I figured that Budred. ROTR is absolutely INSANE!!! Being crushed up front is an understatement! I left my spot in the 3rd row, no way I was staying in that. My bruises have bruises! You really did miss a great set by Saxon. I wish I could have gone to see Priest and Saxon in Cincinnati on Sunday or in Chicago yesterday. I'm pissed because I was really looking forward to seeing them open for Priest in Detroit in July, but now Freedom Hill is showing that it is Priest with Pop Evil. SON OF A BITCH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Trading Saxon for Pop Goes The Weasel??
@HRMG, surely you should have known that was just to get the resident loudmouth going.(lol) I like Saxon. I've listened to them since the Denim And Leather album. I would have watched them at ROTR but I stayed at the mainstage for the first 4 bands that day because I was right up front against the rail and wanted to experience that madness. You saw how nuts it gets on the field and trying to get up front when all that craziness is going on is nearly impossible so I couldn't leave. ROTR is a blast and the craziness is one of the reasons. Missing Saxon was one of only 2 or 3 regrets that weekend.

Heh...Passport control wannabe between MI and Canada, i'm telling you!
I'll be sure to pick up tonight. Try 414 or, if that fails, 313 with any seven you can imagine, though. With the latter, you'll eventually hit a friend or family member. Ask them to pass me the phone.
His face never changed the entire time. Before, during and after the set - still the same look. You know what your momma always used to say, someday your face will FREEZE like that. Well, his did!
Hey, I'll call you later tonight, around say 747 or 101 Scandinavian time. Make sure you pick up this time and for Gods sake, get the ground lights on!!

Just study your ass off for the other two and you should do just fine.
Damn. I applied to three polytechnics this year, and just found out that the entrance exam to one of them clashes with Priest's concert in Finland. Oh well, entrance exams are every year while Priest is touring only once every three-four years it's not hard to decide where I'm going that day.
I just need to hope I can get a good result either of the two other exams...

I was going to watch Saxon but didn't really care about a band with such non relevance in the music world and stayed at the mainstage to get up front for "In This Moment". As for Priest not playing You've Got Another Thing Comin' I was so glad, the one song that I am so sick of hearing. I noticed a lot of the younger people around me giving props to Priest and i thought that was cool. After the first show w/ Richie that I saw I thought Priest was finished but I have to say he's fitting in well and even though he changes Priest's overall sound I think he is good for them. I hope we get at least one more cd and tour out of them. (I just hope they get someone that can actually produce the thing this time). I heard it wasn't televised and I thought that sucked. We have a "Country" music fest here that they televise each year and sometimes the headliners are left out. They say it's the artists and or their management and contractually they aren't allowed to be televised so maybe that was the issue for Priest. I'll put a few videos up and maybe a pic or two and then I'll leave you good folks alone again. Take care!
Non relevant my ass. The MIGHTY SAXON KICKED ASS!!! They only gave them a 30 minute set which was complete bullshit when you have shit ass bands playing longer! I got to meet Biff and talk to him in the signing tent along with the rest of the band. COOL as hell guys, ALL OF THEM!! Priest KILLED IT at Rock On The Range!! They showed all the posers what a REAL metal band was! We completely miscalculated and made our move way too early, during Papa Roach. I made it through, but it was COMPLETELY INSANE!!! You have no idea what it's like being crushed with dumb fuckers crowd surfing and smashing down on your head until you live it. It was like watching the Grammys all over again. Digging through all that crap for Judas Priest when it turns out that they won't even be shown, after all.
Yea I sat through all those crappy bands thinking Priest was gonna be on. WTF ! I just can't get into any of the new music, all those idiots wearing dirt bag clothes and rapping or screaming like the devil, I just don't get it.

MetalmanJP ......TOTALLY!
Shit bands like 5 Finger Death Punch(Sorry Halford but they SUCK!) and blah blah blah ....they are crap.
Bunch of baggy jungle cloths that hang down past thier ass with a backwards hat looking like a fuckin hillbilly.
Bands can suck "WITH PROPER AESTHETICS" ie: normal fit leather pants, leather jackets, boots spikes chains....sure just wearing these doent make the music but 'WITHOUT" old school aesthetics I wont even LISTEN to them once. Not once.
Old school traditional "METAL" aesthetics is what a "heavy metal" band should be wearing and then....then we wait for the sound to see if they are worthy or not.
Fuck off to these tunnel hat wearing baggy cloths wearing metal destroyers!

