Yeah, he will be very frustrated at not being able to speak properly. But the fact he hasn't gone downhill so far is great.

While I am sure that the confusion he feels must be frustrating, the fact that he is alert and even swearing is very good news.

Thanks Spa, HB. I just spoke to my mum and Grandad has had a MRI and a heart scan, no results yet though. He is alert and trying to talk but getting frustrated so he is getting out words like 'shit!' LOL!!!

I'll be keeping your Dad and Craig in my prayers Becks. So sorry. Lets hope the Doc's got the right anticlots running fast enough and he will regain his strength in therapy. It won't come back right away but if he got there early, which it sounds like he did, then the chances are really good.

becks, best wishes.
[Becks] Thursday, September 30, 2010 4:56:34 PM
Cheers guys, mum is keeping me informed. He's having tests done now, he's conscious but can't talk (the only word he can say properly is NO, lol), his right side is shaky etc, and he looks really vacant apparently. Waiting to hear more news soon.
Vail - Craig is gone for 6 months this time. That's standard deployment length for the NZ army etc.
[Vaillant 3.0] Thursday, September 30, 2010 3:32:15 PM
So sorry to hear about your grandpa, Becks. Hopefully he'll pull through.

Sucks to hear about Craig being deployed, too. How long will he be out this time?

Well this week just keeps getting better for me - NOT! Craig recentlyt left for his deployment, and my mum just rang me to say my Grandad has had a stroke, he's on his way to hospital in an ambulance but he isn't good

Aww hell yeah dude. I'll be sure to put a complete review of the whole concert ASAP. Most likely when I get back to work on Monday for Sunday will be to recuperate and watch PPV Wrestling on TV.

You guys are going to love Rob Zombie. I saw him twice this summer and I thought he was
badass live. The second time it sounded like his mike was too loud for a few songs but after that
they rocked. The guitar player is the shit and you'll love his solo. Also, the stage show is very
theatrical. Lots of fire, explosions, video monitors, and assorted creatures walking out on stage.
(Remember), when concerts were a good time(?), this is one of them. After you guys go, put a review up.
I'm curious as to what you thought of him.
Mars Needs Women, (Angry Red Women!!!)
        and
Sick Bubblegum!!! (You'll love these!)

Another great weekend in the books. But this weekend will be even more awesome! Me and two friends are going to see Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper finally! Now that will be a wild weekend! But I must get through another work week first, but that will be easy enough.

Also I need to get Halford's next album ASAP when it comes out tommorrow cause it sounds like it will be freaking awesome!

Good morning and happy friday everyone! Just checking the board to see how everyone's doing. In a couple of weeks we are getting new work computers over here (FINALLY!) and now we have to learn through some online programs how to use Microsoft Office 10. Pfft, this is easy for me anyway though at least my brain is at least being stimulated somewhat and not just sitting in a daze while I toil away in the warehouse or microfilming area.
[Becks] Thursday, September 23, 2010 1:26:23 PM
Ah tis friday here! LOL! Yay the weekend is upon us! Not that it matters for me cos I am on leave at the moment hehe.

I love Netflix!  I'm completely submerged in Buffy, now that I've moved on from Hercules. Watch them anytime I want! I love that! LMAO
[guidogodoy] Tuesday, September 21, 2010 2:24:35 PM
Yeah, look at my post. I did see that he was in Sparrow. Also read how coaching can take a toll on one's life! Not surprising. High stress job and all eyes on you to win.

Like you said, here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

That was AWESOME!!! We were screaming, "What the hell are you doing?!!!" and then saw the play unfold...... TOUCHDOWN!!! Yeah baby!
Did you see that Dantonio had a heart attack on Sunday morning? They took him to Sparrow and he is doing well. Hope he recovers quickly.

Wanna see it again? I love the look on the faces of staff / players. LOL!!

Only sad part is that the MSU coach had a heart attack after the game. Yeouch!

Oh yeah I saw the highlights for that game. That was a beautiful trick play at the end. I am surprised one of my neighbors, who is a Notre Dame grad from 1956, didn't have a heart attack watching that game. Honestly we almost had a heart attack from Iowa's comeback in the 4th quarter but our QB just shrugs off the interception and leads us 70 yards for the soon to be game winning TD. Then we sack the crap out of Stanzi on their comeback drive and it was all over.
