I was at a Judas Priest concert...front row on Glenn's side (heheh). The band was playing and we were all having a good time until the band was done and was bowing to us. After that, Rob suddenly grabs me and a few others by the hand and brings us up onstage. He then escorts us to another room. It was full of brown and green construction paper. He then orders us to make paper trees for the next concert. I was confused but did what Rob ordered anyway, at least until I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock. I'm still confused as to what it's all about. |

Black Sabbath and Judas Priest belong to the Heavy Metal category. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal started in 1979 and includes bands such as Iron Maiden, Saxon, Diamond Head and Grim Reaper. Sabbath and Priest were the pioneers and are not included in the NWOBHM. So you could say that the first wave was simply called Heavy Metal and that is what Priest is in. I was at a Queensryche concert wearing my Empire tour shirt and my Judas Priest necklace the other night and another Priest fan started talking to us. He told me that I didn't look like a Priest fan and then started "testing" me. I passed his test needless to say and he couldn't believe it and he was just so shocked that I was a Priest fan because I don't look like one. HMMMMM...... So what does a Priest fan look like then??? |

Ya, the most of them.
Nina Hagen. After two album releases she starts her solo career. Her ex band find the name "Spliff", but the first album was singing in english. It was the famous "The Spliff radio show". Later they have released three albums singing in German. "85555", "Herzlichen Glückwunsch" and "Schwarz auf Weiß".
Extrabreit (sometimes harder stuff just like Hard Rock),
Nena, Münchener Freiheit, Joachim Witt, Fehlfarben and so on. I hate to say it, but I actually try to hide the dates for such bands from my daughter. Nope! Never hear me say, "Honey Jonnas Bros comming to"
Nope, I'll keep my big fat mouth shut till she picks a decent band. Hope she's home when Priest rolls through this summer. Wouldn't mind taking in an Iron Maiden tour too! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by mgdman from Saturday, March 28, 2009 8:40:19 PM) |

Well everyone... I have had the UNfortunate pleasure to actually
see them live at our local fair 2 years ago! This was me the
whole time!! My girls were 8 and 5 at the time, the little one
couldn't take the volume( of bad music and screaming tweens!). So,
my wife took her out and they listen from outside the venue leaving me
with my 8 yr old (to suffer) the rest of the show. Now I truly know
what HELL might be like!!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Monday, March 23, 2009 7:40:38 PM) | | spapad wrote: | | I suffer, just thinking about ever taking Flora to see Jonas Brothers! MG~ I would need an I-pod on extra loud to deal! Blasting Priest.

Well, I am fairly certain it is the old "all or nothing" policy. They cannot waste time getting together and deciding what is acceptable and what is not and where to draw that line without risking offending someone and all, so they just ban everything. Saves them time and litigation. |
