ATTENTION PRIEST FANS!!!
You MUST check Glenn"s Epitath Tour Diary. On the entry for 15/11/2011-St. Charles & Hammond Glenn writes:" there is talk of a second US leg though so all's not lost". Here you have it folks, straight from the horse's mouth!! .
The East Coast has been largely unrepresented in this tour. No shows in DC, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Minnesota, and on and on and on....
Not a proper LA show or an MSG ( don't think they're banned anymore) show?
So here's the deal for all you Priest Metalhead: let the guys' management and promoters know we want MORE PRIEST. Write here! Send your messages in the "contact the band" section! talk to your friends! write something in your local paper! Post something on Facebook or use Twitter! For God's sake do something!!
Let's get Priest back here in the States in 2012 with a whole new setlist too- wooohooo!!!
You think I'll let it go you're mad
We want more Judas Priest comin'

Well Mr Tipton..... YES PLEASE!!!
Me and my buddies here in North Carolina ( as well as all your fans here in the East Coast) will be waitin for you guys ( can't wait to see you on Nov 27 in Winston-Salem , NC).
PS: If ( or when ) you come back please go wild on the set list and play all the rare classics and hidden gems that your long-time true fans long to hear.

turbo is a giant ball of steaming ,smelly sh*t !!!!
Thank God the guys realized what a giant f*ck-up they had done and tried to correct it with a lot heavier RAM IT DOWN and then with the masterpiece PAINKILLER.
Go ahead ,compare turbo to gems like SAD WINGS, BRITISH STEEL or PAINKILLER.
turbo was to Priest what Dynasty was to KISS, a complete sellout which real long time fans would rather forget.
I' m your turbo lover
I sold out over and over
PLEASE, NEVER AGAIN!!! |

Hi guys, Question: I will see you on your NOV 27 GIG IN WINSTON-SALEM NC. I would like to know if I hang out at the exit after the concert if it is possible if you guys would sign my PAINKILLER concert poster I bought from your show in Rome 1990? It cost me an arm and a leg but it's a wonderful poster and would look even better if you guys signed it before I get it framed. Please if you have a minute let me know. I won't mind freezing my ass off if there is really a chance you guys will sign it. Much much thanks, gracias, grazie..... |

PLEASE, PLEASE play THE RIPPER. He's an old friend and we would like to say goodbye to him one more time. He has been with you guys since 1975 and it's not fair we don't get to give him a proper farewell.
So , for your WINSTON-SALEM NC NOV 27 GIG your set list must include:
1-RUN OF THE MILL
2-THE RIPPER
3-FREEWHEEL BURNING
4-GENOCIDE AND/OR TYRANT
5 ROCKA ROLLA
8-HELL PATROL
7- ALL GUNS BLAZING
8-THE RAGE
9-SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE
10-CALL FOR THE PRIEST
YES, I know this is just wishful thinking, you haven't changed the set list in over 50 concerts already but there's nothing wrong with dreaming. Just playing one song from the above list would make your real fans happy and would make the concert a one-of -a -kind event. Think about it, my son (13) and I will be on the 4th row enjoying whatever you guys choose to play but it would make our night if you would only play... ( see list above).....

I got my tickets as soon as they went on sale for the Winston-Salem show and got 4th row-center tickets. The tix were like 80 bucks. I would have bought tix on the first 3 rows but they were more expensive ($125) and there had been no announcement that those 3 rows would be more expensive so I didn't have enough money ready. Had it been announced I would have gone for them. Anyway, there are still tix availailable and there are really no "bad" seats in the Lawrence Joel Coliseum. If you are in NC, SC or Virginia don't hesitate to buy your tix and come over. It is a small, nice coliseum with good view from every seat and the prices are reasonable for more than 2 hours of metal from Priest plus you get to see Scott Gorham ( Thin Lizzy), another guitar great from the golden days of ROCK. |

Come on!! How about a little FREEWHEEL BURNING? A TYRANT/GENOCIDE combo ? HELL PATROL? A touch of ALL GUNS BLAZING ? SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE? A bit of ROCKA ROLLA perhaps? A visit from THE RIPPER ? A sprinkle of WHITE HEAT/RED HOT or maybe some DELIVERING THE GOODS? Pick one from EXCITER, SINNER or RUNNING WILD? How about blowing your long-time fans mind with a little RUN OF THE MILL? Are RIDING ON THE WIND or GRINDER ok? How about we CALL FOR THE PRIEST so he can revive the current set list that has stayed the same for 52 concerts already?
Of course the band has to play all the classics that the fans expect but songs like TURBO LOVER (yeach!), THE SENTINEL, BLOOD RED SKIES, STARBREAKER and even DIAMONDS & RUST & HEADING OUT TO THE HIGHWAY can easily be substituted by any of the songs listed above.
THINK!!!!

