Wow, a new "War of Words"!! Let the fight begin!!
Ohpsy, we're in the middle of the battle!!

Hmm... Sydney, Australia!! I think you can find other musicians there
'Cause it's not a small village!! Have find them here in Hannover but
without the help of the noticeboard!! Hmm... "G&R"... I like to take a listen to "Appetite for destruction" when am doing my housework, especially to do the dishes!!
[Deep Freeze] Thursday, February 11, 2010 4:34:13 PM

I should think this is an "open and shut" case of Cyber-Bullying and "Abuse". After reporting this, hiring a lawyer and seeking emotional distress damages, I would think your next course of action would be to leave and never come back. THAT would REALLY show us!!

Perhaps start your very own website with your own "extreme" band and cool headbands and raspy vocals and not allow ANYONE over thirty to join!! Then you could create Thread after Thread about how great you sing and what band names you can come up with and how you sound like every major Metal vocalist ever heard!!!

Don't wait. Do it now! Pathetic, old, incomplete losers are simply ruining your life! Oh, I am sure RHR would love to join... he's just being "quite".

LOL! Just to mention "G&R" is a fuckin joke that you are dude, nothing they do is fucking "extreme" and your too stupid to realize it! Your a little fuckin poser that creates too many threads, its cluttering up this forum with your egotistical blabber, and your "this is a public forum" cries are pathetic, who the fuck are you too question veteran members here like Freeze and myself anyways ya little whining poser??

You want to report abuse go right ahead,Murry bans my post so be it,I don't give a fuck about that or anything you say for that matter,it all falls to the way side and you tell Freaky Metal Head to grow up? He is having fun,the other shit he does is another story so why don't you report the big bad wolf to the webmaster and tell him how you are being bullied,......fuckin drama from little kids in here, and I thrive on an argument,I love to argue so there is a difference between questioning someone's integrity and needing to grow the fuck up and I'm sure you won't be able to sort the two of them out.

oh yeah I almost forgot..........Go fuck yourself.

[Screamin' Demon] Thursday, February 11, 2010 3:19:37 PM
Right, You Could Be Mine was a bad example. I'm talkin' about their songs like Perfect Crime, Right Next Door To Hell, Garden Of Eden, Double Talkin' Jive, Shotgun Blues. So yes, Guns N' Roses had an extreme side to rock, even though it wasn't all they were about. And to conclude, if someone your own age did this same thing, gut instinct tells me you'd be handling it differently. I don't get butthurt, I just don't sit there and take people's shit. The root of the problem here is that you've resorted to publically slurring people. Freaky Metal Head...grow up will ya. And to any other moron wishing to partake in making public slurs, just shut the fuck up.  The whole lot of you, JD, Freeze, FMH and anyone else....shut up and quit makin' unsavoury comments towards me. If anyone continues now after I've asked them to quit it, abuse will be reported. DROP IT! Understand English?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. OOOOKAAAAYYYYY...Couple of things here; First, real bright move on your part RHR. Your second post here (under your new alias) and you are already looking to start a fight? Not the brightest bulb, are you? Of course you see nothing wrong with this Thread. There is nothing "wrong" with it, in as far as it is a Thread. Perhaps you are not as "new" as you appear?

Look SD, this has nothing to do with your age. Apparently,  you share some mental traits with your new cohort here? In all the time you have been here, how many Threads have you created? Seriously? I have lost count. Is it your right to create whatever you wish? Sure. Is it your right to say whatever you want? Of course.  Is it really necessary to create Thread after Thread?? No. You have asked one idiotic question after another, made comments that are inane and generally made a fool of yourself over and over. NO ONE has badgered you, derided you or made you feel like anything less than what you are.

You created this Thread, ostensibly, to find musicians in Sydney. When I pointed out that you could not possibly accomplish that here and explained why, you back tracked and said you did not mean it and were not ready anyway. When I offered you sound advice to actually get results for your (alleged) desire to start a band, you made excuses. NOW you claim to be a poor, misunderstood "kid" (of 23) that has a bunch of "pathetic" old men teasing you because you were "being silly". Pathetic, indeed.

If you feel you are being "talked down to", perhaps you should examine what it is YOU said and what the responses were? Incomplete and miserable?? I certainly didn't make the statements you made. I simply called you out on your obvious charade. You no more intended to start a band with this Thread than I get "highs" by belittling people! You created this to make ANOTHER stupid comment about yourself. You have managed to do that with startling regularity. Clearly you must be used to having people speak to you in this manner? You cannot possibly be like this ONLY when you are on this site.

