I interpret the post by Admin this morning as more of a way to let folks know that the rules apply to everyone and that there is no special treatment, no one is above having either a message or an account banned. I could be wrong, been that before - LOL

I have been here for years and yet I am not the "longest" surviving member. I have engaged in silliness, acted inappropriately and even been fool enough to battle with morons (perceived or otherwise) during my tenure but I do not recall a time where Murray actually had to remind everyone that the rules of even the most basic decency still apply. Funny but, we really get away with a lot around here and it is astonishing that we have allowed ourselves (yes, I said we) to degenerate to such a level that the webmaster himself feels he needs to step in and act.
I am not sure exactly what transpired and, in all honesty, I do not need to know. The result is all that matters. Good friends gone. Good members leaving. More idiots coming and chaos reigning. And through it all, a small group continues to try, so desperately, to keep this place alive and healthy. Lord knows I have tried...and tried..and TRIED. I just cannot get my old mind around this. Perhaps some more time away? I don't know. I love my friends here. I even have a certain fondness for those that are not so friendly to me. All part of what makes us a family. I still believe that. I do. We are family. A family in turmoil to be sure. |
