Yeh, you would definately be a little off on that end of the world date and also pay a heavy penalty for that gluten buffet.
You wouldn't need fireworks on the 21st.
HA! That would be akin to all those fools who spent all their money in expectation that the world would end according to some prophet years ago. Guess what, following day, the sun rose and they were broke!
Me going gluten-happy on December 20 would have a much more ... um ... "colorful" effect! LOL!!! Nope, I think I'll keep all my gluten / beer drinking here in the JP Cafe and play it safe. Plus, the people and music are both better here. I don't think the Maya ever predicted PRIEST!!
[guidogodoy] Sunday, April 22, 2012 12:19:39 PM
Aha! Someone knows the "long count" of the Maya calendar!
In Mexico, we have to read the Chilam Balam as required reading. It is a colonial work that describes, in part, the "short count." However, to understand it, we had to also learn the "long count" to be able to differentiate.
Right you are but it is actually translated from Maya-Quiché to Colonial Spanish more as "the end of a cycle." The "long count" calendar count basically starts over! Big whoop!
'End of the world' Guido? if u read closely (this goes for all of u) - it says 'a great change'...so...w/e happens i'll see ya all in some metal hell...lol (j/k)

Ahhhh....good clarification! Should I ever be caught unprepared in the bush I should eat the huhu GRUBS! Hell, I'd look like a pretty stupid foreigner found dead with a beetle stuck in my throat! LOL!!! Even worse than a boar tusk in the bum. All very interesting (and useful!) information! Thanks!
I always laugh when I get questions about Brazil: "do they use the same calendar as Americans?" "Er, no, they are in the year of the mongoose." "Is it close to Germany?" "Well, are we talking in terms of the equator / hemisphere or universe?" "Do monkeys really come in at night and steal bananas from the kitchen?" "Only if it escaped from the zoo...BATS are a bigger problem leaving bananas out at night."
So, stock up on Marmite, eh? Ok, also good to know. If any comes my way I am sure that it is sitting on a store shelf somewhere in which case I'll start hoarding.
Woops totally missed this haha! Crayfish is a common thing but not cheap (I don't eat seafood so blegh lol), wild boar isn't that common but it's yum and is starting to show up in restaurants more regularly (a burger chain here, Burger Fuel, had a wild boar burger for a while - Craig thought it was excellent), as for eels, it depends, I don't think it's that commonly eaten other than in more rural areas, possibly amongst the Maori people of those areas, I don't know. I certainly wouldn't eat it, too gross lol. Huhu grubs are bush food, they're pretty easy to find and edible if you're lost in the bush. They can be boiled and apparently taste a bit like peanut butter. Huhu grubs are not that big and not entirely pleasant apparently so definitely wouldn't be eaten as a meal on their own unless one was lost in the bush and starving.
The staple of NZ food used to be roast lamb (or mutton), but lamb is quite expensive now so people are going away from the traditional sunday roast - I love a roast dinner, chicken, beef, it's all yum. Meat and three veg type meals are very common too, but people branch out more these days with their food. Fish and chips is the big takeaway here lol, it's cheap here too compared to the UK.
Then there is the old favourite, Marmite LOL!!!!!! Which is in extremely short supply because the factory which makes it was damaged by last years earthquake in Christchurch and they can't make anymore till July, argh! lol.

Crayfish should be pretty easy but do you have to catch your own boar and eel? How about huhu beetles? Do you eat that as a full meal or is it a side-dish? Do tell! Curious minds want to know!

Yup, is was Avenged Sevenfold.
What pissed me off, though, were two things: Chris Jericho and the crowd. Crowd was friggin' stiff, lifeless and bored. Like friggin' Los Angeles zombies. And Chris was getting to be even more of an asshole with every minute that passed that he was onstage. No doubt because the crowd was boring. Oh! And that they held the awards show/concert on a weekday. Who the hell does that??
I heard Avenge Sevenfold won? Crappy band lol, but it's what a lot of younger people are in to under the guise that it is heavy metal. And they vote in droves.

I'll get in touch with you via tin can telephone soon.
I watched it until it bored me to death and didn't have to "like" it before watching. Sounds like Revolver has an inferiority complex if it needs to be "liked" before someone can see a show that can't make it on the 1001 informercial channels.

Well, that'll be a cold day in hell and monkeys will fly out of my ass!!! Guido with a cellphone or FB account OR Hellrider stopping his stupid shit!

Hellrider: read the last few posts. The "HE" that is driving people away with their spam is "YOU!" FFS, man, STOP! How many of your (ever-growing number of ex) friends have to come out to say that your are KILLING this site with your spam posts?!
What happened? We were all once friends and, as I said before, we'd all like to be friends again. You are making this impossible. Notice that a great number of "regulars" asked you to kindly stop with the spam and now no longer even post?? You are even driving off those that used to post from time to time on an irregular basis.
Please, I beg you. That little voice that should be in your head must be saying something! How about a follow-up on what Bud said below. You spam all threads. Can we make ONE for you to post everything you want? I've created perhaps one or two threads in my entire time on this board but I'd be glad to create a "Hellrider-3 AXE" thread for you and anyone else who wants to post there provided you KEEP it there.
(anyone who thinks this honest plea will work, please "friend" me on Facebook. Better yet, call me on my cell).

J.D. comes round when he wants to. He goes offline for a long time sometimes. Does HR piss him off? Oh hell yeah, just like the rest of us.
Guid, that was an excellent plead for sanity but I know..............we all know...............it's usless. We are........ALIENS? WTF? HR, I hope that Defenders poster spontaneously combusts. It probably hates being owned by a Priest Nazi. It's what you have become. You would love to see all us Priest fans not as insane as you be exterminated or just quit coming here. Yep. Your a Nazi.
I had the exact same thought about him having his own thread.
You know what really sucks?
I've done stupid things here but other than with J.D. I never attack without thinking (right or wrong)
that it's happening to me first. I don't want to post negative things about anyone but man, how much do we have to take?
I went to his profile and seeing his picture bothered me a little. I hate hating someone that seems pretty cool. I hate hating period.
My posts are just an attempt to get him to chill.
And since I mentioned J.D., where the hell are you man?
After the way you responded to me trying to fuck with you I gained a whole new respect for you. We started being civil and you left. What's up?