No one doubts that you wish to sing in a band. What is in doubt is your credibility and THAT is all on you, young man. Poor, little boy that is getting picked on by the big, mean adults.. PLEASE. You are at least smarter than THAT... and that makes you TWICE as bright as your new friend.

Just ignore them. There is nothing wrong with this thread you created. I'm not sure what their problem is but just ignore them. I mean if someone can create a thread about their radio show and another post stuff about his band all over this website then why can't you create a thread about your band. No reason that I can think of. Good luck with the band.

Don't post crap then. If you want to start a band go and do it. How the hell do you expect to find people to play in your band in Australia when the majority of members on this site live in the U.S? All you have to do is take a piece of paper and write on it  "Guitarist, Bassist and Drummer required to form heavy rock band. Influences include Guns N' Roses, Judas Priest, Skid Row. Call Screamin' Demon 12345678" stick it up in the music store, record store, supermarket, bottle store, everywhere, then wait for calls. It's easy. Also if you think you're in the same league as Axl Rose, Rob Halford or Seb Bach I would love to hear you. Please post a video.

You know, you guys seem quite pathetic. What, a bunch of middle aged people slandering and ridiculing a 23 year old just because he's a bit wet behind the ears and wrote something silly? I mean, does it make you feel big and powerful? Did you get your highs by taking the opportunity to belittle someone way younger than you? It just goes to show how incomplete, pathetic and miserable some people on this board are to have to resort to talking down on innocent younger people so they can feel a sense of power and control.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Wednesday, February 10, 2010 7:24:18 AM)

Yes, jj. It does. And that is really why I commented in the first place. The "topic" asks for musicians and yet , he has absolutely NO sincere desire or possibility of locating any here on THIS Board and admits as much. Just ANOTHER stupid Thread by the king of waste.  A chance to watch himself type, I guess? I no more believe he is a singer than I am Ben Affleck.

For those that are serious about singing and finding a band, I hardly think that announcing, "I have a band name" is high on the list of accompishments. Well, my MOM thinks I sound like Axl Rose and my girlfriend said I have a cool headband so I must be a singer... Good lord. The bottom line here is, there are many, MANY ways to find musicians and actually DO this. REAL methods that will produce results and not end up as yet  ANOTHER Thread where a there are a multitude of claims and a scarcity of facts. I mean, seriously! Painkiller?!?!?!?? I have actually recorded Painkiller and posted it here! It is more than a "bitch" to sing and I have been doing this for YEARS. It is incredibly difficult and my rendition is NOT very good at all.

I suppose if one is standing in one's bedroom, singing to a mirror with posters of bands on the walls and a hairbrush for a microphone, ANY song is "easy"......?

Yes, so I have noticed. Look, you are a regular member here and , as such, you deserve respect regardless of my personal feelings of you. I would love to "PM" you but we are not "friends" here and I cannot do so since your Inbox is blocked.

There are a few of us here that use this place to promote our music. That's fine. It is a wonderful source of exposure for those of us that actually do play. I encourage you to look for ANY way you can to get yourself out in the music world. It is almost always free to have someone that really matters listen to you. It has also been my experience that vocalists are rare and usually get snapped up right away, provided they are able to really sing. In fact, there are many that are NOT very good and THEY get picked up, too! I tell you no lie when I say that I put an ad on Craig'sList here and had FIVE responses in less than 30 minutes. Over the course of a week, I had many more AND several auditions. Each time I went to an audition, they had mics, PAs and recording equipment waiting there when I arrived. I did not need to "buy" anything... not even my own microphone! I chose a band in one week and I am not really all that great!!

There are many, easy ways to get going. I promise you.

That sounds just about right. Well in posting something on this board, of course I wouldn't -expect- any results from it. It is just something I thought I'd do while doing other things in the mean time. I'll take a look at the things you suggested as well as maybe check out a couple of music stores here that I know who do the same kinda stuff with ads. Anyways, if you have any additional useful info with the whole contacts thing, that would be great. I won't lie to ya....this is about the first step I've taken on this but hey, once I get going on things I don't stop.

And in all honesty, I get that. The problem is, Craig'sList is FREE. There is nothing to lose. It puts you in contact with people that DO have the resources you described and THAT is what you want, isn't it?? To find musicians that are looking to make music and are thinking as you do?