BTW, Becks. Is a koala native to NZ? Would I be in danger of a dingo eating my baby or is that only Aussie-landia? What is the common road-kill? In Grand Cayman, for example, it is the iguana. Here in the US where I live? Squirrels, possums (also known as opussums) and beavers in that order are the things I always have to watch out for when I walk the dogs. Calvin (another RIP) was the worst. Would get a dead squirrel or even a snake and I'd have to pry his jaws open to make him drop it. Bleah. Funny as my sister in Florida says that they actually have squirrels in a zoo there!
Just curious. Funny as in México you can buy iguana by the side of the road in certain cities and it really tastes great!

Got it! Kill possums and store Marmite (brand name or do many make the same thing?) stored on a shelf. You saw that I have been taking lessons in shooting pistols, so "pop" all rabbits as well. Swine rodents! LOL!!!
Vail - Marmite is kept in the cupboard a la peanut butter, room temp. It is a yeast extract spread and is very savoury.

Oh, Becks, I often go shooting pistols on a range Tues nights. Old fellow who keeps it open was chatting with me about someone from Australia who used to be an old Army soldier and somehow found his way "Down Under." Brought back (what he couldn't remember) two cans of "something horrible" for an Aussie friend of his back in the day. My first guess? Marmite (RIP!) LOL! Nope, it was vegemite.

Do you keep marmite/vegemite at room temperature or in the fridge? What IS in those two concoctions?

Awwww Becks, I am so very very sorry. Love him every single second you can. He knows that you love him. Take lots and lots of pictures. My heart was ripped out when we lost Wolfgang. He and I had a bond that was so very special. He was my baby. I'm crying now just typing this and he has been gone almost 3 years now. If you want that recipe for those pumpkin biscuits, just let me know and I'll send it to you. Pumpkin calms the tummy and is great for digestive upsets as well as helping with diarrhea. Sebastian LOVES them and will do anything for one. Make every day like Christmas for him as you said. Sending positive healing energy your way!
Ewwww exploding poop! We get some pretty nasty tissue samples in to the lab I'm working in now - we do tissue culturing to try and isolate Mycobacterium bovis - we get lesions and those are nasty often all pussy and gross.
Well I have some sad news to pass on to my JP friends. You guys have often heard about our dog Buddy. Well he has been limping over recent months, he's 9 so we just thought it's arthritis/sore joints from getting old. When we were away for my sister in laws wedding last week he vomited a couple of times so off to the vet we went when we got home. Vet discovered a huge lump up the top inside (where his back left leg meets his gut). Needle biopsy done and it has been confirmed our lovely boy has cancer we don't know how long he's got left but every day will be like Christmas from now on! He has also lost 6kg without a massive change in diet or rigorous exercise, couple with the cancer being quite aggressive (from what the vet said) we don't expect he'll be with us for much longer. He has been the best dog. Cancer is a bastard!!!!!!!!!!! I bawled for ages after finding out.

Your mom and I could spend days sharing stories, I'm sure!! Did she tell you any exploding poop stories??!! Now that's when the shit really flies! I tell everyone, BEWARE of the bulging container - she's gonna BLOW!! Sounds like someone fired a gun and scares the shit out of everyone. I had one next to me, thankfully the container was in a sealed bag on the bench, and before I could get to it, the lid came exploding off because of all the built up gas in the container and poop splattered inside the entire bag. I jumped about feet in the air! My friend wasn't nearly as lucky with hers though. It exploded inside the hood and caming splattering out. She was covered in shit from the chest to her knees and shit was covering every inch of the hood. Poor thing. We all gathered around her and carefully took off her lab coat which thank God protected most of her!!
You know that if I could BUY a backstage pass, I WOULD!! FaceBook has its uses for sure and this was one of them!! The tickets went on pre-sale through Crowd Surge before any other pre-sales. They only said on FB that the tickets were going on sale 3/25/15 at 10 am and gave the Crowd Surge link. I was on-line exactly at 10am and the "buy tickets" icon appeared. When it gave me row AAA, I almost passed out!! The tickets have to be picked up at Will Call and it says NO TRANSFERS allowed. We still haven't seen any being resold, so it looks like all the close tickets went to fans that are actaully going to the show, what a concept!! If you look up the show in Chicago, there are 384 tickets being re-sold for 6X down to 3X face value. Tried to get tickets to that show and were online immediately and ended up back in row P or something and said FUCK THAT!! Glad we said no way to that show!

