GOOD morning, kiddies!!!!!!!!!!! What an absolutely INCREDIBLE day I had yesterday!!!!! WOW! I know I mentioned that we went into the studio to record a demo..well, what an experience. I have recorded many times but THIS was by FAR my most remarkable! The place was unbelievable!!! We arrived just as CARMINE APPICE was completing some work!!!! (Yes! THAT Carmine!) This place was just awesome! Not only was Carmine and King Cobra working there, Five Finger Death Punch had just finished and I believe he said Sublime had been in for some tracks.
The set up was just out of this world! I will post a few pics soon. For now, here is a shot with me and the great producer himself, Tom Parham!!! It was a dream come true to have such a professional work with me!! Got some GREAT advice and some very nice compliments about my voice!!!!!! Walkin on air here, people!! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

When I first came to this site I created some stupid threads out of boredom.
One thread I thought might generate some interest though was ...fill in the blank...I was curious to see the responses from those who have seen the Priest live.
Throw a dog a bone and leave a post there!(LOL)
At worst it should spark some creativity. Peace! |

I think more than 90% of us Spa, (even including my mother), as we ( ) went to the theatre last night. It was a very good show, its called 'Mad about the Musicals' and I've seen it before, probably not the sort of thing you should be doing on Good Friday but, hey, whatever.
Anyhow, if I can sit through the family Easter dinner without murdering some of my relatives then I may have earned my way back in- if not... Hell may be worth it.
But enough of that- how is everyone? I haven't been around, been bogged down in work and essays (still am). Hope you all have a good weekend and some time off! Hey everyone!
Guess who DIDN'T have Good Friday off? LMFAO My job considers it "optional" and I could use my personal day if I liked - no way cause it was the easiest day ever! No one was there!
My co-worker said my horns are showing.
I totally messed up this whole holy Lent thing this year - sigh...my italian catholic family is less than pleased...I already got the "Hell" speech from the remaining Grandma.
On a bright note, the weather couldnt be more perfect, my new tattoo is healing well and I found a ton of Priest videos stores on my computer (maybe thats why its running so slow???) |

It is nice, I'm kind of surprised it's not a compulsory day off over there considering the US is far more religious (in general) than NZ is. Unbelieveable! We've had nothing but rain or snow for forever now, and we finally get two days with no rain and really nice temperatures, and the national weather services issues a "severe weather alert" for the possiblity of brushfires. What??? my yard isn't even completely dried out yet at all!!
So help me! If I hear the local weather man say "we really need the rain folks" ANYTIME in the next month I'm carting a sack of water ballons to the local station and pelting him with them! Rant over.
Oh yeh, and Hi Den! Nice to see you around! Edited at: Friday, April 02, 2010 2:54:25 PM |

I love the south! They have the best place on earth-waffle house!!!
I'm torn between the southeast or the west coast. It's pathetic the way the media goes out of their way to paint a people with the broad brush of separation and racism. The media is a vulture. Most of what we hear I wonder if you could trust it at all. I certainly would not take an interview with people from what the U.S., as a whole, considers ingnorant states Because it is NOT a representation of the people who live there by and large. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | I can confirm what you say about the news looking to find the person with one tooth and more TWANG to their speech than I thought humanly possible.
A person I know works as our local anchorwoman. She pretty much confirmed what you stated: anyone who looks "normal" and speaks well in Tennessee is right out. They want people in wife-beaters speaking slang: "DANG, mai kun dawg done flown o'er tha haouse weth that thar ternada!" WTF, eh? | | spapad wrote: | | Since I don't watch those shows I guess I wont care about Jersey being hurt by it. Anyone with a brain knows better!
I do know that one goof, Snookie? only because she made an ass out of herself interviewing Rob and Scott. LOL I certainly don't think that show is anywhere near what the normal Jersey person is like at all.
I'm sure Jersey Girls with their unique accent are just as down to earth as southern girls with the twang. It's all the same, just how the media portrays all of us.
Now what is really sad, is when they interview a West Virginian, (state nextdoor to me) the media always go out of their way to find some ignorant fool with no teeth who is sporting a ball cap that says "God, Gun, Guts, and Glory" . How sad they feel the need to portray certain states in negative ways. It's all media bullshit.
After this winter, I wouldn't blame you for wanting to head West! It really sucked this year! BTW, before you leave send me those puppies! OH!! How cute they are!!! | | jerZgirl wrote: | | Aww, shucks. Thanks
Oh yeah I still am enjoying not pumping gas!!! And I am hoping that shows like "Jersey Shore" and "Jerseylicious" turn people so off to my state they stop visiting! LOL Too crowded here. Though my accent IS total NJ stereotype.
I visited Pheonix and Sand Diego and am quickly falling in love with the West Coast...if I can find a job out there I will relocate. Warm weather year round!

