I didn't know anything about the laws in germany, or any other country for that matter. We have laws here but i've yet to see them imposed. The thread is "THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMM..." That's how i feel when i see it happen. Just because we use the ashtray doesn't mean we all dump it in the trash can? But don't sweat it, no big deal. I worded it wrong, and it attacked all, when it it was directed at "some", cause not everybody does it.

Please, lets NOT go and start speaking for everyone here. That's cheap and easy. That's not to say you don't have a valid point, but don't go ripping into people and justify it because you use to smoke. Everyone does something that offends someone else (with intent or not), none of us walk on water or ever will. Congratulations for quitting the nasty habit. Maybe sharing how you were able to do it would help someone out.

Here's a real deep one for you....
I switched my mobile phone off when I got to work this morning... 8.30am.
When I turned it back on at lunchtime it instantly received a text message from my wife... 1.30pm.
My wife sent the message at morning tea time... 11am.
So where was that message during those hours my phone was off, and how did it know where to find my phone?

Ity sucks you have to deal with there second hand smoke! Smokers think its there right to smoke in public, but im in public and have to deal with it! Bottom line smokers rudist,most inconsiderate people i think! I used to be one 9 years ago so ive been there!
