Exactly, we still have enough eyesight with which to bestow lustful glances on the JP men LOL!
Have a nice dinner Vail!

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup! It can be a real handicap. But least we're not completely blind, so thank the Metal Gods for that.

Anyway, I'm getting hungry and I haven't made dinner yet. I'll be back on soon. See ya later, Becks!!

Yeah. That really sucks when those glasses break and you can't see at all. Everytime mine broke, I would keep a hand out and hope I don't trip or anything. Not fun at all.

That's part of why I got contacts too, for field hockey. And also like you, I don't remember ever seeing without glasses, even though I was a teenager when I first started wearing them. My glasses broke a while ago and my husband had to guide me around the mall we were in, because I couldn't see anything properly unless it was right up close to me. It was awful.

I remember my mom told me that my doctor noticed I was losing my vision when I was about nine or ten (now when I think about it, actually don't remember seeing without glasses on). Been wearing glasses since elementary school...granny glasses at that! At around my junior year in high school I had to ask for contact lenses because I was in a dancing activity and my glasses were flying off when I was doing some crazy stunt or something. So yeah...been blind as a bat for a long time!

Haha yeah, no worrys about smudges on glasses fuzzying things up and whatever. All nice n clear!
Lost my vision during high school. In my first year of high school (I think) a public health nurse came and tested the vision of everyone in my year. I had 20/20 vision. A year later, when I was nearly 15 I think, I was in biology class and suddenly realised I couldn't read the blackboard properly. So off to the optometrist with me LOL! So I lost my vision, or have been gradually losing it I guess, for 10 years (I'm 25 in october). What about you??

mmm...I see...well I didn't know it was expensive there...it's not a big deal here
and yes....the consequences of laser surgery are not always good
[Vaillant 3.0] Thursday, April 23, 2009 8:49:22 PM
Really? When I first got mine, I was amazed at how everything was crystal clear to me!! Regular lights and shiny metal objects (like trophies) seemed amazing to me!! When did you first lose your vision?

That's true, I've heard stories of peoples eyesight weakening again - that's people who had laser eye surgery like when it first came out.

It's freakin' expensive, plus results aren't always guaranteed.

Nah, having to take them out isn't a big deal, I just took what was prescribed to me haha! I'm the same, it feels so bizarre being able to see without wearing glasses! When I first got my contacts, I seriously almost cried cos it was the first time in years I could see without glasses.

Darn it!! I have to take mine off before I go to bed. Ah, well...not a big deal for me.

I wear my contact lenses about...hmmm... 40% of the time. In those few times I do wear them, I feel like touching the part of my face that my glasses would normally occupy just to make sure I'm not hallucinating! Plus I have those moments when I feel like running my finger up the bridge of my nose to push up an invisible pair of glasses!

See ya later, Guido!! Viel Glueck (good luck)!!

Good to know all my fellow Priest contact wearers here. Learned just today that I had one on inside out. Hmmmm.....gotta read 321 on the concave side, eh? HAA! No wonder the left one hurt so damn much.

Ok, gang. Gotta go soak, pack and eat. May or may not see all y'alls later but, if not, look for me on the news. I'll be the Run, Fatboy, Run guy finishing a 1/2 marathon in 20+ hours! LOL!!! Ciao.

There are quite a few types which are designed to be able to sleep with them in, so nah, not bad with the ones I've got

Awesome Guido I use contacts 99% of the time, with mine each pair lasts two weeks, but I sleep with them in and have 1 rest day a week where I wear my glasses. Only thing I hate with contacts is when you get a bit of dust or a tiny hair on the inside of them, big OUCH! lol. Doesn't happen often though, most of the time you don't realise you're wearing them.