How many of your countrymen are actually on this Board, man? Seriously? A half dozen?? Maybe?? You know that. Posting an entire Thread HERE, claiming to be interested in forming a band IN Australia is a joke. There is no one here to respond! You certainly are smart enough to know THAT. The point is, you do not appear to be serious. You appear to be someone that would like to TALK about what you claim you can do rather than do it. (Notice I said appear).

If you are truly capable of doing all the things you say, do it. It will cost you nothing but time. There are sites (I am happy to provide links) that are also FREE wherein you can "put yourself out there" and start making REAL contacts. Having a few friends and family tell you you can sing is useless. Watch ONE episode of "American Idol" to verify that. If you are serious, there are ways to make it happen that will actually  yield results. This Board will not accomplish that.

I wouldn't say that I'm anything of a greatest vocalist in the world or anything as such.  I don't consider the Painkiller album such a bitch to sing besides maybe Leather Rebel and All Guns Blazing. At the moment, I am not taking everything full on because all my money is going towards something else that I have been working  on so for now I haven't got the funds to be putting up ads,  buying recording equipment and programs for it and such. My long time goal IS to precisely do what you said, to put up newspaper ads and make demo tapes, but that will take place around October at earliest when I have money to do so. So rather than doing nothing for now, I thought that this was somewhat of a wiser decision. And since not having any way to record myself etc etc, I simply described myself from what people who have heard me have typically mentioned. It's not any kind of self-rating, but the best possible description based on others' feedback. Of course, there's ads in newspaper to look at as you may have suggested but  I don't want to join another existing band. Instead, I want to start fresh, to find players one by one, each time making sure  that I've found someone who shares the same musical direction as me.

[Deep Freeze] Tuesday, February 09, 2010 10:07:20 AM

As much as I absolutely detest responding to you in yet another of your moronic Threads, perhaps I can help you in this case?  You see, it is one thing to suggest you are the next greatest vocalist the world has ever heard and quite another to actually be it. In all my years in music, I have yet to meet anyone that is capable of singing Painkiller with "no problem", but I digress.

First, if you are so incredibly talented it would follow that you would make a demo of some kind rather than drone on about your abilities. In this way , you can offer your "sound" to the right people and let them decide who it is you sound like and what, if anything, you can offer a band.

Next, I am not familiar with Australia but here in the States, we have something called "CraigsList". While I readily admit that we here in America are great innovators, I hardly believe we are the only country to have such a service. Surely there has to be something similar where you live? All you need to do is place an ad as a "singer" and you should get responses from others. If you place the ad properly, you can narrow your responses to those that are of a like musical influence. Of course, this brings us back to the demo. I have never heard of ANY (serious) band that is willing to hire or join someone based on what they say they can do or the clothes they wear. You will need to prove it. A demo is the easiest way to accomplish this.

Coming to this Board and advertising yourself as Rob-reincarnated might make for a bit of fun but it is likely not going to do you a lot of good IF you are a serious musician and not some kid that thinks entirely too much of himself. I do, however, wish you the very best of luck as I would love to hear what you really can do. I mean that in all sincerity.

I'll do this in a rather unusual way. I'm trying to form a really extreme hard rock band. I am a vocalist, with vocal influences from Rob Halford, Axl Rose & Billy Idol, primarily. I sing with a really strong rasp, and screechy or heavily raspy as well if I am screamind, I can sing most of Judas Priest Painkiller without a problem. My genre of music is hard rock but the extreme side of it. Song examples include Gn'R songs such as Double Talkin' Jive, Perfect Crime, You Could Be Mine & Don't Damn Me, Skid Row songs like Slave To The Grind, Get The Fuck Out, The Threat and Livin' On A Chaingang, as well as Motorhead songs like Ace Of Spades, Burner and Rock Out. I currently have a guitarist but willing to replace him as he hardly puts in any time to jam, and all others like a second guitarist, bassist & drummer are also needed. I have a great band name already in mind as well as several sets of already-written song lyrics as testament to my style of music. If there are any instrument players in Sydney who are interested in such an act, please reply to this. I'm after a lead guitarists with a bluesy but aggressive style (no dark metal stuff), a rhythm guitarist with a huge chop behind his rhythm to add ballsiness to the tune, a bassist that plays a guitar along the lines of fender bass, and a drummer that is explosive and can occasionally throw in a double bass as a flare, rather than general rhythm.
