Identical. Once people meet us they can usually tell us apart ok though. I think so anyways LOL!

Spa, it was how many of them there were that shocked me.  None of them asked me for anything, I got the feeling that they've already accepted defeat and were just waiting for it to end.  I know that sounds weird, but that's the impression I got...they looked defeated!!

Nah, she's not unfortunately LOL! Strange considering we're twins too LOL! She's into Led Zep, AC/DC, Janis Joplin, Manic Street Preachers, U2, among other artists lol.

We saw so many beggars in Paris, it was really sad. The one I remember most was an older man sitting on the pavement, holding a sign that just said 'J'ai faim' (I'm hungry).

HA!!!!!!!!!!! You'll have to bring a sweater or two as well. The Golden Gate Bridge area can get pretty cold.

Becks, is your sister a JP fan?

Even in Nashville you have the "homeless" the pan handlerers. It was strange, as I have not seen that since I lived in Richmond 25 years ago.
It's sad, but do these people try to do anything to improve their condition? I should shut up as that could be me with just a couple missed paychecks.

My sister is going to be visiting California early next year, she's meeting up with her old flatmates from here in San Fransisco. I've been to SoCal before, last time I was about 8 years old though LOL! I'd like to visit NorCal one day, just to have a look LOL!

When I spent a week up there last September, I'd walk from the hotel to the arena/convention center on the main drag and all along the way were the homeless, sleeping in the parkway and in the crevices of the old church there...truly disheartening.  I'm not sure what happened to Detroit, but it was once a mighty city with a lot to offer.  I can't believe it all is a result of the auto industry as there's so much more there than just that...it's a truly sad situation that's been getting worse (if possible) rather than better...

Been there MANY a time. I have cousins there, you know that...then again, I have cousins everywhere. HEH. Father lives in San Clemente, his sister moved up to Chico State area where three cousins currently attend institutions in the San Fran area. I'll look you up next time.

NorCal's actually pretty nice!! Not as many attractions as SoCal, but you can enjoy yourself pretty well here. In Sac City, you have the Capitol building, Old Sacramento, the Zoo, etc. Very nice place to be!

Guido: You're right. He was at the garage sale yesterday, actually.

I've been to southern Cal several times and enjoyed myself (except when I was in boot camp lol), not sure about northern Cal, but as long as I could make a stop in the Napa Valley area, I think it would be a cool place to visit sometime!!!

Never been there! Hear they have fabulous hot springs! You know the Greenbrier in WV has awesome hot springs and housed a presidental bunker in it until  1992 when they closed it. That is how we know about it now, but I knew before they revealed it because out country club manager was a waiter years ago in the Greenbrier.

Well, you really remind me of a high school buddy of mine I call "Poncho" (real name David Ponce) and you kind'a look like him too.  He's a metalhead who likes to travel as well, but he lives here next to Chicago as I do...but still he goes.  I don't think I ever heard the story of why you left Detroit, but as I've been there quite often over the years I can imagine why (though I could be wrong), but why Tennessee??  It doesn't seem to fit your personality at all...
