TOPIC: Nostradamus; The downfall of Priest
[guidogodoy] Monday, October 20, 2008 11:40:32 PM
Following up on my bud Hellrider's note, I hope I am NOT labeled a "Priest Nazi" just because I can honestly say that I love this album. So much so that I bought it twice. Super duper deluxe and deluxe. Do I think you or anyone else isn't a "true" Priest fan for not liking it? Hell no. To each his own. ANY Priest fan, be it their past, present or (hopefully) future music is a fan. Plain and simple. Like saying you aren't a Rob Halford fan if you don't like Two (never heard it, myself). Not a Priest fan if you didn't like the Ripper era (HATED it myself). A "traitor" to Priest if you like Halford. Of course, it is absurd. I am a much bigger fan of Halford than Fight. Does it make me any less a Priest fan that I long for the days when Halford (band) played live? I certainly hope not. Although it might (heh) not be physically possible I actually hope to hear new Halford AND Priest music.

All in all, I undertand why those who don't like the album don't like it. I am not one of them. Still, I have little doubt that a full tour playing ALL Nostra would be an absolute disaster. Play a few select venues, though, and I'll be there front and center.
