘When Christmas Comes For Everyone’, ‘Light Of The World’.
‘Halford III – Winter Songs’ sees release on October 26.

I disagree that this thread should not be allowed. For one thing I don't think Priest do visit this site and for another if somebody doesn't like something why shouldn't they be able to say that? They are only voicing their opinion! So what your saying is if we don't like the album we shouldn't bother saying anything? Well I disagree I mean everybody is entitled to their opinion. I think saying the album is the downfall of Priest is a bit harsh but if you don;t like the album or have something negative to say about it then you should be allowed to say it! There are far too many fan boys prepared to just clap like a set of seals and go..........Oh Priest wonderful well sorry I don't think so! I don't think it's being disrespectful to say you don;t like the album if you don;t think it;s any good you should be just as entitled to say it as if you thought it was fantastic..........It;s called free speech!
