Hot glue doesn't hold for shit! Glass can stand up to the fire of a Kiln. If it was glued on I wouldn't have bought it.

Oh, piece of cake! With the right master, I am a quick learner! Lump of clay, wet it down, stick those suckers on loading the beads on a needle or coat hanger.

Hey, if it proves too difficult, I could always cop out and do the very common "stick a broken mirror" all over it. Two colored ones for eyes. Got it covered. Funny, as my mother has a planter in the form of a huge duck on her porch (came from Mexico, of course) for the longest time. My sister and I are going to fight over that giant disco-ball looking sucker! It is an heirloom!

Ok, sorry to say that the party must end. Did a five mile run with hills today and, while all hot and sweaty, decided to run my computer over to the office where I got to doing a bit of prep work for tomorrow. That was hours ago and I think I must smell as Calvin won't come near me.

Always a pleasure, ladies. CYAlls laters!

Orrrrr...you can make the clay sculpture, let it dry, then hot-glue the beads onto it, and work your way around the sculpture section by section!!

Bet it's harder than what is looks. those are very tiny beads! Got to keep them in place and remove the excess clay without getting the sculpture too wet.

Actually, I don't think they're that hard to make. I bought one for my older nephew (a cool gecko one) when my mom and I went to Puerto Vallarta two years ago. Looks like all you need to do is design the pattern, set tiny beads onto a clay sculpture, and voila! Instant seller!!

Hmmm, I'm sorting through old bills etc and found an old unopened letter from the electoral office for Craig, I hope it wasn't anything important   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Tuesday, September 01, 2009 9:54:28 PM)

HAAAA!!!! When I run along the beach in the summers in Brazil, the coconut venders line the whole route. No rum but I always stop at the same guy on the way back. I am a faithful client! While it is really fatty, sometimes, I'll even be so daring as to have him slice it open to eat the meat. Counter-productive to the run, but oh well...

Now both those are more along the lines of what I am thinking in terms of cheap sellable goods. Bikini tops and ornate turtles. Yeah, I see my future being formed as I type. Forget this mundane existence in which I live!

Becks, everyone should have few in their lives! I had a big ass drink to carry around but it tasted to good! I hung out with 2 Male Hairdressers from Texas, (nuff said), we had the BEST time! They messed up the VW they rented by driving over a large Rock and we went everywhere that little Bug would take us. And since my mother knew of their orientation she just let me go anywhere with them that week! Thank God!

Why dont you just make Coconut Bikini Tops, from the core's, and well as what you will use for the bottoms, I have no idea!
I Love big fresh Coconuts, cleaved with a Matchete and filled with Rum and the coconut juice! Big damn drink to carry around but God it tastes fantastic!

No, no. I am thinking more along the lines of whittling the coconut down into something. Them suckers are heavy, you know.

Oh, WAY cool vid! I'd not seen it before...had to watch the whole thing. Thanks, Spa. Feeling happier already. Hi Becks! Welcome to the party!

Chicklets, eh? You know, I think that market is already taken up by all the street kids. At least in every latin / luso american country where I've ever been. Don't want to get beat up over this, you know. Like trying to sell my ripped movies on some street corner. Nope, market saturation.

I wonder how you get the job as "shark watcher" as I saw on Shark Week? I'd be able to blow a whistle if I spotted a shark....
[spapad] Tuesday, September 01, 2009 9:40:34 PM
Yes, they are by the Beach venders! LOL But I held out for the lovely clay parrot I wanted after haggling for it for days in Accapulco!
I was so shocked when My kid whipped this pretty bird I had carried around for YEARS with the toss of just a foam ball! Smacked it against the wall and is fell to ruin. LOL

Tiny packets of chicle (gum) that's commonly sold in Mexico (and here too if you know where to look). Where most tourists go, you'll find someone selling those little packets.