This is the last 3 of them before they went home. :(

And from the beginning...they were sooo freaking precious.

The day they were born...my dog was the BEST momma...broke my heart to see them go - she would count them when they were up and running. She loved her babies. | | guidogodoy wrote: | | Wonderful. Post pics.

LOL sounds like a good way to be Spa. I'd like to visit the southern US too, just to see what it's like.

Hey HB! How about putting the kids into "bands" of five and have them come up with a band name of their own? They can draw their first album cover, and come up with titles for their first 8-10 songs. Then there can be a vote between each band's album covers/songs. The first three bands with the most votes will win a prize. From then on each band will have that album cover as a representation of all the band members.
Or how about a costume contest? Give them guidelines on how to look metal and give some examples (like Rob Halford wearing denim and leather ) before they begin. The band with the best HM costumes will win a prize, and each band can get a group photo while wearing their outfits.
For the hike, you can scatter envelopes, each containing the name of a specific famous Heavy Metal band, all over the trail before the actual hike. When a band finds an envelope, you can tell the whole troupe its history and the role it played in the development of the genre. Play them a song from that band on a portable stereo when the hike continues until the next envelope is found. For a sport, make it a "battle of the bands". Any sport will suffice. The two bands with the most wins will face-off in a "metal festival" of sorts, where the losing teams can pick their favorite band and cheer them on, thus becoming fans of the best HM bands around (heheh). The winning band will earn the title of "Heavy Metal Legends" or something like that. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Monday, March 29, 2010 5:19:49 AM) | | Head banger wrote: | | So, as you all may or may not know, I am a cub scout leader. I had all kinds of ideas, a craft is making a guitar (cardboard and elastics) songs at campfire turns into a air band contest, but I am damned if I can find a way to get them outdoors. I need a way to turn a hike into a rockstar activity. a game outside would be good too, I could turn capture the flag into capture the rock award or recording contract, but need help on those two. any ideas? |

And that something else was his ARM! No matter what happens, we are all happy in East Lansing - Final Four 2 years in a row ! Izzo is freakin' awesome! | | guidogodoy wrote: | | HELLUVA GAME! | | Deep Freeze wrote: | | My sincere and heartfelt congratulations to you, geeeds!! A huge win and a GREAT game for the Spartans today!!! Everything one could want in a college basketball game! LOVED it!!! Well done, State!!!!!!!!!!! |

GD. the canadian program is significantly different from the american. consequently I have no idea what you mean. and I cant find many links online to ours. there was actualy an American boy scouts group opened in calgary. this way people who get posted here from texas (usualy) can still manage their eagle scout, whatever that is.
What is flour wars?\

I am a Webelo leader and I blasted the portable stereo during "Capture the Flag" and the "Flour Wars" at our last outing. The boys said it made them feel powerful.
What Den do you have? | | Head banger wrote: | | So, as you all may or may not know, I am a cub scout leader. Having just returned from a camp where the theme was days of yore (highly successfull) I want to do a camp where the theme is Heavy metal. I had all kinds of ideas, a craft is making a guitar (cardboard and elastics) songs at campfire turns into a air band contest, but I am damned if I can find a way to get them outdoors. I need a way to turn a hike into a rockstar activity. a game outside would be good too, I could turn capture the flag into capture the rock award or recording contract, but need help on those two. any ideas? |

What about camping on a ball field with a small stage riser borrowed from the school, and bring some speakers, and have a Guitar Hero Match off. Kids know all aoubt it and are good at it. I suck at it, and loose in the practice stage, but that would be a place to start. Sure you thought of it before.
Or, you could go to Melee combat in the woods with paintball or fake Medieval weapons, and blast Some cool Heavy Metal Music while they play?? Sounds like fun to me, and the music would drown out the sounds of footsteps sneaking up on them, they would have to be Really alert.
