@spa.... There is an article on blabbermouth. from July 27th, 2015.... If you scroll through the archives and find it it's an article about KK downing, KK explains how he absolutely loves the Nostradamus album, and he says in this article that he wanted Nostradamus to be the last Judas Priest studio album, he says it would've been the perfect album and the perfect way to end Judas Priest's recording career and after 2008, he would have preferred the band tour from 2008 possibly until even now just one long neverending tour.

I think obviously that Rob, Glenn, Ian snd Scott wanted to keep going forward with heavy metal, Scott Travis said so back in 2011 when KK quit the band. I'm so glad that Rob and Glenn decided against KK's idea to end Judas Priest's career with Nostradamus album, Rob and Glenn absolutely love Nostradamus as well, but obviously did not want to end their career on that note.this we pretty much can figure out by these articles and what these guys are saying, but all the other stuff like you said spa is something we will never know and something perhaps we shouldn't know, but make no mistake about it I believe this line up of Judas Priest is the best and the band or out there best in their career at the moment.

Ritchie has certainly amped the band up, but there are other things, that of course we'll never know of, (nor should we) that have probably taken place. A sense of agree to disagree and trust the other's ability as much as your own. Things of the like that only maturity brings. Whatever IT exactly is. I love it!

I prefer nowadays! I know Rob's voice was better back in the Day,but to me its Richie Faulkner....I prefer Richie over K.K. ,now THAT is blashemy lol. Faulkner's stage presence is far superior than Downing these last 10 years IMO ,that and how great Redeemer Of Souls really is makes me like Priest much better now, plus what Guido has posted. One more album we will get from our favorite band.Glenn said no matter how good Redeemer is they MUST top it or bust. This will be interesting.
The "poor production' on Redeemer is overrated ...people must not like Raw Priest and must be listening to the album through a crappy stereo.BLAH!

I'm sure it wasn't lying but when I saw Princess Bride it was either on Video or HBO, and you know how frickin' long it took for things to go from theather to other forms back then. Year and a half was not unusual at all.

Agree with you 100%. MUCH more interaction with the crowd, stop to pose for pix, Rob is so appreciative on behalf of what the fans have given to the hardcore followers of the band.

That is my vote. NOW! Could barely get them to sign an autograph back in the day. Now we all know to hang out by the busses. Even speaking with Richie was a friggin' blast. Funny and extremely quick-whitted fellow.

Question to the faithful Brethern and Sistren  :

Do you enjoy seeing Priest more now or back in the day SFV/DOTF tiimes? And tell why please.

I've thought about it, and I think I enjoy the mature JP live. Rob talks to the audience and connects in ways he didn't do when he was younger, all of them seem like they are enjoying their time on stage now, and I can't help but think alot of that comes from the exuberane Ritchie and Scott together have brought into the fold.

I loved the JP of long ago of course, they had tons of energy and the shows were always excellent but they just seem so much more in touch with the audience now it's hard for me to  compare the two. Apples to organges maybe or maybe it's because I have matured right along with them.

So, what do you guys think?

Really? 87. I would have guessed around 90. I didn't get to theathers much back then so 90 might have been when I saw it.

She likes that one too but not nearly as much as Labyrinth.  She's an 80's movie girl.

That's my Daughter's favorite movie. She even has the book and T-shirts with Gareth on them. I got to admit, I'm a huge fan of it too. I was of course the one who said, "You HAVE to see this movie."

Very sad, he was so talented and such an influence. This is what I remember him best as - Labyrinth is one of the best movies ever!

Just got back home after a massive transit delay + AA general fuck-up.

Agree. Heard the news in Phili today via friends. RIP Ziggy Stardust aka. the White Knight. The world is a sadder place without him.

Seems our legends we all grew up with are dropping like flies this year. Enough already.

Rest in Peace David Bowie. Loved him.

For those wondering about Lemmy's memorial, here's a message from Motörhead's official FB page:

On SATURDAY JANUARY 9th, the world will come together and celebrate the life of our friend, and legend, Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister.

Family and close friends will observe a service at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Hollywood, commencing at 3pm PST and ending at 4.30pm. With such limited space available on-site, we respectfully ask that you don’t attend the cemetery… but we want you ALL to be a part of this, so we are setting up a live feed of the service via the internet on Motörhead’s official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbPCDmtTU-W4SdA8abZtWpA

So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends. GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us.
Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.

Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday 9th and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.
