In Detroit, the firework display is split down the middle (in terms of date) and they are shot off of boats in the freighting channel of the Detroit River so Windsor can participate as well. Seen it from both sides and the water.

I hear ya...I have Rocka Rolla over some elite LPs too,its because of those same reasons you explained by putting Turbo ahead of BS....1986 was a great year for me I was 16 but the Turbo album let all the air out of the rest of the year for me back then lol. You....totally different experience.....Guido too regarding the Turbo LP......Lately (2014-2016) has been the WORST TIME OF MY LIFE hands down....yet Redeemer Of Souls is really the only thing that saves my soul.
Vail says ROS should be amongst the strongest...you have it rated #6 all time and I love it! I have it rated #4....Ian Hill has it rated #1 his favorite..... Rob and Glenn said its specits every bit as special as SFV and DOTF..... It really proves this album is HIGH QUALITY JP. |

Sin After Sin and Stained Class are neck-in-neck as far as songwriting quality and music composition goes, but Exciter, Stained Class (the song) and Beyond the Realms of Death are what give Stained Class the edge for me, especially with regards to the themes. Tone and atmosphere-wise it's the same - clinical and razor-sharp, doesn't mess around. After the foggy lugubriousness of Sin After Sin, Stained Class gives you a good slap in the face. Lyric, speed and tone-wise, the latter is stronger. A bit more metal, if you will.
Still, though, my thing. Doesn't mean that I don't love Sin After Sin. Like you, I love its overall tone and its gloominess (with a glint of hope...Last Rose of Summer).

Ah. You thought the same as I did - ROS should definitely be among the "strongest" (and it is DEFINITELY stronger than freakin' Turbo!). Also, Stained Class is stronger than Sin After Sin, IMO.
Loudwire also has Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath versions of this album-ranking article...thing. Anyone wanna looksie, lemme know!

day SFV always was one tiny step better than DOTF in many fans opinions and even now I can't
find anyone who says otherwise up here...everyone I've asked says SFV but only nearly ect... but
Everywhere else outside here its 100% opposite.... Its ALWAYS DOTF over SFV. Interesting.

@acolytee55 ...... I read this too on blabbermouth... Manowar are elite heavy metal veterans, I myself haven't been able to fully get into their stuff but no doubt they have made their mark on the heavy metal scene. Live however would be fun to watch I would think.
Album wise....Im sure most new fans from this nu- generation don't give a flyin' fuck about buying an "ALBUM" because the "ALBUM" is too long for them to listen to.... These stupid kids(and adults too) can't handle listening to an album for more than 3 songs....and THAT is pushing it....why do you think Priest chose to mainly play Dragonaut,Redeemer Of Souls track and the 3rd track Halls Of Valhalla? For that very reason alone. Nobody wants to "take up space" with "pointless albums or even smaller CDs"? Its a joke.
I'm not saying everyone should listen to a full length album every night but jeeze....
Most people who have heard the new Priest have only heard the first 3 tracks and that's because they went to the show. |

| @acolytee 55 .....Ritchie Faulkner is just so JUDAS PRIEST his style,ect....Its just incredible because it harnesses that signature Judas Priest sound without ripping off K.K. Like your already aware of,Jayne has him in K.K.'s image(sleeveless leather studded vest and flying V ) for extra $ purposes alike Kiss has with Singer and Thayer.....but sound style and charisma is anything but a ripp off. It definitely would of been OVER had they not found Ritchie. 100% over. I feel guilty sayin' this but I actually prefer Faulkner over Downing. Its just my opinion but that's the way I feel. Hats off to Downing though. |

@acolytee55....AWSOME news...yeah the new album won't sound like ROS or AOR....Glenn said they HAVE to TOP ROS ...Im sure they Will make a top notch JP record. One thing is for sure...K.K. Will NOT be a part of it in any way,shape or form...That is a GOOD thing.
His heart is NOT into heavy metal these days and if he were still here the music would suffer. Ritchie Faulkner is so right for this band just like Dio replacing Ozzy....Brian Johnson replacing Bon Scott.....Ron Wood replacing Mick Talor who replaced Brian Jones....same scenario here... I think Ritchie's stage presence is the best Judas Priest has ever had. From what guido has mentioned ...a pretty quick witted guy himself....I fuckin' love this guy!
