HA!! Kitty Jammies!! My dad used to have an old pea green truck and he would come to pick us up at school sometimes in that hunk of junk! Had I ever thought to pack a Paper bag for such occasions, I think I would have! LOL  Like you said, back to the BlaHHHH!

Yeah, I get the door slam too - At least it's not the front door! LOL  We'd much rather harrass each other in other ways!  If there was a camera in our car some mornings ... He won't let me get out to change drivers anymore, especially when I wear my kitty jammies to drop him off at band practice! hm ... I wonder why?!  Think he's embarrassed   OK ... back to metal blah ; )

Well, Im only uh....cough...... 40... five-ish or something this fall, come Novemeber! Long way away from being a Grand though, as Flora is only 12, Thank God! I'm nervous about 15 or 16! Guess she can go on a date if her mom rides with her! Never!
She's such a good natured girl, I really don't see it being a problem though!

Bev, I agree, we are very fortunate to count Faithful Defenders amongst our family! I've see a thousand cover bands over the years but non to match the dedication this Band had!

Hey Ron!  You know ... there are cover bands that play just about everyday, all over the world and that is very cool - but I gotta say, what these gentlemen did goes beyond the scope of "cover band"!  I'm preachin' to the choir.  I know you know what I mean. : )
Faithful Defenders and their works Raw Steel & Forged Steel are a legacy of the membership here at JP.com ...

Freeze, I'd like to tell you ('Meltdown and the rest) Forged Steel is a fantastic piece of work, from the cover art, to engineering, and post production work!!! I finally burned it to my library.  I confess also to listening to some of the new music you are currently working on, while lurking here in the shadows these past few months -  My best to all!
[Deep Freeze] Sunday, August 02, 2009 2:25:38 PM
Thanks, you guys. Seriously. It's funny but I am finding that I am able to go higher with my voice these days. I guess it is because I am singing almost everyday now and I am getting some strength back. I have done a couple songs now where I have really surprised myself. I thought those days were LONG gone but they seem to be coming back..well, at least PARTIALLY.... HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[spapad] Sunday, August 02, 2009 2:21:41 PM

[spapad] Sunday, August 02, 2009 10:15:08 AM
That's cool! I knew all my Great grands except one, he was much older than his wife and passed away shortly after my sister was born. I have very vivid memories of all my greats, especially greatgrandma McCoy. She lived in a house all by herself after greatgranpa McCoy died for many years. She never had a indoor toilet a bath yes but no toilet and wouldn't let anyone build one for her! She was Cherokee and had the most beautiful long braided hair. I'll never forget her smile! Her birthday was, essentially, a family reunion each summer. I would do anything short of wet myself to keep from having to go to the outhouse in the corner of the yard! LOL I often begged my uncle Everette to take me down to his house down the road so I could use the bathroom! He had the fancy bathroom, it wasn't attached to the house mind you but it did have all working plumbing! Yes folks, places like that still existed in the 70's!

WOW, that is something!!  Both my folks are in their mid to late 60's, so it is possible that they could live long enough for that to happen,  that would be truly amazing!!  Well, must be off for a bit, I can't seem to find my cell charger.  Took it to work with me Friday and I know I brought it home, just don't remember where I put it.  Take it easy Freeze, will chat with ya later!!

Shoot, I'm stiil walking on clouds from my daughter graduating...this is just a totally different level!!  Can't wait to introduce him to the Great grandparents!!  I'm the only side of the family with parents still living, so this is truly special.  I remember my Great grandparents on my Mom's side but not on Dad's.  I don't know how common or rare it is to have Greatgrandparents, but it is something special in our family!!!

[J.D. DIAMOND] Sunday, August 02, 2009 1:44:27 AM

Hey spapad!! Haven't been home all day but also to Head Banger,Guido and Hellrider....this is a "Wheelabrator" or a "Shot Peen machine"....this is a random
picture I got off google but this is what the machine looks like except the one I work on is almost  about "three times the size" of that one in this picture!

The one in this pic look tiny compared to the Wheelabrator I work on. But the wheels are in place and ect.....its a cool job and I actually "enjoy" working
on it and have for about 15 years now....I find jobs(parts) to load onto the table with certain racks to place them and make sure these jobs have same
intensitiy call outs so they get hit at the same RPMs...ect...each cycle when the parts are being peened lasts 4 minutes and we rotate the parts 180 turn
then after the nest cycle we flip them over....then after the next cycle rotate 180 turn again...this asures the parts are being saturated by spec.

I stand at a desk with a computer to log the information in and there is a control panel to operate the RPMs as to how hard we peen the parts....
when the machine is peening for the 4 minute cycles....if I've already got my paperwork filled out...I can go bullshit with one of my friends!!! lol!!

But make no mistake about it...I do not "slack off"... I've peened more parts than anyone at that shop ever has....and my production skills are top notch.

There is also a manual shot peen machine like a small sand blast machine that we have to peen some parts that have clevis' that can not be reached in the
wheelabrator,so we shoot them manually then put them in the wheelabrator machine.  We have to take a written test,a practical test once a year per
Boeing BAC 5730 spec.....the tests are usually easy because I've been doing it for so long but they always throw trick questions in there to try and

confuse you....why,I do not know!! lol! A dude from Boeing in suit and tie comes in once a year and tests us shot peeners....there are tons of questions

and ect...and on our part there is alot of "foolery" lol!!!  There are some things we hide but its not something that would jeapordize the integrity of an

airplane part or anything "serious".

....I still work in Shot Peen about once a week now...so slowly when the work comes in I'll be back!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Sunday, August 02, 2009 12:08:41 AM) Edited at: Sunday, August 02, 2009 1:53:47 AM
