YOUR RIGHT THE TRAINS WERE LESS CROWDED, BUT THE TRANSIT AUTHORITY KNEW THEY WOULD BE SO THEY RUN FEWER TRAINS. I WAITED ON AN ELEVATED PLATFORM IN WHIPPING WINDS FOR 25 MINUTES FOR A TRAIN.

FUNNY: ONCE I PUT A HAT ON MY HEAD I CANT TAKE IT OFF.  I HAVE  A FRIZZY MOP ON TOP.  I USUALLY GO OUT WITH MY HAIR WET IN THE MORNING. WITH THE LONG WAIT THIS MORNING MY HAIR HAD ICE IN IT.  AS IT MELTED DURING THE TRAIN RIDE WATER WAS DRIPPING DOWN MY BACK.

BUT IT IS VERY QUIET IN THE OFFICE. MANY PEOPLE TOOK PERSONAL DAYS. IT WILL GIVE ME A CHANCE TO  GET WORK DONE FOR THE AUDITORS WITHOUT MUCH INTERUPTION.

YOUR RIGHT MOST PEOPLE WONT DO ANY THING RELATED TO THE HOLIDAY. I THINK IT IS THAT WAY WITH MOST HOLIDAYS EXECPT THE REAL BIG RELIGIOUS ONES.

ANYWAY GOT TO GET BACK TO WORK.
BE BACK LATER.

Whatever your plans are for the day, here's wishing everyone a great day!
Ron, thanks for the chat ; )

Scorpion1, I don't think I've ever mentioned but my brother is a CPA, just outside the DC area.  My sister in law is a widow this time of year ; )  Not that she isn't busy enough herself, as she is a works for an environmental law firm on K street.  At least she is home before 10

Cheers!

Good morning Scorpion...unfortunately there are a lot of businesses that don't take the day off...at least you got the benefit of a less crowded commute to work...I wonder how many folks who do have the day off will spend any of the time doing something in relation to the holiday itself??

Hi Strat...here in the States it is Martin Luther King (MLK) day, a pioneer of the Civil Rights movement.  In his honor, today is a national holiday across the land.

[_strat_] Monday, January 19, 2009 6:24:10 AM
Ugh... Lucky bastards. Whats MLK day? I only gathered that it is a day off... Well, perhaps thats the only thing thats important.

Good day fellow Metalheads on another cold wintry day...it is Monday and there is no work for us on MLK Day here in the states.  Another day to mess around on the Board here...have a good one everybody!!!
[_strat_] Monday, January 19, 2009 2:47:51 AM
Yup. Bev did a wonderfull job in outgunning the bastard with pics. He hasnt responded in that thread since, and I guess thats worth a lot.

In any case, I guess that in a long run it wont be such a big deal, at least not for those of us who are only involved on-line. I must say tho, that this is the biggest excces in my time here.

Thank you spapad!!  I have these 2 icicles hanging on each side of the front porch and they bust be about 9'-10' long...I am not exagerating one bit...I want to knock them off but I'm not because of the picture buffs (mainly my sis-n-law)...they hang to about 2' from the ground, quite impressive really...

I'm actually impressed with the way posters handled the situation.  Papering over the moron's spree of idiocy with pictures of the band was brilliant!

Had to actually go back several pages to find out what the complaints and words were referring to.  In the end, this is a blip on the site, easily buried, and admirably dealt with.  The disgusting part is the fact that this person actually dragged the people he was degrading out on this site...  What a worthless person.  I feel bad for those people involved, for them this is an issue that goes beyond internet idiocy...

And hello to you Deep Freeze, and all the metallians and denizens of our wonderful planet!