Hell of a list TREE! I would love:
RUN OF THE MILL( Please blow your true long-time fans mind with this one)
ALL GUNS BLAZING
TYRANT
GENOCIDE
ROCKA ROLLA ( at least a few riffs then you can go to the drum intro of Living After Midnite)
THE RIPPER
FREEWHEEL BURNING ( one of the coolest videos of the 80's)
SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE ( these 2 songs would be awesome with a real drummer like Scott)
Come on guys, you haven't changed a single song since the tour started. Take a couple days of your break to rehearse these songs. You won't be sorry and your fans won't be either.

By all acounts, the press- the fans & my brother who was there, the PRIEST concert last night in Costa Rica is considered one of the best EVER in Costa Rica. Who has played in Costa Rica?: IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE, METALLICA, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, AEROSMITH, PEARL JAM , STING, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, ELP....
The band's 2 hour 20 minute was wildly cheered by the 18000 metal maniacs that showed up at the ESTADIO NACIONAL.
Thank you JUDAS PRIEST for playing in my country of origin, you have no idea ( or maybe you do) what it means to all the heavy metal fans that live in our peaceful little country.
JUDAS PRIEST= PURA VIDA!!!
PS: I'll see you guys in Winston-Salem on Thanksgiving Sunday so you can blow me away too!!

I loved reading Glenn's EPITATH TOUR DIARY. However they have already played 7 of their 12 gig South America Tour and not a single note from Glenn. I am really interested in what he has to say when he plays in Costa Rica (my native country).
SO COME ON TIPTON, GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTT AND ADD SOME MORE ENTRIES IN YOUR DIARY!!!
Note: We are counting the days here for your concert in Winston-Salem on Thanksgiving Sunday.

ARE YOU COMING BACK TO THE USA IN 2012 ???
This is the question thousands of Priest fans in the EAST COAST are asking. You played Texas and Canada silly but when it came to this part of the country ( the most populated ) you cut it way too short. So the question is are you coming back to "finish off" the USA in 2012 ( maybe after the Japan tour)?
Please let the thousands of fans you have all over the East Coast know. I have my 4th row tix for your Winston-Salem Nov concert but I know there are people in New England, Maryland, DC, Virginia, North & South Carolina and Georgia still waiting for you guys.
Please let us know, just drop us a line and answer the question:
ARE YOU COMING BACK TO THE USA IN 2012???

You know you guys didn't play THE RIPPER in your European tour and I kind of think us fans in America would like to give our old, old friend The Rip a proper farewell.
So FREEWHEEL BURNING & THE RIPPER would be great addition for the USA tour.
Note: Don't forget to play RUN OF THE MILL on your WINSTON-SALEM, NC gig, you guy have 2 days off before this concert ( and 2 days off after it) so you could sneak in a little rehearsal and get the song down- after all it's only 37 years ago that you laid it down on the fantastic ROCKA ROLLA lp.
YOU'RE IN FOR A SURPRISE

Remember:
1- For the USA TOUR: FREEWHEEL BURNING
2- For the WINSTON -SALEM NC GIG: RUN OF THE MILL. I got my 4th row tickets today and I'll be waitin for this once-in-a -lifetime event. I can imagine Rob saying:" well, tonight we are going to play something different, a hidden gem from the 1st album, a crazy fan has been requesting this on our webste, so here it is, for that crazy old geezer, RUN OF THE MILL".
Note: For all you younger fans go ahead and look for the ROCKA ROLLA album and listen to this incredible song and then tell me if I'm not right.

