Let me get this straight. You couldn't find a pair of those summer shoes that look like you took a straw hat and made a pair of shoes out of them? My uncle Val used to wear those all the time, only he wore them with dark socks! Are those the shoes I'm to envision here?

Ok, back from the big city and I have mixed feelings. A big moment in my life. I bought new flip-flops. Well, "slides" actually, as I burned the hell out of my toes walking the dogs in my real Havaianas (ho ho...you'll love that DF!) the other night. I don't know. $14.99 instead of $9.99? Turmoil.
I think that there should be a rule that neither underwear, socks or shoes should ever stop being offered by the manufacturer. Who will support me in my grass-roots movement?!? ARRRRRRIBA. |

Nah, I have them both. Still wear them around the house and, yes, you have seen this pic before.
Still....big move for me to try new ones. I think I need a support group..... Well, considering how my Cubbies are playing like crap...the good news is the Bears open their pre-season tonight, so I'm hangin' with some Bud's and a couple of friends...do some backyard tailgating and start doin' our part to get in regular season mode (he, he, he!!!!)...will catch y'all later | | joedraper wrote: | | Hello dwellers of the Blah thread
I got my car back! So you have a sort of happy Joe lol.
On the other hand, my son has a fever of 40C (not sure what that is in F but it's in danger levels). I'm a tad concerned because SA and in particular our town has been hit pretty hard with Swine Flu. My children have good immune systems and are generally healthy but they have both been ill lately. Zakk is also complaining about sensitive eyes so I'm watching him like a hawk and giving meds to keep his temp down but it is not a nice time as far as child health goes. I am stressed but also doing my best to remain optamistic. |

Hi Joe, Great news about the car! Hope you don't mind - I think the sensitivity your l'il man is experiencing may be the fever, depending on which came first ...? Don't wait too long before getting him to a doc, k. As always, my best to you & yours : ) [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by joedraper from Saturday, August 15, 2009 1:05:42 PM) | | joedraper wrote: | | Hello dwellers of the Blah thread
