Hmmmmm.....just checked on an i4, i5s, i6 and Motorola Android. All red here.
Not the OS, obviously. Have yet to try the different flavors of Win at home but that is just plain odd. Thanks for the extra info. Simple "need to know" will have me test it out ASAP.

I had forgotten the halloween effect. in 05 though I thought they played calgary on the 31st. I know it was very close to halloween, and Alice cooper played same night at the Jack singer (the fancy concert hall). Alice sold out 2500 seats. the paper said priest had about 8000 fans, looked about right. lower bowl was close to full, upper was sparse.
Hard rock casino in coquitlam is only 1,000 seats, it is a terrible time to book for a band for beside xmas the next biggest event night of the year is halloween, had trouble filling it here in Vernon. Same time October 24th 2005

Huh. Curious. I saw all red font when I checked with a webbook on Win 10. Four more Win-boxes / laptops running all from XP to 10 upstairs so I'll take a look at those ASAP. On all other machines was just like this MacBook Pro running Yosemite....RED.
I'll fire up some more machines tomorrow while I scratch my head wondering how some coding could go blue on certain machines. Font change, yes. Color though? Hmmmmm.....

Just saw about the canceled show in CA. Wonder, how do you get a scheduling conflict that close in? someone would have noticed no? or is the attendance so poor they gave up? the canadian leg seems to have tickets available everwhere.
Not sure what the capacity of the hardrock in vancouver is, but tix available for both shows. Tix in any seating area available in winnipeg and regina.

Nice posts as always, man. Saw on the first sidebar that Tommy Lee had to sit on the sidelines due to an injury. THAT would have sucked to have travelled all that way to front row M&G and NOT see Tommy play! Only thing worse would have been the the Priest shows that they were unable to play.

Anyone plan on buying it? While pretty cool, a big issue for me would be the black color and the logo wearing off over time. If it were made of cloth or canvas I would definitely buy it.

i bought the new iron maiden as well , more out of curiosity and hope that this one wouldnt suck like final frontier,which i did not buy,.my favourite song so far is "if eternity should fail" i have only listened to disc 1 ,so more critique to follow , but each of the songs could be 3-4 minutes shorter as there is a lot of "session" playing the same refrain , they are at a point they can do what ever they want people would buy it, i was hoping it would be epic, but i just cant get past the length of the songs , longer does not equal better. this album so far is self indulging,egotistical and just "okay" as the band members duel each other to write the longest songs , with dickinson winning with an 18 minute monster . it cannot hold a candle to ROS as far i am concerned , but when you get this big ala maiden and metallica , people will buy it . i just wish that Priest had kept touring and keeping their name out there so they would be more current, you dont have to have new stuff ,i would pay big bucks to see Fuel For life ,DOF,SFV original tours re done now , imagine painkiller again!

I"m guessing you might remember a post of mine a few years back about a show I went to that had Halford opening for Maiden back in 2000. I mentioned that Bruce went on an anti-gay rant and all I could think of during is Rob backstage maybe hearing this shit. Never liked Bruce Dickenson since. Some here doubted that happened but I can say in all sincerity that I've never lied about anything on here. I've been wrong or mistaken but never lied. It's been 15 years since that happened and I still refuse to purchase, listen to, or acknowledge anything Iron Maiden because of it. Also (and on a different note) ... @ JD specifically, sign up for facebook. Just do it for the Saxon page. I know what you think of them and I'm telling you you would love it. The band is always on there and constantly interacting and posting. I went to the Pittsburgh show last week. I am not saying this for you I'm being serious. I was totally amazed at just how good they were. It had to be close to as good as their early days. They said they haven't played Pittsburgh since 83' so that helps explain why I've never seen them. After the show I was bummed I've never seen them before especially in their prime. They concentrated on three albums(my favorites) for the most part but did play other stuff. Crusader, Battering Ram(new), and others. Biff took a video from the stage to post on facebook. My wife is on it but you have to know where and hit pause to see her but it was still cool. She took some awesome videos for me. I'll post 2 or 3 of them here for you. She got a drumstick and I got a guitar pick. They didn't throw much out so both of us getting something was cool. Thats awsome you saw Saxon...its funny because I like the old songs the classics but only played by this current line up ....I just dont like the "vibe" and along with their image back in the 80's. It kinda spanked of wierdness to me but thats just me.

It doesn't sound too bad but she's right next to the speakers so there is some distortion. It's worth listening to or I wouldn't post it. She did mess up a little on filming the solos but you guys should still like this.

I only heard "Speed of Light", and it's.....okay. It's got the same feel as The Final Frontier album. Hence, why I have not rushed to the nearest Best Buy and bought "Book of Souls".
Most days I feel that the Eddie artwork has cheapened the band's music quality completely. Have you seen the music video to Speed of Light? That's some visually impressive stuff marching to the sound of an okay song. At this point they could make an album of them just farting and burping on the mike, slap on some awesome Eddie-related artwork and the fans would gobble it up and claim that it rivals the classics.
Ok....guido....HRMG....spa.....Head Banger....Budred....Vail......Iron Maiden's new album "The Book Of Souls" is #1 in 24 countries......this BY FAR crushes the numbers Redeemer Of Souls album has achieved......this doesn't bother me because we all know Maiden is BIGGER than Priest in popularity much due to "EDDIE" and artwork packaging ect...
what bothers me is that I listened to this album twice and I really wanted to like this album and wanted a great Maiden album just one more time but the only song on the entire album that is decent is the 2nd track "Speed Of Light"....the rest? The rest of the entire album is "FLAT BORING".
Nostrodamus beats this BY FAR.
What bothers me more is that there is a STAGGERING AMOUNT of fan comments hailing this album as BRILLIANT......all different places like blabbermouth...youtube.....I just dont get it? My god The Final Frontier was terrible and even THAT I this is more interesting.

J.D., I honestly have not heard the whole thing as I had to go to Memphis the past couple of days but did hear one song on SiriusXM. "Eh...." was exactly what I thought. I'll report once I get a chance to see the whole album (stopped by a Best Buy and SAW it) but, as you say, cover but heaven help us if this is another 8minute / track album as has been the norm since I tuned out after "Fear of the Dark." Sure, good song here and there but few and far in between.
Same thing went for WASP. You know I was a fan and was really hoping for a good comeback but the DJ on the Boneyard gave the only track I heard such hype (even said that it was on par with Blackie in the 70s? - yeah, 70s?!?). Again, nope. No hit with the only song I heard. Cannot believe the hype around that one either. Hell, WASP was more an 80s - 90s band! WTF was that guy smoking, I wondered. 70s?!?
I'll say what I think once I get a moment to listen to both albums. I'll say that I even wondered about the Scorps. Goodbye tour that lasted a year+ and now a new album finally released in the States (same album released in Germany 6 months ago). Is this on par for the Stones or Ozzy who had a "goodbye tour" back in the 80s?
At least I have a good feel that when I go see Alice / Crüe next month that they mean it! Crüe says "goodbye" and I am sure it will happen due to the Vince / Tommy hatred.
Time will tell but Tommy isn't even signing for the VIPs. Sad to have three of four but better than none.

Just got back from Memphis, Auntie B. Hall and Oates! Second row! Expensive but what a jam!
Too damn hot, though. Outdoor event and they were to give me a wristband to get into the pit (ha! Hall and Oates) when I walked in the gate. Had to jog back to the entrance to get one but good time all around.
