While the one I mentioned is simply outstanding, the Bachman Books (written under that pseudonym) are a group of really cool short stories. He won't authorize a reprint in the US because it includes "Rage" that detailed a HS shooting before it actually happened. Google it.
You won't regret reading "11/22/63." It is great. Went on a small (heh) run today and was tempted to finish listening to my second audiobook ever. NY Times had it as top five fiction books of the year and a movie is now in the works.

HA! No, I am no "supermarathoner." I just looked, the unabridged version is easily 30+ hours. I am just finishing it up with these last distance runs before a full marathon. Don't know what my time will be after running 26.2 miles but I might just have time to listen to the whole thing over again!
Never really thought about listening to audiobooks either until another distance runner kept hammering how "Into Thin Air" was so good. Indeed, it was as is this one by King.

you ran thru that whole book in one run? thats impressive. how long is the audio book. Personaly I cant listen to books, but thats just me. heck I cant run either so 0 for 2 there.

You certainly got my comment about Priest (or lack thereof) under your nails, didn't you? Let it go. Breathe. Take up yoga.
Anyhoo, back to the topic. Listening to right now? Nothing at the moment but I just finished a run to the audiobook "10/22/63" by Stephen King. Fantastic novel and a great reader.
