Good Thursday to all at JP.com

Joe, Reads like an interesting few days you've had! Hope Craig is on the mend, the bike repairs quickly, and SiL makes it home safe & sound.

Hello dwellers of the Blah thread..

Feck! What a day! Just got back from dropping my sister in law off at the airport. I'm not too sure if it's like this everywhere in the world but here, for a local flight you need to check in an hour before your flight time. Well, we got there less than 30 minutes before her flight left!

We were doing fine but because of the 2010 soccar thingy our infrastructure is going in overload. Road repairs and road works everywhere! Driving is a nightmare. It took us an hour and a half just to drive there.. Crazy.
Now I'm pooped and ready for a nap.. except I've got a drum lesson most probably in the next half hour or so.

OUCH!!! OOOOOOH, just thinking about it, yikes! At least that's one thing I don't have to deal with. I think I'll stick to my 5 mile runs thank you. I messed up my knees playing basketball in high school, so I can't run much farther than that without aggravating things.

"Kinda hard for that to happen with a female if you think about it I reckon, LOL." Run a marathon / or even a half is my response. "Show us your nipple tape" is a pretty common sign by the side of the road. LOL!!! I have almost flashed a few people on many a marathon. Better senses got ahold of me.

LOL!! Why would I want to run more just to get nipple burn? Doesn't it come from your shirt rubbing on your nipples or something? Kinda hard for that to happen with a female if you think about it I reckon, LOL.

Morning everyone. Another beautiful spring day here. I've just been for a good run with my doggy, and I wouldn't know what nipple burn is like, never had it, LMAO!
[_strat_] Tuesday, September 08, 2009 4:49:51 PM
Well, I can think of another pain, but the female half of the board wouldnt understand it...

I ask...is there any worse pain than nipple-burn? Come on runners, you know what I mean.

Good morning/evening Metalheads

Sorry about your bike Joe!!
[Becks] Tuesday, September 08, 2009 2:54:16 AM
Hiya Joe! Wow a crazy weekend at yours then! That sucks your bike got trashed! Sounds like a bizarre accident. Craig should have gone straight for an xray, like you said, but yeah, husbands don't listen LOL! Hopefully you can get your bike fixed without too much fuss.

Good Morning dwellers of the Blah thread..

Wow, not a cool weekend for me but some good stuff happened so it's not all bad. After the crisis with my mom (who is now well on the road to recovery) Craig went and trashed my bike... Yes, the new one. He went for his usual ride with his mates and sorta wiped out on a straight dirt road? Nobody knows how it happened. He was riding safely, as he usually does, not speeding or anthing stupid and it looks like the rear wheel just spun out.
This took place on Sunday and now, Tuesday, the day his sister arrives and two full days after the accident he decides he should've gone for his X-ray after all. I've been telling him to check if his shoulder or any bone there about is broken but he's totally ignored my suggestions and is now in more pain because the swelling and bruising just keeps getting worse.. Is it nasty of me to have less sympathy for him considerint I suggested he just have the fecking X-ray in the first place?? MEN!! No, wait, HUSBANDS! lol

I still do feel pretty bad for him because he is in considerable pain but sheesh! Why can't they just listen to advice or use their brains?

And for those wondering, No, the bike is not OK but nothing that can't be repaired.. I guess we single-handedly sorted out the BMW agencies recession problems lol.

Well, if you live in the urban areas, you would (and should) be fine. But if you live in the foothills or the local mountains (where wildfires are most likely to start), then you'd be in trouble...especially if the rainfall totals for the year have been below average, hot and dry winds have been blowing over the area, and the fuel (dead and dry grass) is there waiting for the spark that will set it all ablaze. Not a pretty sight.
