Holy Crap!!!!!! Things sure were "hopping" around this place last night!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had over 200 posts to "backread"...YEESH! Where do I begin??
Thanks for all the latest comments on the album. It is doing very well and we appreciate that! Good to see ol' Darth back here! Also, it is VERY nice to see we are not being barraged by the usual tripe from certain losers. It actually looks like we are on the road to better times!! That is GREAT news!
As for the recent deaths of celebrities... Well......
Farrah was a lovely lady. Certainly an icon. I do recall having her famous poster in my room. I will admit it! I did not share in the morbid interest surrounding her fight with disease. I am sorry but, that hit far too close to home and I simply did NOT wish to see that kind of thing...again. I found NO entertainment value in it whatsoever. Now, I do understand that there are those who feel it was a great way to somehow get more people to help fight cancer, blah blah blah..but I just could not stand to see her in that condition. No disrespect to her or Ryan O'Neil. It just was not something I wanted to watch. I will forever remember Farrah Fawcett and as she was so many years ago. That works for me.
Michael Jackson. Hmmm.... I was never a fan. Did not care for him. I readily admit he was a musical genius and an innovator. He was great. However, there are many great musicians that I simply do not follow. He did not "influence" me or my music. He did not write the "soundtrack to my life". He did not affect me much in any way. He was a great entertainer and I am sorry for his loss. That is about it. My first wife had one of his albums, I think. That is about as close to him as I ever got. In fact, as crass as this may sound, I could really do without all of the media coverage. It is already getting to be FAR too much for me to stomach.
Ed McMahon. Now here is a great man. What a load of memories I have of him! He was the Master Sidekick!! A great guy. I kind of figured his time was up as he was really looking bad. I feel sorry for his loss, too.
OK, so there you have it. Now then, I am back on the road to vacation!! Much to do STILL!!!!!! I will be checking on you all later!!

SOUNDS LIKE THE TRIVIAL PERSUIT QUESTION:
IF YOU WERE IN DETROIT AND DROVE STRAIGHT SOUTH, WHEN YOU LEFT THE UNITED STATES, WHAT COUNTRY WOULD YOU BE IN?
I once got asked how many countries south of mexico canada was. I must admit, I didnt know it that way. I sugested that the agent have the traveler go north. person had no idea there was a country north of USA.

Icon? Don't know about that but, as any American knows, the best Ed was a roaring drunk Ed! LOL!!!

Just heard about that.
Well, what can I say... I never liked any of his music, but still... The guy was an icon, there can be no doubt about that. So, RIP. Pop music has lost a big name yesterday. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by pip from Friday, June 26, 2009 5:51:26 AM)
