I HEAR YOU...I KNOW THESE BANDS WANT TO RAKE IN AS MUCH CASH AS THEY CAN,BUT MAN WOULD I LOVE TO CATCH PRIEST IN A SMALLER CLUB-LIKE VENUE BEFORE THEY RETIRE...FOR
EXAMPLE I JUST SAW HELLOWEEN & GAMMA RAY IN MONTREAL AT A CLUB THAT HELD ABOUT
1300 I FIGURE AND IT WAS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE,NO MATTER WHERE YOU WERE YOU FELT REALLY CLOSE TO THE STAGE...SAME WITH MOTORHEAD A FEW DAYS BEFORE AT ANOTHER CLUB IN MONTREAL,ABOUT 2000 THERE,BUT AGAIN MUCH MORE INTIMATE AND A BETTER PARTY ATMOSPHERE. i was wondering too how ticket sales affect later possible tours. I know the 2 shows i saw here in Australia didnt sell very high, but the gigs were amazing, the atmosphere was great. So does i band like priest feel the love from the audience and think that will suffice for a good reason to tour again or do they look at the numbers and go.. well maybe its not worth it. i think It comes down to doing it for the fans or doing it for the money, but obviously they have to at least break even for costs.. so why do that when they know they can tour America or europe and make more money / profit.
I wonder why it took them so long to bring their show down here to Australia... ? same with a few other bands that have toured recently. Edited at: Monday, September 29, 2008 8:24:16 PM
