I feel JP could have trimmed some of the slow intros and made this into a 'trimmed down' 1 disk cd to keep the total cd tempo up and have as good or better product to enjoy. This isn't my favorite JP cd but I really appreciate and like some of the songs. it's my opinion that Priest would have been better served to have brought in a top producer to add a quality 'outside imput' and guide the cd to more success. If you notice Priest had Tom Allmon, Chris Tsangarides(Painkiller-last sucessful JP cd) and then went down and ultimately away from a quality outside producer. KK and Glenn are good but I think they got too 'tunnel vision' and miss important opportunities because they wanted to save money.
Motley Crue had Bob Rock on their latest cd and it's doing well, Metalica has always used a quality producer and their success speaks for itself. A quality "outside"producer isn't everything but sure helps. Lack of radio airplay has always been a killer for priest tunes! Edited at: Tuesday, July 15, 2008 1:33:48 PM
