@ vail.... yes Scorpions kick butt. I used to be a Kiss fan,still am but from 1974 to 2000. Just SICK of them now lol. AC/DC from 1974 to 1983 also kicks butt. Started getting into music when I was a little kid in the late 70's cause my best friend's brother was like 10 years older than us and got us into music.
Heavy Metal is a blood that runs through my viens and is #1 of course. Beatles,Stones,Zeppelin,Kiss... 70's Aerosmith,AC/DC multiple bands I've liked we never mention much because I usually mention heavy metal and other metal genres ....
But my favorite non metal band I have albums of since I was a kid and have them on CD for years is southern rock legends "Molly Hatchet". I was grown up on Molly Hatchet along with Judas Priest and my favorite other bands . Not a fan of Lynard Skynard,38 Special or any other southern rock bands or country artists etc... never had a chance to post Molly Hatchet... with snot and shit disturbers here etc... lol

Well, alright. I'll answer. If we are to go by album purchases, my favorite non-metal band would be...the Scorpions. They're cool. Would love to get some more of their 70s albums. I also like Joe Satriani. Fleetwood Mac are in there, too. I like most classic rock, really. Also like classical music, jazz, and Mexican music when I'm in the mood.

The album is so GREAT that It's #4th best Priest album imo. It's incredibly superb quality and all 14 tracks are absolutely grand gems. And Flame thrower ? Yeah it's fuckin excellent man I love this track and to top it off it's got Glenn's fabulous slide guitar solo god it's one of my favorite Tipton solos because it's got pure attitude and balls,pure heavy metal like moonshine its so pure and from one of the original creator of the genre.
Necromancer to me tops Night Crawler and Demonizer it's so kick ass and Glenn's solos here is really good considering his Parkinson's. Fuckin Glenn is a non stop fighter he's shown the fans!
Ritchie is simply on fire on this album and his solos are memorable Judas Priest worthy as his riffs. The whole album is just kick fucking ass.
It beats the Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller albums by a hair imo. I'll say Screaming,British Steel and Sad Wings of Destiny are better.

guido absolutely!!! Ritchie not only does Sinner Justice,he does Judas Priest Justice. We all love K.K. and wish thing turned out better with him and the band.
I know K.K. may not be ringing up Blabbermouth.net and saying something every day,it's Blabbermouth taking bits of things he's said and posting them multiple times but the fact here is HE SAID THEM. His comments about the band how Glenn drank too much during live songs was a LOW BLOW by K.K. and how he said Ritchie is basically a clone.
Saying he can play Sinner better than Ritchie was UNCALLED for as a fan in my opinion. Yeah K.K. obviously your the one who wrote the guitar solo. What a dis on Ritchie. Saying the band had run it's course. And many other negative bullshit.
It's SAFE to say he'll never play in the band after those kind of negative comments.its just BEST for Judas Priest if K.K. remains a past legend and the band keep on promoting the Firepower album and tour.
The thing that K.K. doesn't realize is that Ritchie is approx. 2 1/2 years away from being in Judas Priest for a decade. Yeah 10 years that's crazy to think and what else he's not realizing is that an OVERWHEALMING amount of fans LOVE Ritchie Faulkner ... who the hell wouldn't like Ritchie besides K.K.?
We have accepted him as a permanent legit member and an elite member of the band. To me Ritchie is just as important to Judas Priest as Glenn and K.K. are.
Without Ritchie we would of lost Judas Priest in December 2010.

@guido... Fuckin A Glenn's SLIDE SOLO in Flame Thrower is one of my FAVORITE solos of all time and I'm not just saying that cause the album is new,it's among my favorite already! Fuckin thing is just fuckin BAD ASS man,it fuckin RULZ and is my favorite guitar solo on the album...
LOVE how he rolls in after Ritchie's killer solo and it just BURNS right in with Glenn's signature style unmistakably Glenn,and those pinching harmonics at the end he does totally REEKS of Tipton's kick ass style... definitely my top 5 Tipton guitar solos.....
Fuck I love that solo,every time I hear it I'm automatically making air guitar moves and a funny face while I do it I'm sure of lol. A+ solo for Mr. Tipton I hope he does a couple more solos like this on the next album!
