That's too funny, how could anyone not like Rob Halford's stage presence? I like a lot of different bands and don't get too caught up in wheather their thrash or whatever style they are. If I like what I hear then it doesn't matter what genre they are. The first Metallica song I heard was "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and thouoght it was amazing. Never got to see them but I still think they are an amazing metal band. Probably shouldn't have called Hammerfall cheesy because I haven't listened to enough of their music. Roths is any better?lol
Anyways,to rank Hammerfall over Iron Maiden would be unthinkable to Hammerfall's vocalist Joacim Cans and guitarist Oscar Dronjak...they would say no way...these guys appologized to Accept for the fact one tour Hammerfall headlined over Accept as they said it should of been the other way around....but to me they are #3 but OLD (1980-1984) Iron Maiden I rank #4 best heavy metal band all time. Its just an opinion.
The fact I rate Hammerfall #3 bothers many,I'm sure. They aren't flawless...they have a couple tunes that are under par like every band does.

Iron Maiden? I'd say the Killers lp Hammerfall has not beat yet....but the rest of Maidens lps HF rivals and beats big time.

That's a pretty bold statement putting them in 3rd place among heavy metal bands. I listened to some of the Hammerfall videos you posted and in a way they are kind of cheesy like Manowar but that's ok. More power to you though in your evaluation. I'll have to listen to more Saxon to comment on them. There are so many great heavy metal bands and yes Judas Priest is right up there with the best of them. |

Especially when Aikman hit Alvin Harper on a slant and took it all the way down to the 10 and that broke the Niners. Maybe my favorite Cowboy game. I think the niners caught a bad break there at the end, that should of been a interference call against the Ravens. Niners probably would have scored and won the game. Although I'm a huge Cowboys fan and have always disliked(Hated) the niners because of Joe Montana and the catch, I wanted them to win last night. Joe Montana is probably the best qb to ever play the game though. Much better than Tom Brady in my opinion. Yeah I admit it, Montana is better than Troy Aikman. |

Pittsburgh Stanley Theatre (1981)
Ozzy Osbourne and Def Leppard. There may have been a third band but I honestly can't remember.
Ozzy was stoned as usual and didn't sound fantastic but it was a good show. I didn't know anything about Randy Rhoads
so I'm not going to say how great he was but I do remember thinking this guy is pretty good. I had tickets to see them the
following summer but of course that never happened.

I bought two of the delux copies (I think that's what they were called, something like that ) and was pretty disappointed. Easy rock about sums it up with a couple of heavy songs. Hope the next one is better if it happens. I don't think the Nostradamus album was successful enough for a tour, I may be wrong though.

Coke Classic in a plastic bottle is great if it is ice cold, like right out of the top of the fridge. I hate those you get at a convenience store, it's probably going to be luke
warm and it pretty nasty. Just saying. Enjoy your coke. |
