| | I liked it too. I love In This Moment and Maria Brink and thought she did good. I thought it was funny they did it so well. It sounded a little out of whack when it first started and figured Brian would laugh thinking they f**k'd it up. If he's not too biased he might dig it. They are one of the reasons I want to hit that festival. |

| | I was just on Priest's facebook page. I'm noticing two things. One cool and one not so cool. Cool: They have an ad for their appearance on Rockline. The photo attached has a photo of MRH. (Sorry, my two favorite bands, I love it) Not so cool: I try to not  let the criticism bother me and commented to J.D. to try to do the same but I spent twenty minutes reading comments and the majority seem so critical. I'm not really sure what people are expecting from them. It won't be a highlight from their career but it sounds like a good effort to me and a good way to go out.(if that's the case.) |

| | After careful consideration, I feel my synopsis of Nostradamus was a bit harsh..I do like the album and it gets spun fairly often at my house..I love the story and the songs and Rob's voice..I just feel it could SOUND better..I was one of the defenders of the album from the get-go when it was getting bashed by a lot of Priest "fans"..I just think it could stand to be re-mixed..I would happily re-purchase it, especially if there's bonus tracks or maybe a DVD..Priest has been and always will be my favorite band and they can do no wrong in my book..I am waiting for Redeemer of Souls with baited breath and will continue to enjoy Nostradamus.. |

Another Jim Breur video I took @ ROTR. "Heavy Metal Man". The fella's in their forties should get a kick out of this. It's comedy but this is pretty heavy. I think it almost has a Priest feel to it.

| | Pipen...no your absolutely right,Hammerfall out of SEVERAL british styled traditional heavy metal bands seems to be the only band that sounds like 1980's heavy metal : 80's Judas Priest(70's too) ,80's Iron Maiden,80's Dio (Holy Diver/Last In Line) stuff like this shows up in thier material but never a rip off, just a homage ect....

They are not for you,and most heavy metal fans
but like I said for me,I've studied traditional heavy metal and TONS of bands these last ...about 7 years or so now...and HF imo is the very best...not just because they dound 80's,but because of how GREAT and AWSOME thier songs and albums are man. Sure they have one or two songs here and there that I dont like, but not many. Dont like thier ballads ect...but yeah they fuckin kick ass.Joacim Cans is one KICK ASS original vocslist.

They all play a Painkiller/Jugulator style of Priest's influence in them ....so yeah they are all good bands but just not for me thats all ...

Hammerfall's Priest influences that show up in thier music comes from 70's and mostly 80's Judas Priest songs. HF would of fit well if they came out in 1982. They have 8 studio lps from 1997 -2011 and for me personally I love thier first 7 albums.
They last one sucks heavily imo.

Definately not pushing Hammerfall on anyone, but to me...out of tons of bands I've heard....HF carries the traditional 80's banner with sound and image aesthetics and most importantly thier songs.

It is a masterpiece of excellence, but just something I for whatever reason cant seem to harness its magic. But Im well aware of how epic and how versitile it is.
Accept....yeah man, even though I dont rave about them they are classic true traditional heavy metal yes,and thier new albums are just as classic and if not heavier then that of 80's Accept, just a classic heavy metal band all the way around, much heavier than Saxon by style and piurpose ect....

I meant when all bands that are old and oldschool from the 80's like Sabbath,Ozzy,Priest,Maiden,Saxon,Accept....the day the last one retires then in my opinion Hammerfall will definately be the number #1 current classic traditional styled heavy metal band.

Wait untill we hear the opener "Dragonaut"....I'm sure it will kick our asses.....

Somehow you get the idea that I dont like the album or over rate it? Not so.
I love Painkiller,I bought it the day it came out, consider it #4 all time lp of Priests and still pump it heavily.

It is the everest of Priest's heavy albums yes,but to me Sad Wings,BS,SFV beats it. IMO only.

And yes I think fans want a much more heavier lp than AOR and Nostra. I do too. I liked AOR not only for the 8 out of 10 yracks I like but also the way it was purposely recorded not as heavy as Painkiller to harken back to an lp that sounded somewhere inbetween SFV and DOTF kinda sound ect....
