Freeze, I was checking out your photos on the pictures of you thread. I noticed you had a tattoo
on your forearm. Any pics of it on here or could you put one up? I dig tattoos and wouldn't mind seeing it.
Take care man. |

They were beyond incredible AND they did not have their singer!!!! (He had a family tragedy and went home). One of the VERY best, unsigned bands I have EVER heard!!!!!! I tell you the truth. They have just finished a US tour and are trying to get back to Cleveland. Apparently, the van they were in died and they had to find other means. Tough luck on the road...an old story!

How's the new job? I'm recovering from a really hectic few weeks. Life just went by so fast and is only starting to calm down now but for how long.. who knows? lol.
I'm envious of your new Priest goodies. I hope you're enjoying them and the rest of the gems you picked up on the weekend. I'm trying to find a labrador puppy but having no luck.. Not very metal, I know, but I hear they are amazing family dogs. Derek eventually moved in with my neighbour. He is a divorced man who has a ten year old daughter. They fell so in love with Derek and kept asking me if I could find them a dog like him. When we went for walks and they were outside they'd always ooh and ahh over him. She really took such a liking to him and I can't say no to kids so when she looked at me with those big brown eyes I told her dad if they could 'borrow' him. They are a match made in heaven and the bonus is I see Derek everyday and he isn't driving Craig nuts anymore lol. We really tried but they clashed so much. I think Derek was way too protective over me. It helps to see how happy he is now though. | | Becks wrote: | | Hope everyone is having a good start to their weekends! I had a bit of a spend up today, while dropping my sister off at a city a couple of hours away. Went in to a new shop in town and was promptly in heavy metal heaven! I got the new Back on Black Unleashed in the East LP, a British Steel LP, Metalogy (no I didn't have this, was proving hard to find), Iron Maidens Powerslave on CD (I have had this on MP3 for ages but like having CDs for the car) and a copy of Wheels of Steel by Saxon. All bought in celebration of my starting a new job on monday! I could easily have spent more. Plus, a shop assisstant saw my hands full of Priest stuff, and engaged me in a Priest conversation, LOL! Asked if I had any Halford stuff i.e. Rock in Rio, let me know Painkiller is coming on Back on Black soon (to which I said yep I know LOL!) and also mentioned the British Steel box set, to which I also told him I know about! He could tell I'm a major Priest fan LOL! |

A wonderful Saturday morning to all. Had a GREAT show last night! The band we opened for is AFFIANCE. I must tell you, If you can find their MS page, LISTEN to these guys!!
Anyhooooo...Hope you all have a nice weekend. I am literally SPENT. Got in around 3 this morning and was up at 8... |

Oh my dear, I am truly "livin the life"...!! It is all so incredibly fast-paced! It is also a remarkable amount of work. I honestly have such tremendous respect for Priest and all the other famous professionals that can do this day in and day out, year after year! (Especially at THEIR AGE!!!!) Unbelievable. It is grinding and repetitive and draining! Its funny but, the time onstage is a RUSH yet so fleeting. Its like a brief flicker in time and then you are back to the five hour practices and the same songs over and over and over and over and.....well, you get the idea. All we as fans ever see are the mind-blowing shows and, after a few hours, we go home but THEY go right back to it. Day after day.
It is something for which one clearly needs a tremendous amount of passion. It is just SO much work, not to mention I am already at a severe handicap! When the music plays, I feel like I am not in the real world. I go to another place and float in a "netherworld" and it is just so powerful! (And we are just a little, nobody band!) Then, BAM! We are back and it is pack up the gear and head back to the practice studio to pound out the hours until the next show. Livin the Life, indeed! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
