I know how you feel about Lemmy. I've spent the last week blasting Motorhead in the car since it's my only domain where I can crank up music and not catch shit from either my kid or the dog. He was full throtlle his whole life except the last two years and even then his cutting back was to most of us our ALL out . Killed by Death. He really didn't take it easy until then. We'll miss him.
Now, I hate to bring up the word morgue but seriously, where is everyone these days? Like I have a right to ask after being gone for months on end.

As for a cure. Yup, would be nice for one to be found for cancer. For now, a healthy diet and some luck seems to be the best prevention.
