You know I had an experience when I was a kid with a ferry, might have been Norfolk don't remember, but the weather was awful and the seas too choppy on the ferry and we ended up staying on a small island with not enough hotels for all the people stranded there that night. My family was one of the unfortunate ones who did not get shelter. Spent the night cold, covered in sea salt from the mist on the boat and I think It was about the most misserable night I had in my short night. LOL
