| *yawn* Just dragged myself to work today. Should've called for vacation, but oh well. Had a great Christmas weekend, and I hope everyone else had as well. I prefer simple celebrations now, and I don't know why. It just seems to be a new thing now, since for the past couple of years these get togethers with the family are getting smaller and simpler. Even Thanksgiving was small with only some of my step family and some family friends. Could just be the times but that doesn't bother me. |

Hi Blah dwellers!..
I kind of missed the whole Christmas vibe here because I was sooo distracted by the fantastic time we were having at home.. But better late than never so, Merry Christmas everyone! I've made some amazing friends here that I treasure deeply and have been educated, informed, shocked and amused so many times thanks to this diverse board and its valued posters!
I'm busy winding a transformer for an amp I'm making so that is taking up a wee bit of my time. So far it seems to be going ok.. Two more transformers to wind and then I start putting the rest together. I am so keen to see how it will turn out. I've been wanting to do this for years and now Craig finally has the time to help me get it done (he's like a master tube amp builder and I got sick of just watching and listening to the finished product ha ha ha).
And er Brandon, LEARN TO SPELL!
Really! Enough already, your post are difficult to read and I think you can spell, you just get a kick out of not trying. If you really have a problem then please get help. You will benifit from it in the long run. At this moment in time, I just skip over most of your posts because it's just not worth my brain power trying to decode what on earth you are trying to say. Surely I'm not the only one thinking this?

Actually JJ, I've worked for companies that have what is called "floating holidays". You got 3 of them that you can use a year for a paid day off on days of your choosing!! I don't work for one now that offers that, but the contract is up in April, we'll see...lol

Doesn't Memorial Day (US) open up the summer season?? Always a great day for grilling, paid day off work, Indy 500 (?)...that's a good one for me!!

I don't have a real tree this year, that was last year as we alternate. I usually leave the decorations up 'til New Years is over as it's depressing taking them down. Btw, when's the next meaningful holiday??

Had I known his address I would have sent him the Hungy Hippos Game! HA!! As far as Holidays go, any holiday I get paid time off, which are very few, I'm happy with!

Actually that's a great idea. What if people had the right to choose their holidays. For example instead of taking Good Friday off, you might choose to work and take the Indy 500 day off instead. Brilliant.
