I should think this is an "open and shut" case of Cyber-Bullying and "Abuse". After reporting this, hiring a lawyer and seeking emotional distress damages, I would think your next course of action would be to leave and never come back. THAT would REALLY show us!!

Perhaps start your very own website with your own "extreme" band and cool headbands and raspy vocals and not allow ANYONE over thirty to join!! Then you could create Thread after Thread about how great you sing and what band names you can come up with and how you sound like every major Metal vocalist ever heard!!!

Not the brightest bulb, are you? Of course you see nothing wrong with this Thread. There is nothing "wrong" with it, in as far as it is a Thread. Perhaps you are not as "new" as you appear?

Look SD, this has nothing to do with your age. Apparently,  you share some mental traits with your new cohort here? In all the time you have been here, how many Threads have you created? Seriously? I have lost count. Is it your right to create whatever you wish? Sure. Is it your right to say whatever you want? Of course.  Is it really necessary to create Thread after Thread?? No. You have asked one idiotic question after another, made comments that are inane and generally made a fool of yourself over and over. NO ONE has badgered you, derided you or made you feel like anything less than what you are.

You created this Thread, ostensibly, to find musicians in Sydney. When I pointed out that you could not possibly accomplish that here and explained why, you back tracked and said you did not mean it and were not ready anyway. When I offered you sound advice to actually get results for your (alleged) desire to start a band, you made excuses. NOW you claim to be a poor, misunderstood "kid" (of 23) that has a bunch of "pathetic" old men teasing you because you were "being silly". Pathetic, indeed.

If you feel you are being "talked down to", perhaps you should examine what it is YOU said and what the responses were? Incomplete and miserable?? I certainly didn't make the statements you made. I simply called you out on your obvious charade. You no more intended to start a band with this Thread than I get "highs" by belittling people! You created this to make ANOTHER stupid comment about yourself. You have managed to do that with startling regularity. Clearly you must be used to having people speak to you in this manner? Yes, so I have noticed. Look, you are a regular member here and , as such, you deserve respect regardless of my personal feelings of you. I would love to "PM" you but we are not "friends" here and I cannot do so since your Inbox is blocked.

There are a few of us here that use this place to promote our music. That's fine. It is a wonderful source of exposure for those of us that actually do play. I encourage you to look for ANY way you can to get yourself out in the music world. It is almost always free to have someone that really matters listen to you. It has also been my experience that vocalists are rare and usually get snapped up right away, provided they are able to really sing. In fact, there are many that are NOT very good and THEY get picked up, too! I tell you no lie when I say that I put an ad on Craig'sList here and had FIVE responses in less than 30 minutes. Over the course of a week, I had many more AND several auditions. Each time I went to an audition, they had mics, PAs and recording equipment waiting there when I arrived. I did not need to "buy" anything... not even my own microphone! I chose a band in one week and I am not really all that great!!

There are many, easy ways to get going. I promise you.

In all my years in music, I have yet to meet anyone that is capable of singing Painkiller with "no problem", but I digress.

First, if you are so incredibly talented it would follow that you would make a demo of some kind rather than drone on about your abilities. In this way , you can offer your "sound" to the right people and let them decide who it is you sound like and what, if anything, you can offer a band.

Next, I am not familiar with Australia but here in the States, we have something called "CraigsList". While I readily admit that we here in America are great innovators, I hardly believe we are the only country to have such a service. Surely there has to be something similar where you live?
