Well...after much research I have discovered (as Bev has alluded to) that you have what are called 'Rank' as in the rank of General, and then there are 'grades' of rank as in Major General and Lieutenant General...this may coincide with how the military personnel is paid as there are 2 factors that determine a soldiers income...rank is one and time in service being the other...

...on a different but similar note, the Navy has a rank of 'Ensign'...an 'Ensign' is an Officer who went through the ranks as an NCO (Non Commisioned Officer ie. Private, Corporal and Sergeant) then at some point completed the requirements to become an Officer as opposed to a person who went to college first THEN joined the military as as Officer from the get go, and given the commission of Lieutenant...

beaurocracy ... some are better at being political (full ranking officials), some are better at getting it done (level just below), someone owed someone a favor (lowest of three levels).

Hey Faithful Defenders

What a busy day! It's my son Zakk's 4th birthday and we've had a blast of a day but feck me, I'm drained. We got him some cool gifts, he got a new bicycle which he adores and a whole new decore setup for his bedroom. He was pleased as punch. He also got  a spiderman suit and spent the day in it... being Africa and mid-summer, I have no idea how he kept it on all day but he did lol. We went to the aquarium so that he could check out all the penguins, he loves penguins and they had a great time exploring the wonders of the marine world.. It's just about 9pm now and I am buggered!

I hope that everyone has had as wonderful a day as I have had

Peace and love
xxx

Lieutenant Colonel is subordinate to a full-bird Colonel...how about 4 types of General...Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General and General...and then there's your 1st and 2nd Lieutenants...and I won't get into the different Sgts...

He may have a certain 'place' for the Romans, but was it not the Jews that 'handed' Him to the Romans??

As I, in my youth was a young Marine, I would suggest that Christ would at least be of higher rank than Colonel Sanders!!

Sure. A vicious barbarian conqueror and a peace loving messiah. Opposites attract.

Well, that was my point. Captain is a pretty low rank for a son of god, thats why I think that he is at least a field marshal, and the commander in chief of Heavenly forces on Earth.

As for the Romans, I believe that he had sent one of his junior officers to deal with them, a certain "Attila the Hun".

Oh, and the Betlehem massacre is true, its just that the liberal media dont want you to know about it.

I really do not know much about military protocol but I should think that if his dad is the Almighty, he would at least make an officer of some grade? Don't know anything about his personal vendettas, either. Although I have heard something about an aversion to Romans....

No, no... Its not that. It is more personal. Anyway, he is the son of god, I would imagine that he would be at least a field-marshal.

It is a little known fact that the J-man went into a killing spree in the Betlehem mall after being told that Joseph was not his dad.
