I always thought Starbreaker was a Sci-Fi idea too,like a mystical being character or something of the sort....that shadow-shape-person on the left of the album I always thought was either the Starbreaker or the Sinner when I was 11 years old in 1981 when I bought the LP ha!
It's about fate interceding told in a grand way in my opinion. I love the lyrics, and no doubt they did feel like it only comes once a lifetime.

Bear in mind I am a very literal person, I don't read undertones very well, but in saying that I find it very hard on reading the lyrics to pick up any gay undertone. Just cos Rob is gay doesn't mean every crazy Priest song is about gay stuff LOL.