Usually, the patient with an extreme case of Clostridium difficile will find their own donor, but I suppose if we are talking about research cases, then perhaps. The new treatment when all else fails, is to do a fecal transplant so that the donor stools bacteria will take over and the C. difficile will be crowded out. Ask your mom, they had a presentation on it a couple years ago at the ASCLS-Michigan meeting that I went to. Quite a NASTY little bug it is!!

I believe a rock melon to us is a cantaloupe to you. I will do some googling tomorrow about stopping the tumour from growing, thanks for the idea
While I have no idea what a rockmellon is, the vet (even drove him a couple of hours away to see a specialist) diagnosed Calvin with a heart tumor causing an estimated 80% blockage in bloodflow. While he was a stray and I have no real idea, most experts pegged him at 5 years old or just a bit under at the time of diagnosis. FAR too young. Same goes with little dog, Nina. She just went from heathy to dead with no indications whatsoever. Would have done a necropsy but, as the vet suggested, it could have been anything that can suddenly kill a human (well, save for car accidents and the like). You might want to take a look at the online source I managed to find about how to, at least, keep the tumor from growing. Yup, cancer is a bitch!
Poor Buddy. If nothing more, you always have a compassionate ear here.
Becks wrote:
Thanks for the offer Guido, but honestly, the tumour is so huge (at least rockmelon size) I don't think a change of diet or anything like that will help him. We still take him on wee walks, not long ones as Ada is learning to ride her balance bike at the same time haha. Thanks for the kind words, and you're right they are always puppies to us!

Awwww. VERY sorry to hear that, Becks. Of course I remember your puppydog (even full-grown, they are always "puppies" to me).
When I got the devastating news that Calvin had an inoperable hear tumor, the Vet only gave him months to live. I researched like crazy and even got some great tips about a change of diet (primarily REAL cooked food with veggies) and he "gave up his little puppy ghost" a bit more than a year after the Vet gave him to live. Want me to PM you what I still may have around, I'd be glad to do so.
One thing I did NOT do was to keep the dog as calm as possible (didn't want his heart pumping too fast). Nope, Certainly not a way to go out! One of the happiest pictures I posted once here was him going crazy digging up my backyard going after something. Never seen a happier dog.
Again, very sad news.

Yup. Right as always, HRMG. Spoke wiith Mom today (GO GREEN) and she confirmed what you said. Even laughed and gave me more of the way people sent in "specimens" over her 40+ career. She LOVED the way you abbreviated "C. diff" and told me more about your test than I could understand. I still say send poop in a Tupperware container! LOL!!! Obviously, she agreed with you.
Your hubby can't make it to Sterling Hights? Lemme know. I'd be g;lad to pay for his tix! Buy him a backstage pass or something!

, huh, what? Collected my continuing education credits and moved along, LOL! Actually, the C. diff one was pretty interesting. I stayed awake for it since I had just started to validate our C. diff PCR test. That's where I found out it is no longer just caused by antibiotic use, that it can be transmitted from person to person and healthy people have contracted it. They also talked about the new treatment - fecal transplants. All I could think was, THANK GOD I'm not the one that has to filter the poop! Definitely NOT the job that I ever want to do!! NO to the God Damn Tupperware container and NO YOU MAY NOT HAVE IT BACK WHEN I AM DONE WITH IT!!! A CLEAN, laboratory provided specimen container PLEASE!! FFS, I once got a turd in a velvet ring box!! I guess we know what she thought of the ring!
