Morning everyone! Hope you are all well. Hopefully my cat can come home from the vets today - he had to stay over the weekend cos we took him in on friday afternoon (something still wasn't right) and the vet found a heart murmur - from what we've been told it's nothing super serious they just wanted to monitor that and his eating.
Hehe sounds like you'll be floating on air for a while Ron, cool! I love happy occasions hehe.

I decided I had said too much and retracted alot of that statement. I know you have a very special bond with your daughter and I think that is great. Even though I don't aways see eye to eye with my X I do hope he and she can remain close.
Amazing how having a child literally changes everything about who you are! It's like being born to another life yourself!

Spa, by no means am I saying what I feel is the same thing every other father feels...I know that's not true...and shame on those fathers who aren't responsible.  I have all the respect in the world for single parents, there's no tougher or rewarding responsibility out there!!!  What I posted was strictly speaking for myself and how I feel.  I know your situation and I agree with how you feel.  When my daughter was born, my life completely changed, it's when I grew up and became a man...nothing else mattered...to a fault!!!

Being that it is my responsiblity to raise my child for all but a month and a half out of the year, I would tend to differ.
But, my father means the world to me, and I don't know how I would ever have gotten along without his help and trust.
You know how much he means to me! Just hope Flora can have that with her father.

I honestly can't imagine a deeper bond than that of Daddy and his daughter...not to diminish all the other types of bonds that there are, as they are all so special.  But the instant connection when I held mine for the very first time... there's been nothing to compare it to...

HA!! Kitty Jammies!! My dad used to have an old pea green truck and he would come to pick us up at school sometimes in that hunk of junk! Had I ever thought to pack a Paper bag for such occasions, I think I would have! LOL  Like you said, back to the BlaHHHH!

Yeah, I get the door slam too - At least it's not the front door! LOL  We'd much rather harrass each other in other ways!  If there was a camera in our car some mornings ... He won't let me get out to change drivers anymore, especially when I wear my kitty jammies to drop him off at band practice! hm ... I wonder why?!  Think he's embarrassed   OK ... back to metal blah ; )

Well, she's all about the drama now! Lots of slammed doors going on, but I got to love her attitude! She still thinks boys are idiots! When she told me this, I just said, "Girl, you just keep that attitude!" LOL I'm hoping it will buy me a year or two!

Ah, you have a few interesting years ahead of you.  I always thought having a girl would be difficult, and I s'pose it is if you're a Dad; some of the things my son has experienced though (won't mention 'em as he's here), I'm thinkin' at this age it's difficult to parent either!!! LOL

Well, Im only uh....cough...... 40... five-ish or something this fall, come Novemeber! Long way away from being a Grand though, as Flora is only 12, Thank God! I'm nervous about 15 or 16! Guess she can go on a date if her mom rides with her! Never!
She's such a good natured girl, I really don't see it being a problem though!

Bev, I agree, we are very fortunate to count Faithful Defenders amongst our family! I've see a thousand cover bands over the years but non to match the dedication this Band had!

Couldn't agree with you more!!!  This was truly a labor of love for these guys, and we are the privileged beneficiaries of their love for Priest.  When I say this has been an awesome last couple of months in my life, this has very much been a part of it!!!!!!

Hey Ron!  You know ... there are cover bands that play just about everyday, all over the world and that is very cool - but I gotta say, what these gentlemen did goes beyond the scope of "cover band"!  I'm preachin' to the choir.  I know you know what I mean. : )
Faithful Defenders and their works Raw Steel & Forged Steel are a legacy of the membership here at JP.com ...

Freeze, I'd like to tell you ('Meltdown and the rest) Forged Steel is a fantastic piece of work, from the cover art, to engineering, and post production work!!! I finally burned it to my library.  I confess also to listening to some of the new music you are currently working on, while lurking here in the shadows these past few months -  My best to all!
[Deep Freeze] Sunday, August 02, 2009 2:25:38 PM
Thanks, you guys. Seriously. It's funny but I am finding that I am able to go higher with my voice these days. I guess it is because I am singing almost everyday now and I am getting some strength back. I have done a couple songs now where I have really surprised myself. I thought those days were LONG gone but they seem to be coming back..well, at least PARTIALLY.... HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[spapad] Sunday, August 02, 2009 2:21:41 PM
Gives you respect for the God! It's very hard to scream an entire song! You did an excellent job!  Extremely difficult song to scream, and scream on pitch! Two Horns up!
