OK- since I clearly have NO problem shamelessly promoting my band here, I figure this is a good place to ask a favor of my friends and fellow Priest Board members! As many of you may recall, we (Breaking Dawn) have been nominated by Vegas Rocks Magazine for an award. We have been nominated along with five other bands for "Best Local Live Entertainment Performers".
In order to have a shot at this, we need VOTES! And, as you may be wondering, it is remarably EASY to do this for us!!! I am asking that ALL of you (or as many as are willing) please, PLEASE send an E-MAIL to [email protected]
Your subject should read: BEST LOCAL LIVE ENTERTAINMENT PERFORMERS and just write "I vote for BREAKING DAWN" in your e-mail.
All VERY simple, NO?? It would mean a lot to me and I am sincere in my gratitude for those of you that are willing to assist!!!!!!!

Not to mention getting an opportunity to "hob nob" with some known names of Rock! Lemmy was there last year , too!! So was Lita Ford. A chance to actually talk to any one of them is a chance of a lifetime!!! SO excited!!

Thank you, Ron. And, in my ongoing effort to at least be somewhat participatory here, I bid you all a wonderful Monday morning. I have the wonderful task of placing posters up at the venue we are playing this coming Saturday. I "get" to go to the printer this morning, pick up the stuff, drive out to the venue and place them in "strategic" areas throughout the building. *yawn* THEN, I "get" to drive off to the sister" venue on the OTHER side of town, leave materials with THAT manager and THEN come back and call some representitive from a downtown Vegas venue that wants to book us!!!! All because the guy that usually does that is out of town!!
So, I am off to see the wizard. Have a nice day, folks.

Honestly, I really don't think we will actually win...There are just too many VERY good acts here in Vegas. We are relatively new to the scene and still making our name. You play in crap bars and half-filled halls and occasionally you get a full house someplace...You slog it out from place to place or town to town and you think, "what the hell am I doing"?? You work for peanuts and you really wonder if ANYONE is watching or even cares! It is an amazing feeling to actually get some recognition!!
