I didn't get my information from anywhere on the internet ,I can't discuss it on the forum but I did get it from an outside source,I don't know much about the band's personal situations but this subject "I know things about stuff".
I did miss the Painkiller tour because they didn't come to Seattle,I missed the Reunion tour 2004 and the Retribution tour 2005 and figuared I'd definately catch them in 2008 ect...because I figured they would be cranking out a few more Angel of Retributions the next couple years....boy was I wrong and haven't seen them since 1988. If they tour here next year I'll go see them.

Mr. J.D. DIAMOND, where did you get the idea as if KK was the driving force to create Nostradamus? I've been reading interviews but I never actually felt what you said. Your comment is the first time I read it's KK's baby.
Honestly speaking, if I compare KK and Glenn, I like Glenn more because his playing shows influences from playing the piano which he learned from his mom.
I thought KK was influenced by Glenn on assimilating classical piano playing into beautiful twin leads as he started working with his partner.
I've read that you hardly enjoyed Nostradamus album except for Calm Before The Storm~Nostradamus. How do you know it's KK's baby if you don't listen to the album? They put 40 years of experiences into the album and after it came out, the members said that they are proud of it.
Like you, if I had to pick one segment, I would choose Calm Before The Storm ~Nostradamus coz all the essence is in it, different singing approaches by Rob, solos by KK & Glenn and beautiful twin leads, fierce bass & drums.
By the release of an album like Nostradamus, the board of Grammy seems to have changed the way they looked at Judas Priest. The album paved the way to the award in 2010 for Dissident Aggressor.
Priest's albums are different. It was an easy guess that the new album will be different from Nostradamus even if KK is still in the band.
Although I like Glenn a bit more than KK, it's unbelievable that he left the band before finishing the tour.
Regardless he lost slight enthusiasm playing live, it is business. If he commented that he's going to be on the tour, he should finish it and then retire if he wishes.
Then, let Richie do his job. Or let Richie do his job until KK realized that missing out the tour was not a good idea.
KK's career is glorious but the way he exited the band is not.
I will still support the band.
Mr. J.D. DIAMOND, I hope you break your trend of missing out the tour since 1988.

KK Ducking out does suck but, that's life nothing lasts forever
maybe this new kid will give things a kick in the ass the way painkiller did
Downing was a big part of Priest's appeal but it's not the end of the world
If they didn't fold up when Rob left , they'll hold their own again.
Anyone heard anything about the new Priest collections coming out ?

Exactly Head Banger. K.K. doesn't want to be in Judas Priest anymore,he made that clear by willing to let Nostradamus be the last Priest studio LP. K.K. isn't good for this band anymore and hasn't been since the end of the Retribution tour and I'm glad to see him get the fuck out of here because he has been the poison that had made this band watered down and sick for the last 4 years now.
The only spark thats worth a shit is the 30th aniversary of the British Steel album and tour which was only brought up because of how shitty Nostradamus was, thank god they never toured it! I'm glad K.K.'s been a part of Priest but at this point I wish he would of left right after the Angel Of Retribution tour 2007,we prabably would of had a kick ass album already had he left back then.
K.K. not being on this next Priest album is no big deal to me anymore,I don't care if its "not Judas Priest" ,I don't care if the duo guitars aren't there anymore,I just want a heavy kick ass album from Rob and Glenn and I'm 100% possitive they will deliver something worthy that beats the shit out of thier last album which was inspired heavily by none other than a K.K. Downing.

and then what? best case kk and priest realize this could be handled beter, kk goes on tour and doesnt want to be there? ever work with anyone who doesnt want to be there? so kk is on stage, giving it 90%, the dude is a pro so he probably wont stand there like a stick but if he isnt into it, its not gonna be the same. then they lose richie, which may or may not matter for the future. I dont see an upside to a petition.

Then simply don't listen to them. As of now 2011 Judas Priest aren't "for you". Using the forum to critisize an album or a tour, stage clothing ect..ect..ect.. is discusion no matter how many different opinions there are on forums but using the forum to critisize the band for simply doing what they love the most (and that is keeping Judas Priest alive and kicking) is pretty lame, and anoying and you call yourself a fuckin fan" pssssft right.

without kk downing on guitar....it just doesn't seem right for judas priest to go forward. they should have ironed out their differences and sided with him on whatever was the issue. it was hard to listen to priest without halford, it's impossible to listen to priest without downing.

Its real sad.Sounds like he really did'nt want to retire.Wonder what communication breakdown was inside the band and what between K.K. and management was a deal breaker as far as communication was concerned?Really wish they could patch it up.Did'nt he marry Rob's sister? Some of the band ties are for real. They kept it hid till they had a new axeman pry so it would'nt hurt ticket sales.Gosh knows I'll still go see it even if K.K. is'nt there.I'd see Halford no matter who he was with and he still has some very important musicians with him.
Just like if one of the 3 Iron Maiden guitarists cut out I'd still go see them.Hope it was Janick though if I had to pick! Sorry Janick.
