Yes you did. I can quote you your response. Don't push me! LOL!!
Here...perhaps this will refresh your memory. Easy to find as it is one of my first in Photobucket.
Well, you've got plenty of time to find the pic as you wrote you would post 'IF' they won the WS. I've never seen the one of you during the WS!!!
Harry Carey was / is a true legend rip. I miss him in the booth so much!! What I wouldn't give to have run into him one night at some bar on Rush Street!!

Got the new one too. Bought at a market right in the streets of Greektown. Need I call back that pic of me and my bro with one of my FIRST JP cross pictures during the World Series? Skipped school every opening day. Sadly, to see the Tigs lose most often than not. Sad to say the same for the Cubbies.
Hell, Harry Carey made life a very good thing in the 7th irrespective of the outcome.
Haven't forgotten the pic of me waiting on the platform for the L, Ron. Just can't find it. HAAAAA!!!

Ron, glad I could find a way to take you with me to "that place". Cubs, Dodgers, Toledo Mudhens...makes no diffference to me. Its all about the time of year and all those things which make it what it is to us. Things that remind of us simpler days. Of family vacations in the mountains or at the beach or wherever. Camping, swimming, hiking. Sitting in that aforementioned chair after all the "eatin" is done and just looking into the night sky... Nothing like a warm, summer evening by the pool.

Don't even get me started!! You may or may not know this but, 2010 is Vin Scully's final year as THE voice of the Dodgers. I cannot even begin to tell you guys what his voice means to me. I recall my youth everytime he speaks. Such an icon. Such a true professional and a master of his craft. Things will just NOT be the same without him but I will always be grateful for the memories he has provided. Haaa!!! Do you mean the Dick the Bruiser song? I absolutely LOVED it.
Sadly, as someone posted right below the commercial I put forth, "local" radio is growing scarce. They DID play it in old Tiger Stadium but not new "Comerica Field."
I think of spring training and opening day and that song comes to mind every year!! Is there a pre-game show or telecast on opening day that doesn't open with that song?? I simply love it!!
I was hoping to catch a game this past week but they traveled to Toronto on the day I had the time. This is twice now I've missed out on visiting that beautiful new staium they play in now. I like it that it's recessed below street level a good bit so you can catch a glimpse from the strret on the right side of the stadium.

The blazing hot sun, the scantily clad ladies, the almost mathmatical beat of the ocean waves, the smell of charcoals as the grill awaits its first sizzle of a nice, juicy steak, the timeless dance of the "Boys of Summer" as they play the game I love so dearly and the moments at night when the warmth of the day seems to linger endlessly on your skin and the stars shine just a tiny bit brighter in the summer skies. The ice cold drinks that soothe your parched throat after a long day in the sun. HAAA!!! Good thing Don Henley is an ass and had his song pulled.
Here would be the tribute to your boys....Imagine the song. Personally, I prefer a local Detroit radio version named after the Strohs' brewery on Gratiot road was burned down. "Out on the road today I saw a Moosehead sticker on a Cadillac, a little voice inside my head said 'buy as six pack go and get a six pack." Light hearted fun and a closeness that seems to evade us all too often these days.
Forgive me if I wax nostalgic but those of you that know me well know that the warmth of summer and the long, lazy days thereof are my time. This is the time of year that I love most. The music (Priest, of course) playing for hours as your sit deep in your chair by the slowly fading coals of another successful barbeque.... If there is a "god", this is what he meant for all of us. Enjoy your day, my friends. Enjoy it and remember it for these truly are our best days.

It was very nice. But it also shows what a private person Glenn is and I respect him for that. I think I enjoyed the Hobbies page the most. He really shows a passion for fishing. Something I would never have a passion for. I like the fact that even the deep sea fish he catches, he releases. Now, that is a person who loves it just for the sport. YAY the end of the working week here! I have to say, I am SUPER happy with my new job! Not full time hours, but I am very very happy now. I have had a great week learning new things and am looking forward to going back! Which I haven't often been able to say about a job.
On another note, I am annoyed that I came home and some nonsense called Ke$ha appears to be on the music channel. WTF is this shit? LOL! Rubbish. Time to crank some Priest style heavy metal I think!

It is not humorous in any way. It is an embarrassment to us and a disgrace. We are not children. We should not act as though we are or as though there is some kind of morbid entertainment value in demeaning ourselves and our site.
You are all entitled to feel anyway you want. I am not your father. I have NO control over what you say. I have an opinion and that is all. I see this as a complete and utter disgrace to this Board. There are a few low-lifes that continue to come here with the sole intent of committing malfeasence. There is NO honor in them. No deceny. No self respect. No manners.
You can take this for what it is worth. If you disagree, you have that right. If the guys were to see what has transpired here of late, I am certain they would agree with me. No...they likely would shake their heads in disgust and simply not return. Hmm...perhaps they have? LONG ago. Big surprise, huh?

Good morning fellow Metalheads
Freeze, I do agree with your opinion of the bottom feeders that make the occasional appearance here as well as what the band might think if they were following along the jibberish that led to this. I have pointed the very same thing out on numerous occasions as I'm sure you're very much aware.
Murray has taken a lot of verbal beatings over the years from disgruntled members and I'm sure he's had to fight the urge to respond, I admire his restraint. Some folks just can't let a bad situation disappear and continue to spew their misguided opinions of his actions (or in some cases inaction). He's the one that ultimately cleans this place up and it has to be a very time consuming and under appreciated job, no doubt.
I do, however, think that by-in-large the majority of us handle ourselves quite well considering there is no moderator present. Murray has given us a lot of freedom to express ourselves in pretty much any way we desire as I'm sure the band doesn't want him to censor their fans, which pretty much leaves it up to us to police ourselves. If it does get to a point where he has to make a public post, there's a very specific reason for it. All I'm suggesting is that we all take it for what it is as we don't want to find ourselves making the same mistakes (most of us haven't and won't).
No doubt Murray is entitled to an appology, just not from those of us that do show each other respect and handle ourselves with a little bit of restraint. More importantly, we've had a number of very young fans here that shold not be subjected to some of the threads that are here or language that is used, but that is the responsibility of the individual members as well.
No, Murray should not have to make a public post as we are all very much aware of the rules that do exist. If the remarks for which he were responding to were made by someone else, he may have very well have banned them, or the account all together, but he didn't. There is a lesson to be learned here and I hope those that all this is refering to recognize it and carry on accordingly.
I'm sorry if you think I don't feel the same way you do, maybe it's me who is not expressing myslef clearly enough as I really think I do in fact share most of your sentiments. I just don't think all of us should bow our heads in shame over this is all. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Wednesday, April 14, 2010 10:07:00 PM)

He further went on to give an explanation, which I find highly commendable on his part for he didn't have to.
I didn't take it as a message to us all but rather a calling out of an individual.
I will admit that I'm a bit embarassed that it was directed towards a long time member who should know better, as I have been around awhile myself and consider this person a friend on the Board.
Either way, it's a good reminder that respect is a key ingredient to the longevity of this site and a good rule of thumb on these social sites.

Via e-mails, and other members who tell the real people what goes on,, , So I hope in this new year you can all get a real hobby, or a life for that matter,,,
Peace out..

Freeze, I was checking out your photos on the pictures of you thread. I noticed you had a tattoo
on your forearm. Any pics of it on here or could you put one up? I dig tattoos and wouldn't mind seeing it.
Take care man.