Yes . The 1st time I saw them was in Charlotte NC for the RAM IT DOWN tour, a great night. The 2nd was at the Alltel Pavilion in Raleigh NC on the OPERATION ROCK & ROLL tour in 1991. I had good seats , maybe 10-12th row, and after Alice Cooper gave us a hell of an opening show the PRIEST came out and blew everybody away. It is definitely one of the best concerts I ever been to. It was hot as hell and the audience was wild, drinking beer and taking their clothes off, and the boys were playing like madmen, The last time I saw them was again in the same place in Raleigh as part of OZZFEST 2004. They played a great show " opening" for BLACK SABBATH....but...after that...nothing.
They never came near for the ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION or NOSTRADAMUS or the BRITISH STEEL ANNIVERSARY TOUR.
SO yeah, I'm super happy with my 4th row tix and will keep hoping that they schedule some more shows maybe in Charlotte, Virginia. South Carolina or somewhere close so I can go see them again.
ISN'T IT STRANGE THAT THEY HAVEN'T SCHEDULED ANY CONCERTS IN HUGE CITIES LIKE BOSTON, CHARLOTTE, ATLANTA, DC, ETC WHILE THEY HAVE A BUNCH OF SHOWS IN CANADA & TEXAS ???? MAYBE THERE WILL BE A SECOND USA TOUR LEG?? ANYBODY KNOW?? LET'S HOPE.

I just wanted to thank you guys so much for scheduling the concert in WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA on THANXSGIVING WEEKEND. I was so worried because for many days there were only the Miami & NY/NJ concerts for the WHOLE EAST COAST!! I kept writing asking for more gigs on this side of the USA and you answered back with a gig literally in my backyard. I'll be there with my 12 year old son so he can learn what Judas Priest Style heavy Metal is. Again a giant....
THANKS!!! |

For the USA tour just a suggestion: switch The Sentinel ( great song but more "European") for FREEWHEEL BURNING. Out here in the US we are more about cars and highways and speeding and burning rubber so FREEWHEEL will be a perfect fit.
SO GET DOWN HERE TO THE USA AT BREAKNECK SPEED AND WITH HIGH OCTANE... LET'S SPIT SOME FLAMES!!!
FREEWHEEL BURNING. FREEWHEEL BURNING |

Thanks again SPADAD for all the info. I was going to lose my mind looking for the presale to the WS show! Hopefully " no presale" should mean if you buy the tickets just when they come out you should get really good seats. First people to buy( buying the $89 tix) could get front row seats? Wow, you never see that anymore. By the way, Ticketmonster DOES rip you off but not as much as the other scalpers. |

Ok dudes, this is your chance to make an old geezer happy!! You will play in Winston-Salem Coliseum , North Carolina on Sunday, Nov 27. If you could find it in your hearts to play RUN OF THE MILL from Rocka Rolla I could die happy. This is the BEST Priest song that I believe you guys have never played live. I can't find a version of it even in the earliest tapes from 75 on. What could make this show more memorable than playing RUN OF THE MILL??
As I quoted before: "What have you achieved now you're old?"-Well. come down here and show us!!! |

When (if) you guys get down to The Carolinas please play RUN OF THE MILL. This gem is hands-down the best song on the album and one of Priest best ever. I know you guys are trying to play at least 1 song from each album and One For The Road is a great song but RUN OF THE MILL is the sh*t. The lyrics, guitars and overall tone easily shows that the Priest doesn't have to play at 100mph all the time to be the heaviest band ever.
Hey Guys: " What have you achieved now that you are old?........Come down and show us!!! |

Thank you Longshaor for understanding my question. Sure writing "travel" is easy but right now the 2 closest shows are IZOD ( a14 hour round trip) and Florida ( a 22 hour round trip). It just seems weird to me that after playing a bunch of shows in Texas & Canada the Priest would not tour the East Coast except NY/NJ & FL. One of the besy concerts I've ever seen was the Priest in Raleigh, NC in1991 where the band was wild and the audience was one of the wildest I've ever seen ( and I've seen a lot). No concerts in DC? Atlanta? the Carolinas?Virginia?. I am hoping the band will announce the East Coast leg soon. Maybe they will take an x-mass break and then come back. If not then maybe I will " travel" to the IZOD show if tix are ever available ( there is a rumor that the ticket hawks already have hoarded most of them). I've been lucky enough to see the Priest 3 times but I would love to catch them one more time. |

come back and do the east coast later??? If that is so PLEASE let us know now so we don't lose our minds waiting for a gig that is reachable. The East Coast of the USA is much ,much more than just NY and FL. LET US KNOW NOW PLEASE |
