A Touch of Evil!
[Nupe The Ripper] Monday, January 31, 2011 1:49:20 PM
Beyond the Realms of Death, definitely. Although it's quite powerful for a ballad.
Other great ones are Turn on Your Light, Prisoner of Your Eyes, Night Comes Down, Out in the Cold and Angel (did I miss any ballads at all? ). Of these, perhaps Night Comes Down.
[JT_Small_Deadly_Space] Monday, January 31, 2011 7:32:42 AM
Ah there are a few that I absolutely love but 'beautiful' ballads would have to be 'Angel', 'Last Rose of Summer' or 'Turn on your Light'.
[hagar55voa] Saturday, January 29, 2011 2:15:47 PM
"Angel"...This is a no brainer!
[wwol] Thursday, January 27, 2011 8:02:14 PM
Diamonds & Rust led me to Joan Baez who then led me to Bob Dylan. He in turn led me to Johnny Cash. And so on. The one ballad that has impacted my Love & Thirst for all music for many years. But no matter how far away I roam, I always come back to the METAL GODS.
[metalgodess] Thursday, January 27, 2011 9:43:09 AM
I'd say Here Come the Tears - pure gut-wrenching anguish in the vocals and guitarwork, and strangely erotic ....also Beyond the Realms...can I count Lochness???? It's kind of anthemy-ballady....

I posted a correction on your spelling (jokingly). I deleted it so as not to scare you away. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by fuckcinderella from Thursday, January 27, 2011 8:34:13 AM)

I'm thinking "Fire Burns Below" "Alone" and "Turn on Your Light"
[DealwiththeDjango] Wednesday, January 19, 2011 5:28:21 PM
Well Priest have so many Dam Good Ballads written, for me one of the greatest is not written by Priest is simple "Diamonds and Rust" but meanwhile the newer edition from "Rising in the East" ,"Angel" put sad Wings around me now.. and Worth we Fighting for have seen in Acoustic Ed. Video absolute Awesome.
I must say that im a big "Priest-Fan" since begin of 1980!!!!

Love Bites is my fav. It shows almost all of Rob's vocal ranges.
[Juudas Pappi] Saturday, October 02, 2010 8:51:56 AM
The best Judas Priest ballas has got to be Dreamer Deceiver! It is absolute sex appeal! It's legendary. Some other great ballads are Prisoner Of Your Eyes and Before The Dawn. They are all awesome!
[Eternal Servant] Wednesday, September 29, 2010 12:02:24 AM
Now I'm hooked on Fire Burns Below. Beautiful accoustic solo, twin leads and Rob's vocal filled with emotions.
[hellrider 31038] Tuesday, September 28, 2010 7:35:32 PM
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BEAUTIFUL
CRANK IT

Did an 8 mile run tonight with this topic in my head (and ears): most beautiful Priest ballad.
At the moment, it is "Here Come the Tears." Like many have said, it is just too beautiful. Haunting melody mixed with plaintive vocals that are accentuated all the more as it serves as the intro to the explosive force that is "Dissident Aggressor."
My opinion may change tomorrow but, for tonight, HCtT has my vote.
[K2M] Wednesday, September 22, 2010 5:58:24 PM
Epitaph
[chileansteel] Wednesday, September 22, 2010 2:09:34 PM

I agree Jeanine, Here Come The Tears is a wonderful ballad. Haunting vocals from Rob, and just a wonderfully written and performed song. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Jeanine from Tuesday, September 07, 2010 9:38:35 PM)
