so about the pushing in front of the benches. simple fix. move the benches to oposing sides of the rink. not that hard, it used to be that way at most rinks till someone decided it made for beter TV if they could pan from one bench to another.
Every game I watch they have this camera to show replays from the oposite angle, therefore on the other side of the ice. one could think that camera could show the bench, like it now shows the penalty boxes.
sure its a bit of work, but think of the savings in injuries and bullshit

Might have been different if Shaw hadn't Slewfooted Filppula and took him out of the game in the beginning of the 1st period. I'm still pissed about that!!

that might sort things out. dont even blow the play down, just skate over and blast away. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Wednesday, May 29, 2013 1:07:13 PM)

And thats the problem. either you say these are the definitions, call every one, or say we will use judgment. they say that these are the rules, yet every ref is different. I dont mind so much them missing a call because they were screened or something, so be it. the puck got an inch outside the line, the linesman is on the other side, again, fine so be it. no one is perfect.
the crosschecking. thats a penalty. the first time, to the back, to the chest to the neck, to the head, whatever. call it.
oh well, glad to see LA won, hoping for detroit. would like to see detroit boston in the final. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Tuesday, May 28, 2013 10:34:38 PM)

I also noticed that they never replayed any of the penalties/no calls that we had issues with. Wonder why Abby and the Hawk were given 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct? Abby was crosschecked 3 times to the ice - NO CALL. Looked to us like the Hawks were offsides on the play that resulted in a goal (Franzen threw the puck out of the zone and Toews never cleared out of the zone before it was brought back in). Smith needs to start wearing a Hawks sweater, Jesus he is horrible! Too bad DeKeyser had his thumb broken by the Ducks or this might be a different series.

the hard part is unlike football the game keeps going for 2 more minutes, then you end up winding the clock back if someone changes a call.
I have been told hockey is the hardest sport to referee. I would argue soccer is, but both are damned hard. not sure how you do a later review. Watched the 10 worst calls in playoff history the other day, some calls were amazing. one was 4 feet offside. but thats a 30 year study of however many games per year to come up with 10 calls that bad.
I wish they could stop changing the damn rules. one year you can slash the stick, next year you cant. imagine the hooking of the late 80's going on today. shit the box would never be empty.
And truly that is all that I am asking for - consistency. I played basketball and I know exactly how to get away with dirty shit if I was that kind of player, which I wasn't. It's all in the timing and acting, which I had a front row seat for I'm starting to think it would be a good idea to allow the coaches to challenge calls/non-calls similiar to American football. At least that way games wouldn't be decided because of bad calls or no calls.

I missed the game so couldnt coment on this one.

I watched the old NFC championship between the Cowboys and Niners the other day. Can't believe the Niners won after six turnovers. Cowboys thought they had it won at the end and the defense lost it.

That catch was devastating. I remember both my girlfriend and I were in shock after he reached up and caught that thing with his fingertips. We got revenge though in the 92 NFC championship. Especially when Aikman hit Alvin Harper on a slant and took it all the way down to the 10 and that broke the Niners. Maybe my favorite Cowboy game. Joe Montana is probably the best qb to ever play the game though. Much better than Tom Brady in my opinion. Yeah I admit it, Montana is better than Troy Aikman.

Yeah, I was there too. Remember, I read a long time before I even posted (as I think many should!). I remember back to the days when people picked song names but I want an outside party to say that you were EVER over 100 ignores. Granted, you were most ignored but never even close to 100. I think you are having a flashback to your "friends" which far exceed that now.
Metal Meltdown, Deep Freeze, JD, Bev, names LONG gone. Dolly, SOMEONE help confirm this one! Heh, memory fails as to other great names since Murray reset the servers to 2008.
the points (after a month or so)
base 50, add 1 per friend, subtract 1 per ignore and 1 per banned post.
I am sure I was over 100, I was most ignored for a while. I was most respected for a day, back when "someone" was playing games with multiple accounts to move that around.

You never had over a hundred ignores, you liar! HAAA! While I'll admit that you had me around 2005, you were somewhat neutral during the Norman (and all his pseudonyms) attack.
Respect points? Never paid much attention to the algorithm but Murray did wipe a bunch of all posts during the worst Norman "events." No matter,I have a higher ratio than Bud!

I know I was watching the time-delay but Djokovic destroys Ferrer in 1 hour 29 minutes?!? Holy crap. That is #1 killing #4 in less time than it takes me to run 13.1 miles!
Curious to see the Federer / Murray match. Murray hasn't been tested yet. Novak has a HUGE advantage now in the amount of time he has to rest (72 hours) before the final.
Best news, I guess, is that the men don't shriek. Just that manly grunt.

HAAAAAA!!!! Now THAT I understand as it looks like a Havaiana from Brazil but I saw a doc that it was more a video competition. Had The Prodigy (I like, btw) who had something that won. Videographer, I'd guess.
Oops I spelt it wrong then cos it's jandal, lol. This is a jandal:

Ok, now what the heck is a "jandle?" HAAA!! On that front, more than "honesty," I don't think Bud was even here during the original kmac wars. Multiple accounts from one person. Happened again with the whole "Norman experience." It would be interesting to see Murray put an routine in the code that took out all those who have been banned, had multiple accounts and / or haven't posted in, say, two or more years. I think both the "friends" and "ignores" would change drastically.
Either way, as long as I am in front of HB on ignores, I am king of the world!
